most adults can’t even make the connection. they just think 🤔 cats are evil demon creatures from the lowest darkest pit of hell and they scratched me because satan ordered them to do so
Let’s take a moment to bask in the fact that she apologized to the cat. Whatever folks are responsible for the raising of this remarkably amazing little girl, way to go!😭
Doesn't matter actually, no pet should be a victim of small children, the fault belong to parents who allow pets to be abused and mistreated by their children
Ikr, some adults can't even fathom that animals have boundaries of their own just like us, and they're not simply for our entertainment. My mother was petting a stray cat once who was relaxing, and when the cat warned her to stop, she just laughed and kept petting her, then got all mad when the cat clawed her and left. Like, what did you expect?
@@rodicapopescu2038 Yeah, Freddy really looks like he hates being around that monster of a little girl. How dare the parents allow the cat to spend time with who he wants.
Valerie Baker no she didn’t, she was crowding him with both hands and probably laying on him with a bit too much pressure. She extended one hand and put her face in to kiss him when she said sorry.
I was scratched very badly at 4 yrs old because a kitty didn't know me when I picked him up. This was several decades ago. My Dad did NOT freak out but just explained that kitty was scared but expressed himself differently than people did. I still have the scars and a love of cats. Don't blame the cat if something happens....just learn from it and be a calm example to your kids. This family seems to be great!
A similar thing happened with my son and our cat, he just hugged the cat a little too hard and the cat didn't like it. We explained to my son that that's the cats way of saying he doesn't like something. My son and that cat were bfs for the next 8yrs. He would sleep in my sons room almost every night. Buddy passed away this fall and my son misses him dearly.
Yes, the parents did an outstanding job on teaching the *toddler* to respect a cat. Which I why I haven't blamed my dog for a thing shes done. She don't know any better, so why stress her out and slowly rip our bond, we've been growing for over 2 years, might I add.
Oh my gosh how she said sorry to the kitty when he scratched her was the most respectful and sweet thing I've ever seen, kudo's to the parents who are raising such a beautiful little girl.
When a child that young respects cats the credit goes to the parents. The number of videos I see kids abusing cats ( pulling tail, ears, picking up cat by their tail, pulling their fur ) the parents just stand, laugh while recording the whole thing...if the cat then retaliates in pain the cat is scolded at. Yes the kids are inquisitive and innocent but it’s up to the parents to show them n teach them the right way THIS IS THE BEST TODLER AND CAT LOVE. IVR SEEN IN MY WHOLE LIFE. Thank you for being the best parent and this girl is too cute.
Agreed. But the cat did his part too. They'll tell a kid when enough is enough.. but it works the other way around too. Grew up with a cat... We were joined at the hip. 💗
It also has to do with the breed. I must say, Orange Tabbies are some of the most chill, goofy, affectionate, adoring little cats out there. My cat Spike is definitely that way. He just wants belly rubs all day long. (':
@@MagaTrix439 Well of course if they went through something traumatizing there's gonna be some problems. You just gotta be patient, work through it, and show him that you love and care for him, just like you would a rescue dog. I rescued my Orange Tabby at a very young age so any hardships he went through were worked through more easily.
I totally agree there were dogs and birds in my parents a home from the time I was born. By the time I was in my early teens I turned our home into a mini zoo with strays and a donkey too!😂
I love that Sadie was introduced to the kittens at a young age. She's super gentle with them both and they clearly love her. Mom is clearly awesome too.
@@klarnorbert mine was as well. But we have a similar kinda story. We met when I was barely a year old and she was only 6 weeks old. I could do everything with her. Really everything.
I loved how gentle the child was with the cat. Kids do horrible things to cats without thinking and the parents don't teach them that the kitties can be hurt badly. Momma clearly taught her to be gentle and kind to her best friend and that's So amazing and beautiful 😍 💗
It makes me so angry when parents let their children squeeze and hurt their cats, pulling their tail and then blaming the cat when they scratch... but this little girl is so well educated, she knew she shouldn't squeeze the cats neck and she apologized, well done for the parents, she's an admirable and stunning little girl.. those things are what makes a kid grow up and be considerate and kind to others, when they are taught to respect other living beings from such a young age... :)
my small neighbour has a small brother and a cat, they always try to keep the cat away from him because he is very rough with it. I aprieciate them very much and my small neighbour is like my little sister :)
While I totally agree that it also makes me angry when parents let their kids do whatever they want to a cat (even whether or not the cat is blamed for lashing out), I didn't necessarily see it as that she knew WHAT she did was wrong, but I would bet she was taught that a cat has its own way of communicating if it's uncomfortable or needs space, such as a small bite or a swat of the paw. Of course, I could be wrong, and she may have been taught not to do exactly what she was doing, but based on her face when she first said "Ouch!" she kinda had that "what did I do?!" look of shock and a slight mad/sad combo in her eyes before she realized that he just gave her a little warning nib. Of course, I'm sure she realizes that hugging him like she did may have triggered his nib, but as I'm not a parent and 30 years old, I don't actually know what her thought process is and am just speculating! I know my neighbor had taught her kids that since cats don't speak, they used their body to get their messages across, and that if they get too close to the cat and it quickly bites or swats them once or twice, it is just saying it needs its space and just like a sibling, you apologize and listen to it. Luckily this never had to happen, but she then made it a point to explain that if the cat would lash out aggressively or repetitively attack them without provocation & without stopping, then that's an actual attack and to do whatever they could do in that situation to get away from the cat, get to mommy or daddy, or yell out for mommy/daddy.
The child's love to the cat is so pure. She's so gentle to her cat she even apologized when she thought she hurt him. Love really has no race, no species, no pride.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
My kid was all over the place and loud. When I adopted our male cat who was already an adult, he went to work right away on bonding with her. Turns out he loves kids and can sense when she's overwhelmed. She's 10 now and goes to him immediately if she's sad or upset.
The kid deserves as much praise as the cats - I rarely, and I do mean rarely, see kids even twice her age who know how to handle/treat/play/be around a cat. What a precious pair they are :)
My favorite part is the fact that she apologizes to the cat when it scratches her. She understands at such a young age that the cat is just letting her know boundaries and that’s so relieving! I say this because I know multiple *adults* who are like “my family’s cat scratched me :( it’s so evil!!” And I’m like... but it was your fault??
Once when my niece was a toddler walking around she was a little rough and bothering our cat so he swatted at her head. No claws but our cat was letting her know to back off. And my sister was like “omg that cat is so mean! He is hitting her!” As if he did it out of spite and I told her that he’s telling her to back off and we gotta start teaching her to be gentle with animals but she kept insisting that the cat is mean 🙄 lol
Not ALL cats are like that though. Mine was born with mental issues. Shes the equivalent to a person with bipolar disorder. I had to move from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom house, so she could have her own room, just to get her to calm down. VISCOUS and dangerous. Vet told me when she was 4 months old that I should think of putting her down because shed get worse and her claws and teeth would get bigger and shed seriously hurt me. I said NO. He told me, for her protection and mine, I needed to warn anyone that came into my house about her
@@hdeniro1106 No One gives two shits about your hatred for cats or your pathetic soul. And Life will put your ASS DOWN. Clearly it already has bc mommy and daddy taught you Nothing of respect and love!
@@lol42069. No, but it's also not overly common...depends on the care they get, any genetic/medical conditions, and them being indoor cats. Of all the cats we;ve had in the last 30 years -- including those 300+ in rescue -- the longest we had was 18.5 (lost him in June). He was indoors his entire life, and never showed any signs of anything wrong ever....until the last year when he started breaking down.
Most Americans have missed the experience of growing up on a family farm. We’ve become street smart to survive urban living, but lost our bond with animals and nature. The Dodo has helped rekindle my interest in bonding with animals. I read a lot.
I want to also have children with a pet but I don’t want the kitten scared of the baby if the baby pulls the ears, and the tail, and pets too hard. I want the cat and kid to be happy
We had a cat named Trouble, who chose my son as his human. When Trouble died at age 21, I actually called my son's high school guidance counselor in case Matt broke down in class.
That was such an awesome moment. I work for an animal shelter and never have I seen a child behave so well! You could see in her face when he scratched her that she felt confusion and a little anger. But she soon realized it was her bad and apologized rather then lashing out. That’s some great parenting y’all!
When I was three my parents adopted a kitten named Violet, and as I grew up she grew up with me. Violet was the perfect friend to have around, very mellow and loving. As I got older, she grew older with me and enjoyed spending time with me. I moved around a bit and she was a constant companion and friend. Violet was with me until I was seventeen and had chosen me as her person long before. I was lucky to spend those years with her, and decades later I consider her the best friend I ever had. Freddy looks like he's a great friend for his little human girl. Five Nights With this Freddy would just be a start of a lifetime of love!
When I was small we had a cat that was always around us kids when we had friends over. And we dressed the cat in doll-clothes and drove him around in doll-stroller in the apartment...our mom used to "rescue" him from us,carrying him to another room so he could rest...well,he jumped from her arms and run fast as the lightning back to us😊he loved beeing played with!!
I did the same with my cat when I was little. He was so sweet and loved me just as much as I loved him. Sadly he got hit by our neighbor and died when I was 8 yrs old. It broke my heart. But we still had his mom and she became my best friend and I had many happy yrs with her. I love all cats. This story is priceless 🥰
@JKM Official YT - I can’t even think about losing my cat bc of the devastation I’ll feel but I’d rather have loved and lost than to not know love at all😌♥️
I feel children who grow up with animals from a very young age, learn to grow up to be more accepting of other people irrespective of their race, beliefs, culture and don't disregard disabled people. Majority of them grow to be more kind and empathetic humans. A recent case study in one of the jails in India has allowed interaction of dogs with criminals who are convicted for disturbing crimes, has shown improvement in their mental health and were capable of positive emotions and behavior. The criminals showed patience, responsibility and care towards the animal.
Agree with you totally Queen B There has been many scientific studies that proven that children raised with animals around them have many qualities that make them better humans, as well as being kinder it has also proved that they are usually more intelligent too 🐱🐶
My parents introduced me to a cat when I was 5. I loved him for the 13 years we were together and miss him dearly now that he is gone. It’s truly a magical friendship!
I had a great bond with my old cat too. She was the kitten of a cat we got when I was 5 as a well. She lived to 19 but it was still not long enough for me. Also I spend many years in another country so I wasn't with her the whole 19 years. I do have a bond with my current cat but it's just not the same as she isn't so affectionate and will never sit on my lap.
As someone who also grew up with cats since the day I was born, it's absolutely beautiful and wonderful to see their bond flourish. My second cat passed away not too long ago, but I'll never forget the bond and love we shared - and neither will that little girl. Every single moment is worth it, amazing 🙏
Growing up with animals/pets has mold me to a better or at least compassionate person. I love that at an early age, kids like her are able to understand that love and respect is not only for humans.
Amazing friendship So good little girl respects kitty and kitty doesn’t bite or scratch her When children are brought up with animals and taught to respect them from an early age they can give so much to each other
I am so annoyed when adults around me are of the opinion that cats are evil & hurt you for no reason & yet this little girl understands that she was responsible for making the cat react that way. How amazing
I don't understand how some people can go their whole lifes without ever owning a pet. They just bring so much to your quality of life. Apparently people don't understand "Some People" doesn't mean all people. 😧
Not allowing by someone/ something, eg. strongly objected by parents, family member with severe allergies, living area with restrictions or rules, job occupying a whole day long, & etc. 😿
@@eppiechan5673 there are lot's of alternative pets than dogs or cats and there are many breeds that do well with people who have allergies. Once you're out of the house family rules don't matter. For 80 or 90+ years you're saying a person can't have atleast 1 pet in their life time? For 80 or 90+ years a job is weighing them down? Humans yearn for companionship even if your a loner you still like the company of another. Animals are therapeutic and fill us with the feel good chemical (don't remember the name). It's a big building block in a person's development as it's so interwoven in our evolution of being in nature and caring for livestock/animals.
On the bright side cats are living longer. When i first started working in the animal field 10 years ago, cats only had the life expectancy of 15. Now I know cats that are 20+ years and going strong. Who knows what it will be like in another 10
Freddy tries to stay with his favorite human by hiding under her crib at night. That means Freddy prefers the company of his human sister than his cat brother, Vito. Some cats are protective of children, and she is his precious little Angel. God bless them all.
When I was born my parents had two cats (mother and daughter) of something like 10 and 5 years old. The mother cat thought I was her kitten ♥️ I also remember very clearly one day I was annoying her and she scratched me. I went to my mom and she explained that if I annoy the cat, she will let me know, and that was normal she scratched me. I have always respected the boundaries ever since! (Admittedly not with my current cat because we like to annoy each other 😂)
I had a bond like this with our cat too. He was already 7 years old when I was born and it broke my heart when he died when I was a teenager. It has been 20 years and I still miss him so much 😢
I love how gentle the cats are with her... generally kittens aren't as good at keeping their needle-like claws to themselves, but they are so sweet and patient with Sadie!! 🐈😁
That bond with your first pet in childhood is such a powerful thing. This video was totally worth the toothache. Taking turns sliding into the ball pit?! I can't take it.
I grew up laying on a dog with a cat on top of me when I was a baby... animals as such strong, gentle, caring, inquisitive creatures they will go above and beyond to protect their own, as I would protect them no matter the cost.
Back when I was a preschooler, we adopted this kitten, Musya (mom basically bought her for like a few cents at the train station) and I used to give her rides in my baby stroller. I would put my pajamas there (she loved the texture) and she would snuggle and sleep while I drove her around. She now lives at my estranged grandma's place and I haven't seen her since my parents divorced. I have two new cats now, but gosh, I miss Musya. Growing up with a pet is something special. Bless this little girl and her kitten.
The parents are doing an AMAZING job with Sadie 🥺 The way she plays with Freddy isn’t rough or forced, and she knows and apologises when she accidentally crosses a line. Even if I don’t get the pleasure of seeing what their relationship blooms into, I’m sure Freddy will have had the best life with the most amazing family for him. What a patient fellow he’s so amazing ❤️
Ohmygod when she called Freddie her brother and best friend, that was so adorable and pure I’m gonna cryyyyy ;A; I was surprised it was a male cat. Idk I just figured the maternal instinct some female animals have makes it slightly easier to bond with little kids. Freddie is so patient and loves her so much ahhhh
I had a cat that I had a special bond with him when he was a stray. I was 11 years old to 23 years old. He was a very sweet and friendly cat. Even my family liked him, too. He was a friend towards our other cat, too. I was so lucky in meeting him when he was a stray.
How sweet and compassionate of those two kittens to claim and help raise that odd kitten with no tail or fur nor any claws and whiskers as one of their own.
Reminds me of my cat i got her when i was 1 year old she a few weeks in a horrible condition my mom nursed her and took care of her she was pretty evil my mom had to use towel and wrap the tiny kittne in to give her milk otherwise she would scretch my mom wildly open xD Sadly she passed away a few days after my birthday when i turned 16 and she was 15. We discovered she had cancer in her belly those were the saddest days of my life, and this vid reminds me so much of her.
My family used to have this cat named Patches, and she was really protective over me and my brother's cribs. She was a sassy, bitchy and a bit of a grumpy old cat. But she loved us, and we loved her back. There r alot of pictures of her in me and my brother's cribs just cuddling us and being like 'these r my kittens.' and our dog, sasha, did it too. She'd stand outside the cribs whilst Patches would be in them. They were a short haired calico and a black labrador with long hair. I miss them.
I wonder what the cat and the girl talk about at night... Girl: "want to play?" Cat: "want to go hunt mice?" "Also, you have any idea where your mum hides the catnip?"
When I was a baby my mother had a ferret who would only ever sneak out of his cage at night to go in my crib, he never bit me or scratched me, he just kinda chilled and played in my room when he had to much energy, unfortunately my doctor at the time thought it was too dangerous and that they should get rid of the ferret, my mom being a new mom and me being her first child was quick to agree and did as the doctor said and gave the ferret to a family friend... It's kinda sad now that I think about it 😔
