My big brothers were playing this game when I was 5 years old and I was watching them. Thanks to this game I was afraid of staying alone at home until 11 years old.
This game was truly cinematic, the awe you feel when Mr.X bursts out of the lava in his even more freakish form (he always was my favorite Tyrant), the music that plays when Burken drags his massive body into the train. It's just great.
Resident Evil 2 best of all time !! Amazing soundtrack. I love weapons in RE2 especially shotgun with parts. The awesome thing is how Leon goes back about 2 meters after shot with his shotgun! That's really awesome!!
Back in the 90s when I was a kid my dad had copied a walkthrough from a gaming magazine called Superpower in our local library. There was no strategy guide for Mr. X fight. The magazine gave me a one little instruction: "Mr. X attacks." So I tried to kill him with a magnum and suddenly I saw Ada throwing me something. The moment I pointed the barrel at Mr. X and heard Leon saying "Game Over" I knew Mr. X was done. BOOOOM! Now how cool is that for a 11-year-old-kid to see the end boss blowing up into pieces!
Omg omg, I played this game in 1998 on the PC. I did it on Leon a/Claire b and vice versa but never completed Leon b because I could not dispatch that creature you call Mr. X:) My god I watched the pre rendered cutscene and suddenly theres an explosion...the game is not over yet...that scared me alot now and scared me to death when I was a little kid back then haha
i dont know why but ive always loved that 5 second scene after mr x in tyrant form jumps onto the floor and that music plays in the background xD. it hardly lasts any time at all but i still love rewatching it :P
u no i was 7 when i first played this level and when he jumped out of that lava and that epic ass music came on i seriously was frozen still with the controller still in hand
What I miss about the old RE games is those creepy warning the game would say when you came back to it "you stepped into the world of survival horror good luck"
Leon: "Claire, what's happen-" Claire: "Not now!" Leon: "Well excuuuuuuse me, princess!" I've always thought Claire shutting-up Leon was hilarious. I was never able to do the Mr. X fight without taking damage.
no, when you go through the warehouse part with ada, its where theres zombies in the corridor and there are 2 ways to go, one side has a ladder and the other has green herbs, i think the parts are on some dead guy around there, theyre just custom parts for the remmy
yea the brown ones in the library, the yellow ones in the interigation room, and the blue pieces are in the statues chest and in the dust shaft where you use the crank
i know 7 seems kind of young, but my dad played it too so i kinda started liking b/c my dad played and i used to watch him, i used to have nightmares of this game when i was young but i beat it so many times, i know exactlt where everything is lol
"All employers proceed to the bottom platform. Repeat: all employers proceed to the bottom platform. Repeat: all employers proceed to the bottom platform."
My big bro played this on the dreamcast when I was little all I remember is that voice saying all employees proceed to the bottom platform lol and we was like how the fuck are we supposed to know where that is at ahh good times
@ColinEmerald That is so true hahahaha. I always thought it was funny how Claire never lets Leon finish a single sentence. You can feel the poor guy's frustration increase as the game continues.
i know what you mean man, i remember playing re2 scared to death from that first licker, and jumping from my chair at night when a RE3 zombie comes out from a cars in the street or when every time you see nemesis you register only one thing "Jesus! run!!" and in re4 when you see a monster one building tall you think "let's dance, big boy" lol...its cool...but i miss the old ones' style
God I forgot this game had the health spray in it. I used to play this without ever using it and sticking with herbs seeing as it was the only way to get an A grade. Which would help you earn all the weapons of course.
*Leon Against a Regenerator* Ada: Here, take this *Leon picks it up and points it a the Regenerator* Leon: Game over! *shoots it* *Regenator starts reforming* Leon: WTF!?!
If you think about it, Umbrella probably uses that train to transport stuff they don't want the world to know about prematurely. If something bad goes down, they can detonate the train to cover their tracks. But the G-Virus turns William into a tentacle rape monster? That's kinda weird.
@deathangel119 yes but re2 and re3 aren't happening at the same time, when jill was in the city, claire and leon weren't there yet, when she got infected by nemesis, claire and leon had just arrived and when she recovers claire and leon have got on the train and left.
@TheXxgecko You finish one disc first and save your game, then you play the other disc. You can also chose the order of the discs, so there are 2 different ways to go through the game. Personally i think Claire Disc first, then Leon Disc is the best story. Its the same scenario as in this video.
not sure something about the laboratory, it doesn't have her saying "Repeat.. All employees proceed to the bottom platform" so it doesn't have the same effect :( lol
the B scenario is more fun, reveals the whole story, if you do well enough you can unlock 4th survivor, and it reveals where brad vickers zobmie is located and how to get to him
okay, I have a request. (resident evil 4) I havn't made it this far in the game but I've seen clips. beet the plant thing that eats (or absorbs or something) Salazar. (if you don't fight it then forget this request and sorry for wasting your time.)
Its for the Wii console its called Resident evil Darkside Chronicles it fetures Resident evil 2 and Code Veronica its almost like Resident evil Umbrella Chronicles But with imporved quality and camera angles Its coming this year like sometime in Novemebr-DEcember
RE6 still continues the scares and suspense (at least in Leon's quest anyways). Sure, RE5 wasn't scary at all, but part of it is because we're getting older and have gotten used to it.
I have this game for Playstation and i never got to this part? Ive played it million of times but never made it to this part?! I would end up with that one redish room waiting for the elvator and i had to kill william but never Mr X. In order to get to this part do i have to play the Clare disc or Leon Disc?
Here are the differences. 1st Boss you face in part A you don't in part B. 1st Boss in Part B is William Birkin weilding a Pipe. Then it depends. If you killed the Crocodile in Part A, it doesn't appear in Part B. Plus you also have a Tyrant that follows you around in Part B. Last but one Boss fight in Part B is with the Tyrant and the last Boss fight is on the Train with William Birkin's mutated G-Virus creature.
well ill look into if you want, nothing wrong with a request, i guess i could do a fight or something, ill just have to do my homework (not school homework because its summer vacation woot!) lol
