Thanks for this. Got a second hand laptop from a pawn shop for a super cheap price because it had a bios password block. Probably saved a good deal of money just because the pawn shop people didn't know how to get around it and didn't think to search online.

So helpful... Remember to type the entire contents of the code between the [ ]. My code started with an 'i' and a space before the number. That was the key to my success.

Mike.... (rant incoming). As someone who regularly browses RU-vid for technology content I am constantly barraged by different tech channels that I normally don't frequent. Yes it's just the RU-vid algorithm doing it's thing, but I'm disgusted by the trash out there. With all due respect to any other help I've received off of RU-vid throughout the years most of which being insight and tips or tricks regarding automotive stuff. While appreciated it doesn't fit the category of "life saver" which for me is what yours definitely does. I somehow spaced the admin bios pw and was about to try and short the NV that the bios lives on. Some laptops like my hp probook just lock bios after invalid password attemps without any message displayed. Following this video I locked my bios by myself and now will need to bring the laptop to service

I have 2016 Omen pc, even after giving invalid key three time, it asked for spareKey(which I don't have) no code was provided. I powered off the pc and it turned on in normal manner so back to square one. I wanted to turn on virtualization in bios

There was 1code on this sight that worked but now how do I proceed cuz it unlocked my computer but it went to the full boot w.o my doing anything after hitting enter and I am clueless to what I gotta do now cuz I haven't turned it off yet either and don't want to make a mistake that can't be undone w.o a disc I don't have a disk for it anymore

Hi, I'm trying to reset the BIOS password on a HP Probook 5320m. After powering on the device and attempting to enter in the password incorrectly 3 times, on the third try it goes to a screen containing an on screen keyboard, when i hit escape to exit this screen it displays the message: "Authentication Failed, System Locked, Press the power button to restart the system."(Each message is on a different line) and return no error code, this laptop is from around 2010 and im hoping to use it as a very basic and not very powerfull linux server. Upon completion of the installation of the different linux distro (i've tried multiple) and rebooting the system it returns the error "non system disk or disk error" i've tried multiple hard drives including the one i belive to be original to the system and nothing changes, some articles that ive read online suggested making sure the boot order is correct in the bios but i can only choose a boot device when the computer starts and not get into the bios because it's locked. I will be trying bootable USB system repair solutions, If you see this message and have any advice i would greatly appreciate it and if you don't end up seeing this message i hope you know how usefull your video is even though it didn't resolve my issue it may help me in future situations.
