Resident Evil 2 Remake's release date is just around the corner. In the meantime scare yourself silly with this tense new PS4 gameplay featuring the Tyrant.
@@-Trauma. Even if I'm the world famous Chris "biceps for days" Redfield, I would run as fast as I can to give myself a better distance to the zombies. 😂😂😂
just like nemesis (but N is more scarier and "STARS")Mr x is more gentle and just walking...maybe they are trying to say RE 3 remake is going to happen
That was me when I encountered the first zombie on the first resident evil back on the ps1. I was a kid then Lol that zombie scared the crap outta me I litterally turned off the console as soon as I saw its face
You know what is more terriftying is than the Tyrant? Hearing the same footsteps and then STAAAAAARS from nemesis as he follows you and jumps out a window or go through a wall, so many nightmares when i was little....
Kyle Fox Thanks bro, I think I will. I love RE, and there's nothing better than experiencing good survival horror moments for the first time..Rather than have some RU-vidr gameplay vid show me exactly what's about to happen in a scenario or sequence. I will NEVER forget when I first played RE2 and Mr. X busted through that wall on the way back to the lobby of the police station. If it wasn't survival horror, I probably wouldn't care.
Broooo you don’t even get it this is hilarious! I was going to make a gameplay on this and one of the jokes I was gonna make was mr. x looks like nick valentine on a cheat day
challenge ?? she could kill everything in her way, i dont see any challenge, in this game you cant be afraid of Die like 1998, the game have good details but lose something but i understand its a new perspective but for me its unsatisfaction
KibaElric This is more intense since the camera angle can be used as an advantage during the original RE2, Tyrant was pretty slow, same concept of saving your bullets from RE1-3, and remembering the doors being your friend and the typewriter? Yeah now it ain’t.
Ascendaeus yeah it does feel like capcom is really taking next years games huh? If re 2 and DMC 5 really kick ass like I hope they can, they will take one game of the year I feel like.
Old Resident Evil weren't scary at all: lots of lighting, no scary sounds just action and good story. Anyway I am really happy about this "Silent Hill" atmosphere.
I’m glad he’s got those big ole stomping boots on to let you know he’s a coming....... also I love that they gave him a hat, he’s fashionably scary lol
@@terry85mar In other clips it takes much longer for the grenade to go off. So it's just a coincidence that this one goes off early with the tyrant swinging towards it? It was the tyrants swing that set off the stun grenade.
As amazing as this was, the fact that I still jumped when she fell through the floor in the library just as I did when the game first came out = instant buy for me.
The random zombies jumping at her at corner or behind doors are also very good, I jumped a couple of times because of them. The ambience in this game is terrifying, probably better than Alien Isolation, I can't wait to explore.
ya i had no problem playing the RE1 remake on the gamecube but this........ i’m just gonna use the “im too old for video games” bs lie and hide my console for a while
Why would Dead Space ever need a remake? It should get remastered with more polished textures, improved lighting and higher framerate. A Switch port would be nice too so we can shit bricks on the go.
Oh God no! I just hope they don't remake Nemesis! That's all I need is to hear the ominous creepy music prior to when it chases you down, combine that with the ominous heavy footsteps, the growling followed by "STARS!!", and it will put me on edge for as long as I draw breath on this earthly plane.
wait there is no music at all in the game =( I miss those haunting tunes that were in the old re2.....going to sound hollow and empty gonna have to fire up the old tunes in the background???? ughh was so excited for this game too
They needed a good kick in the ass and resident evil 7 proved they still have the talent. Good to see the days of resident evil 6, wannabe action movie are gone.
@@johnkisaragi5920 Two words, vehicle sections. I admit I liked the games though, but just because the gunplay was good and it at least had zombies in it and some of the best characters, it is fun on coop too.
@@johnkisaragi5920 Can you tell about Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5,are they some good and worth buying? (I haven't played any RE game but want to play some)
@Michael Keefe the good news is that super tyrant will only appears for the final fight... hopefully because if he starts chasing us... well he can run
Expecting Game Journalists to play on Hard (if it isn't an unpaused live stream, it's a lie). . . Stupid. They might start a vid showing them highlighting the Hard option, but it's laughable. Some folks have no idea the inner workings of professional video editing... plus, for some reason beyond the grasp of the layman, I'm certain that a Media Package never displays the possibility of actually trying...
@@budoshi-f2l By the looks of things, zombies are way more resilient than in the original. Shooting the legs to make them fall down and easier to avoid is probably not that bad an idea.
I actually think that, in a "creepy horror" aspect, Mr. X is scarier than Nemesis *because* of the silence, the simple footsteps, the more human appearance, and whatnot. Nemesis is scary in a more "action horror" style because of his monstrous appearance, the "S.T.A.R.S.!" yelling, the use of weapons and such.
@HalfDemonInuyasha Another way of looking at it is that I would respectively liken the traditional Tyrants (like T-002, Mr. X, and Thanatos) and Nemesis to a Tyrannosaurus Rex and Indominus Rex in the Jurassic Park franchise... The Nemesis/Indominus is clearly a more dangerous enhancement over the predecessor, with a lot more bells and whistles, that is also more relentless, bombastic, and difficult to outsmart. Those two monsters are both really cool in their own right, in my opinion. However, the T-Rex/Tyrant has been in the franchise since the very beginning and made itself as iconic as the raptors/zombies, when it comes to being a recurring creature. Plus, I really like the simplicity of the regular Tyrants, who are just grotesque hulking humanoids with great size, strength, speed, intelligence, efficiency, and brutality, without need of extra gimmicks like tentacles, eyeball in mouth, attached laser beams, optical illusions, cybernetic parts, two heads with infinitely growing fingernails, etc. (as in later Tyrant-like mutants). Likewise, the T-Rexes in the old Jurassic Park films do have a charming simplicity as well, in that they were able to leave a huge impression on moviegoing audiences just by having earthshaking footsteps, crushing jaws, well-designed sound-effects, and an excellently-paced presentation that filled their scenes with a lot of subtle suspense.
Just look at the whole environment, the constant noises around you (the Tyrant footsteps are just awesome), the nice graphics (character modeling and lighting), the endless sensation of being in danger (a true horror game) etc... After watching 10 minutes I can say this is gonna be one of the scariest games ever.
even though I am really not familiar with the Resident Evil series, except some random let's plays. I must say this particular remake caught my attention and I'm thinking about getting in on my birthday which is like 4 days apart from the premiere of it. Didn't play a horror game in a while and I will prolly shit my bricks playing this. Game looks amazing.
crown_clown I’m not sure if you know but the demo is out, on PS4 at least. Well worth a try! It’s a one shot demo though which means you get 30 minutes to play and then you can’t play again
@@SaosinComeClose downloaded it yesterday and played through the 30 minutes. It was soo short but the game felt pretty great. I will definitely buy the full version.
crown_clown Nice! Yeah it was unusual to play a demo like that. I’d like to think it left people wanting more. Not long to go until full release. Enjoy man!
Well you know if this sells half as good as they think it will I’m sure we can expect a remake of res 3 in the coming years. No doubt in my mind. Can’t wait for this! Get to fall in love all over again.
Nemesis would be worst because he will not just walk to you, he will chase you down like a fucking rocket. And speaking of rockets, he has a freaking rocket launcher to shoot you with. And of course in the remake they can apply his tentacle into another long range attack which will make him even more dangerous. Basically, Nemesis will be even more terrifying if they remake RE3.
Would actually be smart because of the Jurassic Park films bringing popularity back to Dinosaur stuff That and it's a fucking cool game that would look great redone
@@Amalekites yeah, you do realize this is a remake from the original ps1, that game was sick and would freak me out, but this is a whole nother level...
That mother fucker is T00 a T103 series tyrant part of a mass production line for umbrella america. If you dont know much about the tyrant species it's worth noting that only a very small statistic of people have the genes to mutate into tyrants from the t virus. Everyone else turns into a zombie. So you're right about one thing. Not a zombie.
@@williamcox7662 it would be nice if they could remake it into a much better game, maybe cut out some of the worst nemesis encounters and replace them with more bosses and improve the other nemesis encounters, while also making the town feel empty and barren
William Cox That's your subjective opinion. I personally love RE3 as much as RE2, both have great atmospheric soundtracks and very memorable main antagonists.
Fernando Lima true terror is slow and menacing, giving you more time to fear what might happen as opposed to an enemy that runs up to you and attacks so your imagination doesn't have time to fear the worst
@Joe Ç no it's not only because EA, Dead Space has been pirated so much that the Visceral Studio goes bankrupt So next time you want to pirate a game, think again because it will hurt the studio you love like Visceral
Lol even in the main hall that was safe in the original RE2, Mr X can still walk through there like nothing. Just watching this had me scared, imagine playing it knowing Mr X can pop up at any moment. Capcom has done an amazing job so far with this legendary remake. Nemesis will, in a potential RE3, probably have me shitting on myself with fear.
@@HieiYoukai Well he shot 4 bullets for the first zombie and 6 for the second one in the stairs, seems like a lot to me. The game isn't out yet so if shooting in the head means nothing, well...
They've shown in other gameplay videos that they've nerfed headshots as well. They don't kill instantly like you might be expecting. I saw a zombie with half a head, having been shot in the head 4-5 times and fall down, get back up in another video and keep attacking the player, while the commentator mentioned that headshots don't always kill zombies like you may be expecting now, just to keep things challenging/interesting/etc. So yea, RE zombies in this game are more durable than they've ever been before, apparently. Knee shots to drop them and give you time to run might not be a bad option in RE2 Remake. But like you said, game is not out yet, so we shall see once we actually get the chance to get a controller in our hands and see the final product and how they end up balancing it ;)
