The game DOES tell you is futile to fight him and after one try you can figure out is a waste of ammo... But I bet RE veterans will still try to take him down whenever he's on-screen, either for "Payback", Pride or heck just for the LULZ.

Lawd. I hope not. The fact he has long ranged attacks from the beginning, can leap in front of you, mutate zombies and can tentacle sling across the city is bad enough, and this is just to start with. There's still the flamethrower and the rocket launcher to contend with.

@J Foster this game is more open than the RE2 remake. You were stuck in tight hallways with Mr X. But much less so here. You can literally run around Nemesis in a circle and he can't hit you. His wind-up is too slow.

well, that arm he is raising is the one with the tentacle, so I assume when he gets certain ammount of damage, his body starts mutating but that thing in his chest does something to prevent mutations, so it choke/electrocute him. like literally, if you get close to him when he is down, you can hear some noises, maybe his body fighting agaisnt that thing in his chest to mutate or his body just healing the wounds. EDIT: He does that too in the original, not when he is getting down, but sometimes when he sees you, he rawrs lifting that same arm (the one with the tentacle).

@@adamturner5005 and besides all of nemesis attacks are dodgable and can be evaded pretty easily if you practice a bit and know what is coming at you next , so i am again on razer's side where it would really make a difference if they added extra stuff in there , and not these only moves that nemesis has , who knows maybe there is more to come . Only time can tell .

For everybody saying he makes the dodge mechanic and nemesis look so easy, he’s playing on assisted mode, nemesis is very slow and very weak on assisted mode..I’m not knocking that he’s nice, I’m just saying you could make this look easy too if you change the mode to assisted. It’s very easy.

In the remake, this makes more sense as you see him self-healing, in the original he just takes bullets like it's nothing.

He is going to have a wide array of actual mechanics. In one instance he will use a destroyed flamethrower as a club, in other he will have a rocket launcher with laser aiming. There will be other forms and mechanics too, but I won't spoil it. April 3rd is pretty soon.

I still wish it was slightly easier to just kill the zombies at least. In RE 6 a head shot usually kills them right away. Cause the whole point of killing zombies is in the head, Leon specifically says so lol. And in both RE 2 and 3 remake you usually have to shoot them several times with a regular gun. Sometimes a focused shot gets a kill but not much.

Capcom is at least consisting when it comes to gun balancing... Shotgun to the chest= Almost guaranteed K.O Assault Rifle to the Head/Chest= takes 90-150 bullets to take him down... just like the original RE3.

If you down him plenty of times with the knife i noticed he does a different animation of one in pain touching his shoulder when his part of his clothes starts to rip. Didn't see that here. Love this demo. Its fun messing with Nemmy once you understand his attack pattern and spawns.

He had some scary moments in the remake, it was just a bit too obvious that Jill was invincible and protected by plot armour. Like when he grabs Jill's head and pulls her up the ladder, it's cool, but then he throws her to the side in a way which would surely cause irreparable damage and she is somehow OK.

Well how many runs did it take for him to get the dodge down? This is why I was against a demo. It kinda ruined the surprise aspect of nemesis and gives people a chance to master the dodge. I rather see authentic surprise reactions with the real game. But oh well. At least this isnt all of nemesis just his basic form.

Yea he’s nice but he’s also on assisted mode it gives you more lead way with the dodge and nemesis is way slower and weaker...it would be a different story on hardcore or even standard mode

You need to die few times and the game will ask to change difficult. The M4 comes with the assisted gay mode.

You'd think nemesis is stronger in remake but they actually put him in jobber zone for the journalists. His attacks and recover in OG were quicker. Took a lot more shots to take down, not just with one nade (i know he takes more in higher diffs). He had a phase 2 in each encounter where he'd attack faster. He didnt give you your sweet time to get up after every knockdown, he'd immediately attempt to pick you up to finish you off if you're still downed. He used weapons more than once until you defeat him at the church.

He goes down way too easily in the remake, the only thing which drops him with one shot in the original is a nuclear grade rocket launcher.
