To be fair, the thumbnail is perfectly posed to LOOK like X is just cheekily peeking in, as opposed to his futile march against the door while bending down awkwardly.
@@WarriorAngel001 oh my goddd I didn't know he couldn't get in there, I was playing the game for the first time and up there and I heard steps outside the door, I had no idea where to go so I hid in the very corner and just sat there for 3 minutes cause dude just would not leave. I was horrified
@@thefakejoel7323 my first playthrough I was actively being chased by him and panicked cause there was no way out. I hoped there might be some kind of way to kill him in the clock tower (I never played the original RE2 so I didnt know any better) but there wasnt. But to my elation he doesnt pursue you in there. Actually there is a connected hallway that goes where the room with the cell and goddess statue is (where the 3rd medallion is found) but its blocked by a barricade. It would be interesting if X followed into the clock tower but you could undo the block from the clock tower side to escape.lol Its still eerie when you're up on that level looking down on the main hall and X is walking through the room. Especially if you fire on him and he proceeds to head on up towards you, and the music starts in. Heck my first playthrough I didnt know he'd go into the main hall.lol I got in there thinking I was safe till I heard the footsteps, stopped and turned around, and thought "surely not...right??".lol Then the door opened...😅💀
Actually, one of the very few things I found slightly disappointing in this excellent game was the fact that you couldn't kick doors to injure enemies on the other side, like in Resident Evil 4.
Damn. It's just a glitch. I was hoping it was a creepy easter egg or something where the player would think they were safe and he would open the door and look in just to mess with them and give them a creepy feeling. Like a "you can't hide in here forever" type of feeling. This is still funny though.

Hiding in the save room with red health, 5 handgun bullets and no herbs whilst hearing those menacing footsteps outside is definitely up there in my most terrifying life experiences.
@@thesiren05 You can't make out what floor he's on so you need take a few gentle steps out slowly creep to the end of the corridor, and shine the light down the end. He's not there... Creep slowly towards the safety deposit room. You've just claimed the 2 panel buttons and can't wait to get that extra space and ammo. As soon as you round the corner the licker senses something and starts moving towards you, you manage to sidestep around but then the west office door opens right behind you! And a menacing Shadow fills the frame.

Well people say that the Stars room is also a safe place from Mr.X but nope he literally went inside I had to flash him to get by him all I know my heart was racing
On one of my playthroughs Mr.X was outside of the save room. I thought he walked off after I used the storage chest. Turns out I opened the door to take a punch to the face.
@@Brollyssweetface Sometimes he just be camping by the door. I'm playing on Hardcore and he was just right by the door. If I run to the left, I would be in the hall with the licker, which can wreak my shit in two hits.... while Mr X chasing me. To the right, and I would run into a fist with two hungry zombies in the distance. And I only got two shotgun ammo and a nearly broken knife.... Ugh
@@legendoflink5882 Dang that sounds stressful as hell. Yeah, I just saw the camping out thing in 8 bit Ryan's let's play. Looks like I've been lucky. For me, he almost always wonders upstairs.
