I love how all of the characters (Leon, Claire, Sherly, and Jill) never interact with each other directly but they all are within the same city during the same event. I absolutely love that.

Leon, Sherry, and Claire all interact directly with eachother, they actually ride out of the city together on a train. It’s only Leon and Jill who never meet in the city despite running into some of the same people. Hunk too.

@@yuch1102 because the sentiment, if worded a little inaccurately, is right. One of the smallish details that make RE so good, to me, is that all these people have these distinct but related storylines going on in the same city. Makes the city feel bigger, and it's always been a pet peeve of mine that this cast of like 15 characters from all these demographics just happen to end up together.

This video should be a mandatory watch before the "Welcome to the Raccoon City" movie. It explains sooo much of what's happened in the movie. Superb job Harry! I love this series, especially that you often cover the games that I wish I had time to play, but for the actual storyline not necessarily the gameplay!

@@shepherdrm8486 Lots of games to play mate. Less time. I for example. Work about 40-50 hrs a week, relationship, and a dog. However, I also volunteer, am in a mens hockey league, soccer league, and volleyball. Add in dates, hangouts, and reading occassionally. And its hard for me to get to everything. Especially when games take 100+ hours nowadays to do everything like rdr2 or elden ring.

Okay now it's starting to make sense why Resident Evil 3 remake is so short. It's a DLC that is a full-length game that takes place in sequence with the events of Resident Evil 2 remake.

The original Resi 3 was meant to have been the game that became known as Resident Evil Code Veronica X on the Sega Dreamcast and Resi 3 Nemesis was meant to have been a side story game. However Sony struck a deal to have all numbered sequels to be exclusive to Sony platforms and as such what was originally the side project became the sequel. This is why Resi 3 Nemesis uses a lot of the same assets and locations as it wasnt supposed to be a numbered sequel. This is also why Code Veronica is such a good game as it had so much already put into it before it became a side project. It's good however that this happened as Nemesis ended up becoming iconic.

For the story to make sense it had to be Claire B Leon A but some things have to change to make them both work like Leon Gets to the Station before claire but Claire is able to get the parking garage before leon and she's always ahead of him they claire meets Annette before Leon leon passes out also giving Claire more time to find Sherry and take her to Nest before Leon finds Ada... that's how Claire is able to get to the Cure before Leon gets to the G virus also Annette didn't die in the security Lab with claire & Sherry but was able to get up and Shoot Ada having her fall claire gets to tbe train and fights g before Leon fights the tyrant... and they meet on the train again it's not perfect but I think it makes more sense

One thing you got slightly wrong is that Birkin didn't kill all of the Team to retrieve the virus from him. We know that Hunk survived.

He also was mistaken on how the t-virus infected the city. It was spread to the water supply by rats after William Birkin broke some vials of the virus in the sewers.

the franchise sure has had some legs I will say that. The original was a darn good game but I can say id never have expected it to spawn as many games or films as it did back then in the 90s. Even if not all were close to the quality of the original trilogy on the Playstation.

I hate that they changed so much in the RE2 remake and didn’t use the cannon version of Leon and Ada’s final interaction in scenario B. It makes more sense that she could have survived as she wasn’t shot by Annette to then fall of the ledge but was rather slammed by tyrant (which in turn started the self destruct sequence of the lab)

u know given how everything else infected with the G virus reacts to damage over time... it makes more sense that birkins mutation went haywire because he was shot multiple times as he was infected putting the virus into overdrive.

Only now playing these two games back to back. I didn’t realise until after playing 3 that these two games basically don’t cross over at all. The only connection these two games have is the citywide outbreak. Resi 3 is a continuation of the story from 1 which deals with the T Virus while Resi 2 deals with the G Virus while surviving the effects of the T Virus. These two plots basically have nothing to do with one another despite happening around the same time. These two groups deal with their own separate virus while not effecting the others story in anyway.

Ya know tbh, its probably a good thing Leon and Claire came to RC later, because of how severe the intitial outbreak was, i honestly dont think they wouldve survived, not with Nemesis running around. They got off easy compared to Jill and Carlos

As i understand it, the T-Virus is spread to the water supply by rats after William Birkin kills HUNK's team, breaking some containers that had the T-Virus in them. I don't know where you got your origin for the outbreak, but mine comes from RE2 OG cutscenes (Claire and Annette outright state this) as well as the Resident Evil wiki.

Yes RESIDENT EVIL OUTBREAK should be between Resident evil 0 and 1 with a new Kevin.Ryman and Marvin.Branagh and Alpha S.T.A.R.S members also the J's Bar cut scene and a scene before this where a crime has incurred in Raccoon Forest and then they should create after this as carrying on

I wish there was an open world game from civilian perspective that you play and explore bigger part of Raccoon City, I know RE Outbreak was kind of this I never played it back then, but maybe remake of it would be great. RE3R was disappointing so short in city section, Hospital was good part.
