In the third episode of our rescue operations series, we follow the height rescue group of the Ulm fire department as they conduct a technical rescue training. The team is deployed to rescue a worker from the Erminger radio tower, who is situated on an outdoor platform 40 meters above the ground and is unable to walk.
To safely and efficiently lower the patient to the ground, the team sets up a Norwegian Reeve system on a tensioned highline using the REEVE carriage pulley.

One possible situation: the blue rope is cut below the lifeguard. Then the upper ASAP works. Then the rescuer falls down, while the working unit tends to move up the rope. since there is no rope at the bottom that blocks it. This is provided that the black rope is not fixed in the device, but even if it is, we see a large sagging of this rope. But even if this is the case, we get a problem with further transportation.

Second. Who tested this system for failure? If you take the worst option and the rope is damaged on the roller. Will ASAP have time to work? I see only 5 centimeters of working stroke

in my opinion, securing the rescuer and the victim directly to the transport roller, for example Grillon, is safer.
