I have no idea why you separated them. But the effect is cool. You built a quite effective oxygenating system for fishes that were about to sufficate. I really like that.
I think he did that because in upcoming future if those fishes give birth to baby fries they might escape from those bigger fish to another section because they are smaller and can get eaten. But because they are small they can get through those small holes and cracks to safer side where they can grow safely.
@@cameronmayes3648 It can't continue like that because 90% of energy is lost with every consumption ;) For example: A fish with a wheight of 100g gets eaten. The fish that ate it will turn 10% of it's calories into it's own body (the rest is lost by swimming around, keeping the body alive and stuff like that...). Meaning only 10% of the original fish is left. Then the "second" fish gets a eaten, 90% is lost again and only 1 % of the original fish is left after only 2 consumptions... That's not a sustainable system :P For that you would need plants that turn the energy of sunlight into biomass. Then you need animals that eat those plants and then you need bigger animals (like fish) that consume the plant eaters. Only then you can have a sustainable ecosystem because the sun constantly supplies fresh energy for plant/algea growth ;) If the pond has too much fish (as in the video) there is no way you can keep them for a longer period of time unless you feed them!
is no one gonna mention the fact that the water kept running from that clay drum thing for so long. i'm not doubting or critiquing his amazing work but i wonder, was a hose involved behind the scenes? no hate though. the guy's a freak ( in a good way ).
