If you're a collector, you have to resell. Its the dudes who did it as main hustle that jacked it up. alot of the time after fees, taxes, time and shipping most are just breaking even. it's part of collecting and just having fun. but not meant to pay the bills.

@@tony4534 to each their own. And i guess it depends on your funds and space. But imo. there is a line you cross when you go from collector to hoarder. For me. Putting stuff in storage, and calling yourself a collector is just silly. And not everything goes into PC. some stuff may not do it for you and perhaps then you can trade it, sell it. gift it , wear it . some stuff you want to keep , landed first trick in these ... kissed first girl in these or whatever. those are staying. most of time we are just making room for new stuff . imo once something falls out of sight . out of mind. perhaps time to think of letting it go. Most of time if i sell something, the money is reinvested back into the collection anyways.

In a market like this is where if you are serious about reselling and not selling to other resellers you can make it into a successful business. I myself sell on consignment and make about a 30-40% return on each shoe. Finding the correct store with the foot traffic is key. Not every store can sell at a high price and volume.

That can play a role too Let’s say they only make 200,000 or less cement 4 OGs and don’t do any restocks…that pair will definitely resell for more versus if Nike makes 1 million pairs like the military blue 4s which always said if Nike made less pairs of those everybody would talk about them every day

Brad Hall used to post😂 Now resell and sneakers are down... its been a year since he posted. Some people only came here because they saw it trending. Ive been buying shoes and keeping em. My collection dont lie. You look behind this guy. All shoes from the last 6 years. That KILLED the game. Too much Nike/Jordan bias. The game will be crazy the next wave cause diversity and how its actually being worn will matter.

During pandemic it was a bubble and it popped. Consumer spending is at all time low just wait when credit defaults start happening. Eventually in 2 years market will start increasing once they start printing more cash!

I ran a very large warehouse. My guys were always on about their "kicks." One guy knew the name of every manager of every shoe store in our city of 90 thousand. It was insane. $500 shoes were COMMON.

im a mens size 8 / 8.5 so im honestly glad resell is dead for the most part in my size i like being able to buy sneakers without paying ridicolous prices

Nike is not doing better. Nike saw declines in direct revenue this year.Look at their financial results. That is why their stock plummeted 31% in the first half of this year.

Let me share with you the real reason why the resell market is dead. The Fed raised the interest rates from 0% to 4% plus, in order to conbat inflation. That made borrowing capital expensive and also incentives leaving your money in interest bearing savings accounts instead of flipping sneakers in order to not lose money due to inflation when interest rates were at 0%. This is why resell was a thing even before the Pandemic, which affected the supply and demand balance, thereby pushing resell prices through the roof. So PRO-TIP: If interest rates ever go back to 0... then start buying up sneakers because resell will come back with a bang!
