@@Kofferr 3080 here too, unfortunately it can't do 4k locked 60fps in this game without FSR, even when RT, hair strands are off and few other settings reduced. Game needs DLSS support since FSR doesn't look great, but I don't think the devs will add it.

Capcom somehow over delivered on a game like RE4. I expected it to be good, but I am absolutely blown away. I can't stop speedrunning the demo. And the performance is good! I feel like it has been so long since I have said that when talking about a AAA game.

From currently used engines Unreal 5 probably IDtech7 and this one for sure, with Unreal its bit more complicated, probably becouse of best performance per visual, depends a lot on knowladge of people who actualy works with it. Its kinda obvious these guys from Capcom knows excatly how to get the best from their own technology :). I am not everytime a big fan of RT , but in this game it looks realy well implemented decent, effective and natural and probably not too demanding, which isnt the case in many RT supported games. This is just some top notch quality development it seems :).

Now let´s hope DRM doesn´t mess up with the performance in the full game this time. Seems to run smoothly in the Demo. I like the RE Engine on PC. It delivers good performance with reasonable hardware. Will try later when i´m at home.

The RE4 demo is DRM free, though the full game won't be. Hogwarts Legacy had like a difference of 40+ FPS without denuvo, though... Which is unfortunate, but lets hope for the best.

@João M. Does not seem to be so. There are several versions that display extreme incongruences between the cracked version and the steam version, not only 1. Not to mention, significant less CPU usage on cracked version, which will impact performance massively on weaker hardware, as well as greater 0.1% frame drops. Yeah, seems to be mostly steam overlay, after researching. But the 0.1% framedrops are still heavier on denuvo side, along with cpu usage.

Something incredibly weird that I realized in this game. GPU usage is sitting pretty much always at 99%, even if you lower the resolution to 640x480. I still didn't find the reason as to why, lol.

Running on a similar system 13900k clocked at 5.8 on two p cores rest 5.5 e cores 4.3 and 64GB of DDR4 3600mhz and a 4090 and LG C2 48 inch and get comparable fps. The HDR is really good.

Damn even the God-King GPU can't get a locked 120fps. I get about 55-65 on a 4070ti @ 4K, game looks incredible. I normally turn render scale to 70% and get 120 fps though which is a cope but really doesn't look too bad in RE engine somehow. 70% rs looks better than FSR1/2, it looks quite close to native for me but maybe I'm overselling it.

I installed that Stix 4090 in my 2nd rig, my media server. I recieved a Bykski block for it. I still need to pick up a 13900k then get it all installed in my gaming rig. I got some build up in my Glacial block that I'm going to try and flush out with the EK Super flush kit, I hope it goes well the block doesn't come apart.

Some textures looks pretty low res to me in this as well, especially rocks. Which is very strange because these newer RE engine games always have an option for very high quality textures that use a ton of VRAM. Also I really hope they fix the rain because that looked terrible in gameplay trailers. I know this is still cross gen but Callisto looked absolutely insane on current gen and PC while it only looked bad on last gen.

@@kostyabenson4308 Its rather opposite, gap between consoles vs powerfull PC like from this vid is HUGE. This PC in rasterization has 4x better performance than next gens, with RT its almost 10x. In RE4 demo on 4090&13900k u have native 4K with max RT and max settings @ 100-120 fps. On PS5/XSX u have dynamic upscalled 4K, common 1872p - after upscalling (that looks like 1080p, very blurry) without RT on much lower settings @60 fps.

Maxed everything and did quality 130% to keep my 4090 at its OC of 3090mhz. It stayed around 55-60C as well (xtreme's AIO doing Gods work). Over 100fps at 4K is magnificent I thought you had your 4090 blocked; whats with the low core clock here?

Image Quality is a resolution scaler, it has no bearing on your GPU core clock, and it also means you are not playing at 4K. So when you say " to keep my 4090 at its OC of 3090mhz" that is false statement. I never once said I water cooled this card, and why would I as I upgrade to often. Nice to see you have plenty of videos showing of your overclocked RTX 4090 at 3090MHz

For some reason, in the full version, my vram in the main menu settings goes from over 14gb used, to just over 12gb used when I check the in game settings. Super weird. Nothing is changed settings wise but the settings are showing a difference of about 2gb of vram being used.

I was playing this on 1440p with my Legion 5i with the following specs; 3060 140w/16GG DDR5/i7 12700H I set some sliders higher than the defaults and got the usage just under the VRAM limit and it ran very nicely. It's a really good PC port and I'm actually gonna preorder it now. Game is really fun too

Have you turned RTX on though? I have 3060 ti + 10400f (Desktop), and I can max out literally every setting besides RTX and complete the game without issues(30-50 fps though). However it keeps craching with RTX-on even if I drastically reduce the VRAM usage to around 6gb

I got like 20 - 30 fps with 3060 ti too with everything max and RTX on highest lol (though mine didnt crash, but was pretty much unplayable) nonetheless, I found the best specs for my 3060 ti to be at; everything max, image quality 120 - 130% texture quality to 1.5 GB, ray tracing on highest, and bloom/depth of field/chromatic aberration off. That way, could finish the game with 60+ fps (couldn't check how much because NVIDIA FPS counter does not work on RE4 demo for some reason.) Though, there is not a lot of ray tracing available in the early part of the game as presented in the demo, it might go lower than 60 when you get to, like, the lake. In which case, you would just have to lower the image quality or put ray tracing on normal

@@zord90x58 Yeah, I've managed to make it work fine with your settings. Thanks for the tip! Though do you mean you set textures to 0.5GB? I don't think there's a 1.5GB option. As for image quality - yes, I tried to set it at 200% at first, but then I put it back to 100% and it still crashed. As I've said before I tried to reduce VRAM usage to around 6GB almost as with your preset. That's weird, is the "bloom/depth of field/chromatic aberration off" part of your optimization a real key to the d3d error solution? I think I'm gonna play around with the settings further, but hopefully they'll just improve optimization of the full game later on. As far as I remember, RE Village worked fine on my system with RT and textures/image quality maxed out.

@@xleftsidex1627 oop, yeah, I meant 0.5gb, accidentally put an 1, but that seems to be the best for performance. As for the d3d error, it seems to be a problem with texture/VRAM. The bloom/depth of field/chromatic aberration is just for a better visual per se. You can also change shadows to high instead of max to reduce the crashing, if it still does. The game is a pretty big mess in terms of performance/glitches. They will surely patch it. Though, don't expect miracles, as the version you are playing is Denuvo free, the paid one will have the Denuvo and will likely hinder performance. Hogwarts Legacy, for example, had 40 FPS more in the cracked version than it did in the paid one, because of the removed Denuvo.

@xLeftSidex Just as a test, I maxed out everything except RT at 1440p and I was getting about 30-60fps even though I was way over expected VRAM use. It was more on the higher side when under less taxing scenes but the village area hovered around the mid-high 30s during combat. Not the settings I'll actually play with, but Capcom have hit it out of the park as far as optimization goes. The RE Engine does not disappoint when it comes to PC ports. I also ended up confidently preordering the game. First game I've ever preordered.

this is one of the only games i have played where my limited vram has become an issue. im still rocking a 2080ti with 11gb vram. but i play at 1440p. so it still performs well. and when i crank everything to there max values including raytracing. the game crashes. i assume its a vram issue. never ran into this problem before

Its a very last gen looking game still so this is to be expected. The resolution drop when you get to the village with them burning guy is very noticeable on consoles and still cant hold a stable 60 with ray tracing on

Leon looking scared but he is about to take over the entire shit in the game. It just doesn't make any sence. Leon have to be the badass from the original. At least to some point. Scared guy would never jump on the hordes of horrors up ahead. There's something wrong in his movement. He must be stoic guy. He isn't there to save his life. He is there to save others life and he feel comfortable to do his job. Also if the devs want to make from this good remake they have to add an obsticale for Leon and Ashley preventing their possible escape at the very beginning of the game when they getting out of the church. It's just the stupidest thing for Leon to take her into the horror instead just take her away of the village. The music is way too much Doom 4, totally different from the vibe of the original and that's not good. I'm serious! I don't even know why i comment.

Ah I see vram isn't seem properly for you as well. Noticed on my 2080 that it was only detecting 7GB out of 8. Also the demo would hard crash with a D3D error if vram usage even remotely hit the yellow range. Sorted out by lowering some settings but it is rather odd. other than that and some slight microstuter(shader compile?) it ran pretty good given the hardware I have.

P cores on 6ghz and E cores on 4.6ghz and power draw only 75w to 80w that's impossible for 13900k. 13900k is the most power-hungry processor intel ever made. It seems fake to me. only 13900KS has the standard ability to reach 6ghz. this gameplay hardware configuration is questionable and misguided.

Your inexperience is pretty clear to see here. Let me first deal with the power draw. These CPU's can draw over 370W at max load, in this video i'm only using around 12% load. So low load = low power draw. The i9 13900K means it can be overclocked, that is what the "K" means, unlocked multiplyer. If you want to see my overclock settings I will put a link down below.
