Resident Evil 4: Remake - Leon Kills the Chainsaw Man, Angry Villagers, Birds, a Rat & Some Nuts! The Resident Evil 4: Remake Demo is Available now on Playstation, Xbox and Steam: store.steampow... #residentevil4remake #residentevil4
Something a little bit different today! Obviously this isn't an indie game like the normal games I cover, but I really love Resident Evil 4 so had to check out the remake. It's pretty damn cool and the Dr Salvador's just as terrifying as ever! :)
The pistol sounds so satisfying. Also like that Leon actually speaks Spanish instead of speaking English expecting a Foreigner to understand in the original.
6:50 "What's your situation??" Cop: "Ah ah uAaaAAuuuUaauUuuaAAghhhh!!!" I think it was "everything is under control" in Spanish. 7:26 the one weak point of zombies the zombie movies and games don't tell you about 8:56 "You must continue the Redfield bloodline, Leon!" (It's almost too easy to make a "Here's Johnny!" joke) 11:52 At least that's ONE PART of him that ain't getting up 12:27 I think this man is no longer in the risk group of colon cancer. You saved his life, ABG! 14:00 ABG: "I must stealthily move about to avoid being spotted" Also ABG: *Loudly smashes a barrel while doing a battlecry*
Since the remakes of RE2 and 3 I really lost interest in the RE games. I'm sure that this one will not be different from the previous remakes where every optional choose the player had in the old games will be resumed into one single railway path in this remake.
I know it's a throwing prop piece but man they could've done a better job with that deer towards the start. Lookin like some PS3 graphics. Also, the dick shot? Not cool man. This game kind of looks like every other game I have seen made in the last five years. The excessive handholding, the linearity...
As a native Spanish speaker, it makes me glad that they kept some of the original voice lines and remade them with a more accurate Spanish accent that belongs to the location RE4 is set in.
I speak no Spanish but I know all the old lines by heart. I had a smile on my face the whole time while doing the village battle just because of these new lines.
@@thebuddah1253 Same. Man, RE4 is just so good a videogame. I was having my doubts, but if they keep the rest of the remake as loyal as this demo, then it won't be bad at all.
@@cdg670 That's the thing. All of these changes makes it feel distinct from the original. The original already exists and will be playable to kept alive forever. I don't mind if this new one throws some curve balls. If the castle, island or village is more of an interconnected level rather than a linear series of challenges I won't mind. The fact that Luis will have a bigger role is something I'm already looking forward to. The game just needs to be faithful ENOUGH but I will welcome new stuff as long as it's good.
It was almost as good a delivery. This Leon just doesn't have the Chad air the one is OG 4 had. I do appreciate that his lines don't feel forced though.
it's strange to hear the iconic "detrás de ti, imbécil" with accurate spanish accent it was such a meme in spain how the villagers accent in the original was basically latam rather than castillian
It’s still kinda strange that they all speak flawlessly, being a town in the middle of nowhere I would expect a thicker accent. It’s still better than having an accent of a completely different place
I think you are the first person on RU-vid to show the chainsaw guy dying so congrats on doing what other couldn’t (or refuse to do), you did pretty well compared to other RU-vidrs who play the demo
It's because you have a time or kill counter that causes the bell ringing. On my first playthrough of the demo I was taking out the villagers left and right and it ended so fast! Second playthrough I made sure to focus on Salvador and got the kill.
Please don't kill Chainsaw Man. He just wanted to touch some boobahs. 18:08 "let's see if you can climb this!" *immediately jumps out and lands in their midst, so they can get him, making climbing unnecessary* 18:18 chainsaw man ---> pain(t)ball man 18:43 wow, the chainsaw man blocked the bullets by turning around and cushioning them with his buttocks! What a power move!
That intro scene was amazing. Great characterization for Leon. Glad they kept Leon being forced to work for the government, makes things seem more tragic.
I played the original RE4 on the GameCube, but man... Facials from Novistadores, thyroid checks from the Garradors, acupunture from the Iron Maidens, full-body massages from Ramón Salazar, and preparations for head-replacement surgery from Dr. Salvador and the Type B Plagas...I shudder to think how they'll look three game-console generations later.
There is a 'hard mode' in RE4 demo but I can't finish it, it's too hard, very hard. Now to trigger this, just relaunch the game until you get a prompt to enable this hard mode
Hi! Yeah I got the hard (chainasaw) mode once, but it's ridiculously hard so gave up after being murdered when 3 of them rushed me in the basement of the first building!
@@AlphaBetaGamer Not gonna lie, watching your RE4 playthrough is chaotic and adrenaline filling, definitely scared me too! Especially when you get cornered by many ganados especially with the chainsaw man it's a miracle you survived lmaoooo :D Definitely kept me on my toes too
I'm saying. Discovering Leon jumping out the window in the OG for the first time in the series awestruck me like no other. Really disappointing our introduction to it was reduced to a cutscene. And the animation we do the player using isn't anywhere near as cool. 😒
I wonder if this remake this time around use Spanish Spanish or is it Mexican Spanish like in the original one? Also a nice tribute to RE3.5 the way Leon hold his flashlight
big companies only do remakes these days, their grew too greedy and their balls shrank so small it's impossible for them to experiment anymore this age marks the crisis of aaa-gamedev but the golden age of indie games is upon us, so it's all good
I gotta say I was skeptical at the start when it seemed they ignored the original game's pallette in favor of a generic hollywood horror movie look with the extremely blue and cold lighting/color correction, but then it became clear that they just decided to make this whole sequence more dynamic by making it start pre-sunrise and transitioning to the classic hazy muted Fall colors of the original for the town square section. And they translated it beautifully, sometimes game devs have a hard time interpreting the highly stylized color choices of PS1/PS2 era games for remakes and end up defaulting to generic lighting conditions, but they really knew what they were doing.
NGL I’m glad they’re actually giving a better backstory context to Leon & Krauser As much as I love Classic RE4, I always felt like they brushed over the past of Leon post-Raccoon City & Krauser, leaving me more confused at Krauser’s sudden appearance without an actual backstory, & wondering how Leon post-Raccoon City turned out to be.
Leon not Chris Redfield he's not in RE4 Remake dude you got everybody confused between Leon and Chris Redfield, I looked it up Chris is not RE4 Remake he will appear in the next game Chris is not coming in this one
@@AlphaBetaGamer I was looking at the title was confused between Chris and Leon was not suspecting Chris will be in the game Chris was in RE5 Leon was in RE4 how could be the title be Chris Redfield over Leon Chris wasn't shown in trailer he only made his appearance RE5 Chris Redfield, Leon he appeared in RE4 just to make sure it's correct
@@kenshiku What! I was just explaining all just because of a long ass sentence really besides making it short, I decided to make a longer don't need chill pill, I'm already chill all because besides making a short paragraph anyway, I decided to make a long one there's nothing wrong writing down a whole sentence
Wait, that's how the remake starts? No car ride with the local Policia? Just an exposition dump? Thats disappointing, without the Policia the village scene just wouldnt be as unnerving
TBH, I was midly expecting the chicken to attack Leon. Because, it's Leon y'know... The B-series spirit follows him. ... Oh, and that ending (the ringing bells sequence) was sooo Fulcian in spirit too.
1:22 Witch ninjas have kidnapped the president's daughter. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president's daughter?? 5:11 How rude! Leon barges into somebody's house, breaks the neck of the host who was just trying to chop some wood while Leon was in the way, and then insults the owner's cooking. 6:04 Police brutality smh. I think that rat deserved a fair trial. It was obviously framed. The guy on the table was already dead when the rat came here.
I like how they made it both fun and serious at the same time. Yeah, in original there was lore, but it's completely forgotten because of 5 seconds cooldown cheesy dialogues and one liners. In the remake they kept some content and remade and it's perfect combination of seriousness of previous parts and fun gameplay of the original resi 4 Also nice video😊👌
So, I'm only like 5 minutes in, and I have a huge problem with this. I do love RE4, I completed it entirely on PS2 years ago, and I'm as hype as everyone else about the full release of this remake, but I also love blades, and knives don't work like that. When Leon blocks that hatchet strike, the teeth of the knife are facing him, against an aggressive strike with killing intent. Leon's left hand is pushing back against the hatchet ON THE TEETH of his combat knife. That would mangle his hand. At the end of the knife, after the teeth, as in the shear blade, would just slice his hand in half from the massive pressure, regardless of his combat gloves. That's a bizarre oversight from the game designers.
4:30 It's an M9 Bayonette knife, yeah? With a saw edge on the opposite side of the sharpened edge, and no false edge? I doubt it'd be pleasant, but there is at least a little non-edged spine to press against. The models I'm seeing of this knife only saw on the draw stroke, not the push.
Leon wasn't messing with that first guy: knife parry right into roundhouse kick into the wall, but that didn't slow him down for long though.... The remake makes the Ganados a lot more inhuman this time around. Some of their behaviour is almost robot like, with that first one just looking at Leon and then just walking over towards his stove to get his axe while chanting under his breath, and then of course when they all hear the bell and go wandering off for prayers.
Amazing gameplay. Can't wait for the full release. I remember RE4 was the scariest game for my brothers n I back when we were just kids. Such a great nostalgia 😂
