Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Controller Review 

AAAAAAAAAAAAHH..... I'll buy it at a high price!

I wonder how playing smash with this would be like...

I remember when re4 came out I was about 12. I saw this chainsaw in the back of the manual being advertised, I asked my mom to get me it and she said she would but never did. And I ended up forgetting about it. Now this just reminded me but I am not that excited eight years later for it but its still pretty cool.

i just bought this controller off ebay and i am stuck on trying to get it out of the display box

I'd love to have one of these myself. Resident Evil is one of my favorite game series and I've recently started collecting for the GameCube, this would easily be the crown jewel of my collection (mostly because of how bare my shelf is right now, *weeps silently in the corner*). I've checked out prices for this thing and all I can say is, you sure got a steal, Alpha! Then again, seeing as though I forked over the cash for near-mint GameCube component cables a few weeks ago, I'll probably do the same for this controller, so long as it comes with the sweet-ass case and stand.

I got my PS2 version of this a week ago. Bought an adaptor so I can use it on my Xbox 360 :)

I’m starting to collect controllers and I’ve only recently gotten my first old one, that being the original SNES controller. And I have really wanted to get one of these even before I started. Plus after seeing the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie trailer I just want it even more. Btw the lowest price I saw for it online was $430 so might take a long ass time to get one. Great video though! Also glad that the first one I saw from you was an old controller review. Just seems kind of poetic in a way.

I am just thinking a Barry Burton moment whenever someone wants to play Smash Bros Melee or something. "Hey did you bring your Gamecube controller?" Brings out Chainsaw controller: "I have THIS!" LOL

That thing looks so ridiculous that I may have to try tracking on of those puppies down, preferably for the GC, because just the fact alone that this is available on a Nintendo console is hysterical. It oughta make chainsaw noises too. I know it's intended for use with Resident Evil 4, but if I got one, I'd probably be a asshole and play a Mario game with it. XD

The GC is such a beast for RE games... RE 0, 1 remake, 2,3, CVX, 4 & CHAINSAW CONTROLLER!

Playing RE4 on PC with this controller using a adapter would be awesome

Also I have the original velvet "fake glass and wood" case. Really nice looking

I like how the case is for the ps2 version. The cable comes in a drawer on the side. Only thing that sucks is opening it, but i love it.

now they need to make a wiimote like this for resident evil 6 :) (imagine being able to use this for any wii/ wii U game)

The Wii version is playable with the Gamecube controller. You just have to wait until it tells you to connect a Classic Controller. Plug in the GCN controller, and the screen should bypass

@bertbow9 Yeah its pretty sweet, but the ps2/pc version is admittedly better, an easier to find no less. personally if it were up to me i would like this to be re-released for wii somehow

I have the magnum and knife for resident evil darkside chronicles for wii and RE umbrella chronicles for wii (Real shoter version)

customize one of those cheapo memory cards with blood etc and put it in that little slot on the base. wah lah.

Ive been looking for one for a while but I cant buy both GC & Ps2 lol! I want the GC version but it's going for $75.00 so I bought a Turbo Grafx 16 Turbo Express with 3 games/TV tuner and charger for $100.00 instead ;0) Got my fingers crossed for the yard sales this year(I was wanting a Vectrex sooooo bad and found one for $5.00 last summer with 6 boxed games at an Estate Sale)!

For a controller it's not the greatest in the world, because if playing a hectic game it's kind of hard to reach the buttons while holding the handles like you should. Also the motion thingy, raising it to aim is clunky and its better to turn it off. But man is it awesome. And the fact that the wire pull-out whateveritscalled is also a start button? And that it rumbles and makes noise when its pulled? Wow.

this makes me sad, to remember i skiped over te ps2 controlerwhen i had the chance, but it got me to thinking maybe someone out there has the skill to take the ps2 version and a ps3 controler and frankenstien them together
