Also as a white person, I want to see most of congress represented by Native Americans because in general they care a lot more about the land and the community, and tend to think in generations about their impact and about sustainability in general.

Look and Chickasaw Government And Look At How They Blossomed! Worlds Largest Casino And Hundreds of Programs To Care For And Educate The Tribe And Children. Only Reason People Believe Native Governments Are Poor Are Because They Are Not Informed On The True History. My people were slaughtered through pure genocide. North America WAS packed full of people like it is now. They were murdered by the current sovereign government. Consistently pushing them into smaller and smaller territory. Constantly breaking promises of food medicine and ammunition. Tricking my people over and over again. Not only creating IRS to demographically attack my people. But B.I.A. didn't have our people's best interest in mind either. Just wanted My people to blend in to the new world and assimilate. I am almost 30 years of age and I am a direct decedent from the savages portrayed on TV. These times were less than a hundred years ago people. Kill 200 million people and ask the remnants to recover in 200 years. Ridiculous. But it is the government that doesn't teach what they did to my people so I do not blame white people. ONLY IGNORANT. My people were not arrogant and did not fight at the first wrong word. But instead come together unite and understand what needs to be done. My people never wanted violence. So instead they chose peace and you have the five civilized tribes. They reside in Oklahoma. The rest are all around North America on reservations and some either do not know what "the real world is like" or are terrified of it. As they should be. I walk amongst people without spirit Everyday. It is Truly a sad sight to behold. Watching someone wallow in misery and depression. There is a reason on the Trail of Tears my People sang the whole way. Just like African Americans in the slave days on the railways. Because Satan CAN'T HAVE OUR SPIRIT! 🙏💯❤️

@@dakotapalmer6506 Thanks for writing some truth down. Thanks for not blaming white people too. Blame it on the satan. Thats what is going on here. Even looking at Europe a similar thing happened there like a plague of evil sweeping the globe. There was even white slaves too but we never hear much about that. Chinese as well building the railroads. It seems like there was something special going on in the Americas. Like the people had already made the mistakes and learned to live in relative peace and harmony with creation. Hopefully we can see a change back to some better ways. With the condition of our planet we really need a revival of true wisdom and respect to all creation. As a white person though I got to say there are some very ignorant and stubborn white people. I think they have been victims of generational trauma for thousands of years, they might need the most time to recover

*“ It’s a good day to be indigenous”* Never been more proud to be indigenous with shows finally showing us on mainstream media, and with Avatar actually casting Indigenous youth as the characters who’s culture is inspired by the Inuit/indigenous people, it’s giving me more hope for us finally having the representation on screen that we deserve and can proudly show our kids That being said don’t show little ones Reservations Dogs😂😂

Here's something interesting: look at the similarities between the the order of the midstreamers from the show and the real world bohemian grove. Remember back when Willie Jack was hunting with her dad and he said his grandfather sold the land they were hunting on? It's interesting that he doesn't go into detail - it's like he doesn't really know why the land was "sold," only that it was sold. That's the same land where you see the midstreamers literally ****ing the earth (in the form of catfish carcasses) in front of the owl statue. Bohemian Grove (in CA) became owned by rich white people through a series of shady "sales" and forced land cessions. It has since been a place where rich, powerful people (like Ronald Regan, for example) go to party and participate in really strange rituals, many of which take place in front of a 40 foot owl statue (not even kidding, man). So, to me, this narrative in the show sort of plays with these notions of land being taken (sometimes through forced sales) from Indigenous people so that rich powerful settlers can do weird stuff with it. I suspect many Native Americans will get a different feeling and will recall certain bits of knowledge handed down to them by their elders or lost knowledge recently rediscovered - knowledge that members of dominant society don't necessarily have or wouldn't think to look for. It's like there is a conversation / acknowledgment being passed between the writers and Indigenous audiences... but there's also this sort of invitation to settler audiences, like: "here's a thread of information... follow it and see what you can learn."

Loved your guys video. As a middle aged white guy who grew up in AZ small town, with Yavapai Apache and working construction all over AZ with Dine and Hopi, I laughed so hard. So many references that made me laugh and reminded me of home. The owl reference reminded of a time we were working up by Window Rock. My boss had told some of the guys who were working with us, three young brothers, to go grab his truck and run to the yard and grab some material. We kept working and realized that about five minutes had passed and they were still sitting in the truck arguing about something. Finally, one of them comes over and we are like, WTF. My boss had this stupid fake snake skin steering wheel cover and none of them wanted to touch it, and were sitting there arguing over who was going to drive the truck. Funniest joke ever told to me by a Navajo. "How come we don't let white people rain dance?" "Why?' "Because when they do, it snows."

This is the best show I've seen since breaking bad. It's definitely the best show of its genre by far. They do such a good job of expressing life on the rez. Giving authentic voice to the hopes, dreams and absurdities of some of it without collapsing into cliche depictions or tacky representation unless done for comedic effect. My favorite character is the spirt warrior. He represents this shows take perfectly. He's simultaneously a legit representation of the inner monologue/concerns of a young native boy and masterful exercise in trolling the idiocy some Americans/Canadians have when they think of native culture. I can't recommend this show to people enough. It deserves to sweep up award after award without a doubt. Best show, best writing, best acting, best costumes, best set locations etc. Concerning those who are not already established actors. I hope this show ends up being like ER or In Living Color and helps launch the careers of everyone involved. They deserve it.
