Resident Evil 2 Remake Hardcore S+ Guide (Leon) 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Im not sure what my fps was here since I never use a counter, but at higher fps the knife does more damage (wtf capcom lol) So for peace of mind I made a video of beating Birkin 1 and 3 on 60FPS. Only Birkin 1 requires a dif strat for 60fps, but he still dies in less than a minute! Birkin 3 is about the same! This remake actually got me into resident evil, I tuned into someone’s live stream of them battling the super tyrant as Leon at the end of the game, the music was slapping at that point and thought to myself yea I got try this for myself lmao.

I beat this game 100% 4 years ago but still watch the whole thing cause you're that good and passionate about it lmao. Keep it up, man!

Thank you so much man! I didn’t think it was even possible. I did my run in 1:58:25. Took me 3 days. That part from Ada’s segment to the second Birkin’s fight was a real nightmare. Literally took me almost 2 days to complete. Things that went wrong during my playthrough: 1) I didn’t save before 1st boss fight since it looked quite easy here, but I haven’t noticed about 60 fps part and was quite surprised when after 15 knife hits, grenade and another 10+ hits he didn’t die. Had to restart. 2) I didn’t save before Ada’s part and that lady which you said could be anywhere down there came out of nowhere from the corner when I tried to shot second guy in the leg to stun him. She bite me I panicked and then died shortly after that. 3) those things in a water are pure RNG fest, so annoying to deal with. 4) that second Birkin’s fight went wrong so many times. When I jumped on the platform he jumped on it immediately too, stunned me. Then I tried to press the first button and he hit me right after, I panicked again and died shortly after. Long story short he never let me to flash bang him after I pressed first button. Had to change my strategy a little bit. The most frustrating part was after each failed attempt I had to run almost 30 minutes to reach him again. The good thing is I did last two bosses on my first try. Thank you again! My very first s+ run in these series.

Ngl, I've been terrified of RE2R's gameplay mainly because of the chase mechanic that Mr. X has. Just the idea lingering in the back of my mind and hearing wandering footsteps while playing is enough to set my flight response going. Took me forever to get around to this game, but when I decided to go for the Hardcore S+ I knew right where to go after I followed your video from RE4 to get the cat ears. I was able to get my run complete in 1:34:33 and now onto Claire. Thanks for the strats man, real life saver haha.

Not sure if this was mentioned before, but two codes you need to put in laboratory that look like tetris pieces is actually numbers but designed in negative space. Just look closely at those symbols and you see numbers. Not that it matters, but I found it interesting detail. Also, watched your videos on RE4R after I played it to an oblivion. I learned nothing new and it was still a lot of fun. And watching this RE2R videos BEFORE I attempt to played the shit out of this game. So thank you! You're a wonderful person, I can feel it through the videos: how chill you are, how you mention your doggo and keep telling us to take breaks, all of it. I am currently going through this with you. Got to my first save.... finally. I kept getting that black screen issue/crash...figured it out. I set my hz to 120 and made my fps variable....sorted. Anyways, messed up, my birkin fight ended up using shotgun and pistol ammo lol. I'm hoping i will be ok lol. At 39min, which is 9min slower than you. Great video loving the commmentary. Will keep you updated

33:25 For this part, as far as I know, you can enter the hallway to trigger the licker and instead of moving forward, you go back to the previous room. This, for some reason, will make the licker go away (I think the licker goes to the room outside the weapons locker) Anyway, doing that will allow you to run in the hallway and make you feel a little bit less stressed xD

Got the 100% for the base game back in 2019 and man your strat for Birkin 2 after the sewer would’ve saved me so much time. I saved at the spot you did and I kept having the worst luck with the boss battle causing me to do the sewer like 5-6 times. Became an expert at dodging the G-adults/poo monsters by the end of it. Once he was beaten, the rest of the run went off without a hitch. Watching your vids cause they are entertaining af and I love the positive energy. Looking forward to your future no damage vids. This was actually my first Resident Evil game. I have played and is one of my top 3 favorite right below Resident Evil 4. 1.RE4(2005)and RE4 Remake. 2.RE2 Remake and third is RE8. I'm still new to the Resident Evil franchise and still playing more and more Resident Evil games. On a side note, great video bro I hope to see you in Resident Evil 5 remake.
