Yep. The moment you heard “Stars...” you didn’t just steel yourself for a jump scare. You thought, “Where the hell is he gonna pop up from now?” because he never popped up right when you heard Stars

They both had their moments, Mr.X (or "Trenchy" as he has been redubbed in the remake) had very memorable encounters and subverted the flow of your second playthrough of RE2, but he honestly didn't present much of a threat as long as you had enough ammo with a high-caliber/explosive weapon, Nemesis' appearances didn't have the same impact as Mr.X', but he was a much more formidable adversary (hence the name, I guess), the first time you try to fight him, you *are* going to die, there's no doubt about it, nobody was ready for that guy back then. Mr.X is scary, Nemesis is intimidating, different ways to present the "Terminator" type of enemy.

"Zombies" are pretty much the entry-level foot soldiers for these games. It has never just been about them, rather it's more about the [A-Z]virus+[insert subject].

Yeah and I'm not entirely convinced that Carlos would be able to push that bell either, it's the plot that gave him just enough strength to push it. How did that bell even get there anyway? Who pushed it? Where did it come from? Why would the player assume that he can push it now that he's someone else? You know, since the mercs were holed up in that building, they could have instead placed some sort of locking mechanism on that door, that can only be opened by key cards carried by them, Carlos would have such a keycard in his inventory when you start playing as him, I think that would be a less contrived way of preventing Jill from progressing.

I think Max's idea of having a hard difficulty where Nemesis deletes your save data he catches you is cool. I at least want one scripted scene where Nemesis Koolaid man's through a wall and breaks your typewriter before you can save.
