RESIDENT EVIL 1 Remake Gameplay Trailer 4K (Unreal Engine 5) 

This is a fan remake that is being developed by Team Arklay's in Unreal Engine 5. The team plans to make this remake as faithful as possible to the original but with improved graphical fidelity thanks to Unreal Engine 5. You'll have the option to play the game with a fixed camera like the original or for the first time ever you'll also be given the option to play the game over the shoulder. The remake as of yet, does not have a release date. One of the developers is also hosting a 24/7 livestream showcasing every Resident Evil game. For a fan project, that's actually quite impressive. I almost thought this was an official remake that capcom was making. It's crazy that fans can make something like this and it almost seems official.

For a fan remake, this is incredibly impressive. I'm really surprised Capcom doesn't just go ahead and remake the original Resident Evil like this. I'm sure people would buy it in a heart beat.

This is one of the franchise’s most iconic games. Arguably even more so than Resident Evil 4, yet that has a remake and this one doesn’t? Makes zero sense. We need this to be official.

In fact, I think Resident Evil 2 Remake should be tied together with Resident Evil 3 Remake just like Resident Evil 1 Remake. The remake of Resident Evil 2 is the same as the remake of Resident Evil 3, but too many classic scenes have been deleted.

And some people are against this being remade.

If Capcom remade this they will give old school fans an option to have fixed camera angles. Since Village can be turned into 3rd person. This will be the scariest RE since RE 2 Remake if it were remade again.

It says in the fine print, not the finished product the whole, running away from the dog scene the lights looked a little wonky, but once you got inside the mansion honestly it looked awesome and what a little bit of cleaning up here and there it’s amazing - this is got to be the cleanest fan made stuff I’ve ever seen

Over the shoulder looks perfect tbh. It’s claustrophobic and still looks like a challenge Honestly I think making the intro playable would be a great experience. Similar to the last of us where you navigate past some scripted events to understand the danger and learn how to crouch, run, etc.

I have a Resident Evil idea I would like to pitch to Capcom... You know how the prototype version of Resident Evil 2 that being 1.5 has received a massive fanbase amongst Resident Evil fans over the years? And many gamers have done modifications to that game despite the fact it was never actually released except for in Japan with the demo version? Of course the game did get leaked to the public in 2013 and gamers, Resident Evil fans and modders have going out of their way to recreating the game by working and fixing some of the bugs and patches and whatnot is still ongoing, with various patches being released... Anyhow, obviously the Elza Walker character got reworked on and transitioned into Claire Redfield but what if Capcom could capitalize on the Elza Walker characters since she has such a cult following and actually make her part of the franchise and keep her original story. If you're familiar with 1.5 which I'm sure you are is that Elza Walker who's already a resident of raccoon City arrives to discover that raccoon City in its entirety is now the sight of a zombie apocalypse and you know how she crashed into the RPD police station? Well keep that original idea but have it to where the police station that she crashes into what was going to be a newly developed police station for the RPD. And the zombies that she encounters in what is supposed to be newly developed police station are police officers, security guards, and construction workers turned into zombies due to the T-virus outbreak. And... While she's there she also discovers that at that newly developed police station that that's where Billy Cohen from Resident Evil 0 was being held prisoner. Say he eventually got apprehended by the RPD and Chief Irons ordered him to be held prisoner at the new police station and that would explain why it's heavily guarded with police and security. Not only that, but Rebecca Chambers herself disappeared after the events of Resident Evil 0 & 1. So perhaps to play it safe you could say Chief Irons could have issued an arrest warrant for Rebecca Chambers because she knew too much. Like the other stars members. So she too is being held prisoner at the newly developed police station along with Billy Cohen. Because nobody knows what happened to either one of them during the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3 and 4 and Code Veronica for that matter. And a reference that they can put into this game could be the fact that the police station itself is not 100% completed. Much like the prototype version of Resident Evil 2 that being 1.5 Yes, it's already been announced that Capcom is working on a ReRe remake for the 30th anniversary of the original resident evil.. like 20 years ago in 2016 they released an HD version of zero and the 2002 remake which was exclusive to the GameCube. Only this time it's going to have enhanced graphics with the re game engine that being third person over the shoulder. And yes code Veronica is definitely a must that deserves a remake Capcom keeps going back and forth with whether or not if they're going to remake that one or not because they haven't made up their mind. Hell maybe they can even bring back that scrapped Man spider b o w that you fight in the underground lab in 1.5

Wow, this is amazing! Well done, this looks like a very promising game. The only contention I have is that the model animations in places look a bit stiff (like Jill walking around). But other than that, this remake really looks like a high quality, enjoyable and nostalgic game!

i just dislike zombies animations, jill is flying and moving none realistic, the shaking while on stairs not realistic stairs moving .. same problem with "ecos of living " they have great graphic environment but bad animation and control

could you change the gameplay to make it more like the one from resident evil 2, 3 and 4 remake cuz as for what you have shown, more than a remake it looks like a texture and graphics pack for the remastered versions of that remake for the gamecube, and i say this being 100% honest, if this is what the final product would be with tank controls and static camera, i may well just play that remastered version of that gamecube remake that includes also resident evil 0 and ditch this

As a Resident Evil fan and more particulary for the very first ones on PS1, I say no to this "Remake", for the simple reason, too close of the Remake "Rebirth" so there's no point for me for that kind of remake.
