Vibration broke it off - it'll do it again. You can't have that much mass outboard of the lightweight fitting. Use an angle fitting to get the mass closer to the engine, or put the hose direct on the engine and put the tee elsewhere.

Passed the “Hondaru” on i25 that day. Laughed to myself and said “one more Subaru down in Colorado”! Made me so happy. Neat to know it was the Hondaru.

Hondaru can’t break down, its not an actual Subaru no more!

The speed sensor is a hall sensor that produces pulses based on what it reads from the shaft. All speed sensors produce the same signal, difference being that the amount of pulses can change dramatically between different vehicles. If you didn't have hondata that converter is adjustable to dial it in. Great video guys, keep them coming!

I had an oil pressure tee break off the back of my B-series just from the engine vibration and Hasport mounts. I would say to run a small piece of braided line from the block to the Tee to isolate it from vibration. Should keep it from loosening in the future. Also, that's badass that the STI Tach and speedo work with the Hondata without any modifications!

Get rid of that configuration with the tee screwed into the block and a sensor hanging off of it. It will crack again. Its the harmonics of the engine vibrations combined with the mass of the sensor hanging off causing the fitting to crack. Unfortunately I have made this mistake before.

Engine will spike on the temp gauge if there's no oil pretty quickly too. Glad to see her go down the road. There's an excuse to go get that new pretty manifold bolted on. Nice rescue of the Hondaru....Wago's looking swago.

For the coolant temp guage, check to make sure it is earthed. I had this issue after my engine swap. I just made an earth wire and ran it directly from the back of the cluster and problem solved. You might need to add some resistors to the sensor input wire into the gauge if it reads off the scale. Just warm the car up to operating temp and add resistors until it reads where you would expect it. You will need to get a couple of different ohms ratings. I used this idea to adapt an aftermarket gauge to the my factory sensor

I had the same problem with my beer lines on my keg you have to be really careful with how tight you go with flare fittings.

I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT FITTING WHEN YOU DID IT!!! You need to run a line straight off the block then up to a T where it isn't hanging all that weight off of a weak point

That fitting is also supporting all the weight from the sensor and line, may not seem like much but that coupled with vibration will break it.

Well damn, 23 psi for the 10 second 1/4 mile. Sounds like new tires will have it happen

I guess I will never understand why people do these swaps and do not hook up power steering. You only have to have 1 hose made with right ends on it. Probably 40 bucks tops. Return hose is just regular 3/8 hose.

Another fun thing! GEN 3 LS engines have the same tach signal as a 13b. Rx7s were meant to be ls swapped.

With hondata is there an automatic afr adjustment when there's a change of altitude or is it fixed like a carb where you gotta adjust all the time

FYI speedometers in a lot of cars show for example 40 when you are actually at 38/39. I don't remember the reasoning behind this but It looks like yours is correct as it should be. When I put cruise to 50kph on my scania at work the speedometer needle is a little above 50.

I'd make a bracket to support those fittings. vibration did most of the job of breaking those fittings. or run another braided line off of the block and relocate that tee and sensor somewhere else or it will break off again.

What up guys something similar happened to my b16 but RIP . I later put a hose from the block to the T mounted to the body. In order to removed the T with all that weight hanging off the engine
