There are new concerns about the spread of misinformation on TikTok ahead of the midterm elections. Researchers found the average U.S. user spends three times as much time on the app than on Twitter, and twice as long on TikTok as Instagram or Facebook. Globally, TikTok accounts have been used to spread misinformation ahead of elections in Europe, Asia, and South America. Tiffany Hsu, technology and disinformation reporter for the New York Times, breaks down what makes TikTok particularly problematic.

A company named "Teleperformance" is making TikTok content moderation in Tunisia , and who work there are getting paid 0.75$ an hour. More than 1000 people working 24/7 to moderate tiktok videos for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. I don't know when this modern slavery gonna end

Our lived environment is filled with loud cars and loud people. Most Americans refuse to admit the impact of noise on health and Reagan defunded the EPA Office of Noise Control despite an abundance of research showing that noise raises blood pressure and increases stress, thereby worsening health. TLDR: Noise is why you can't sleep or concentrate and we need quiet as a norm for all, we are wired for quiet, quiet should not be a luxury for the rich. TikTok and shortform social media appeal to those with short attention spans and who live in noisy hellscapes with no privacy. The rent is too damn high and as long as people are crammed into loud dystopic urban hellscapes where they can't sleep or concentrate, misinformation will prevail (especially when our educational system is deliberately underfunded and critical thinking, information literacy, and civics aren't taught). We should all be vigilant.

Not true, huh? If someone has not found it and dropped a neon sign on top of it, biblical skeptics are likely to claim that it does not exist. This is the case with numerous biblical cites and locations, including the Pool of Siloam. "Respecting diverse views is essential. People of all ages can navigate information critically. Let's appreciate each other's perspectives and foster understanding in our conversations."
