I loved the new twist they gave Luis, in the past one he was just a creepy guy who for some reason tried to help you only to get impaled by the bad guy. At least they gave him a more memorable death. I'm also glad that they mentioned Operacion Javier. I loved the chronicles games

Week three of a chest infection, I absolutely needed more Jane quipping about Leon and Luis, so badly. I feel much better already. "I know he's immortal, I just... wanna see him..."

My problem with The World War Z book is that Brooks argues that a katana would be a bad anti-zombie weapon because it would require an immense amount of skill to wield. Maybe against another samurai, my dude...but not against a shambling corpse.

Villagers were not capable of giving informed consent to their altered state of mind that mimics happiness; it was not properly explained to them, nor did they understand the consequences. The crazy man in the laboratory apparently chose to become a mutant infected, that's informed consent, there's probably a few others in there who made that kind of choice.

I've never played or watched a Let's Play of the original game, I didn't know Luis dies!! As a lady of the world I feel his loss 😢 Edit: As a philosophy student I appreciated the 'nature of happiness' chat lol

If you want a dark reason that Luis is not shooting as many zombies as he could... He grew up in this village of less than 1000 people he likely knew many of them personally before they turned into bug zombies. Also whoever said that humans have a strong bite is correct. Humans have one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom.

This episode truly was a rollercoaster ride.

So funny thing about Luis, he is not actually inmortal, he has a large health pool, for him to die you would have to actively shoot him and yes, that's a game over.

I'm slightly ahead of Andy now in this game but i want to assure him that he will soon have an encounter that will Regenerate his enthusiasm for the game.

This got me to look up the bite force of a human. It’s listed at 70 PSI, but only in the back of the jaw. The bite force toward the front gets weaker. In comparison, the German Shepards are 238 PSI and sharks are 325 PSI.

There's another reason chainsaws are bad when fighting zombies. If it's a viral zombie, soon as that chainsaw hits you're spraying infected flesh everywhere. All you need is one companion with their mouth open at the wrong time. "I'm fine, I'm not bitten. That chunk of whatever sure tasted foul though" *bites face* Anyone else think at the end that Leon was holding on til rigor mortis set in so he wouldn't drop the lighter?

Concerning the bite force of zombies: We should really hope there are no zombie jaguars because they regularly crush crocodile skulls.

The first chainsaws where actually made for cutting bones. They didn't look much like the wood cutting chainsaws of today though.

I like how Luis had the proper interpunction marks when he spoke Spanish, that's a nice touch! Minecart part reminded me of a "Hugo" game show (and weirdly, not a scene from Indiana Jones). Can't remember it clearly enough, but I doubt the main character had a C96 Mauser though:D

I've heard that it's the varying textures of the human body that make chainsaws a bad weapon rather than the bones being too hard. Also fluids will gunk up the chain too easily, causing jsmming.

The problem I see with using chainsaws is not the bone necessarily but how messy all that is. Chainsaws have moving parts. Moving parts plus gunk = bad times. Also, it might be hard to get a good angle, especially with something moving around, so you might not be able to get to a clean spot. Instead, you'll be pulling away hair and clothing and that stuff could get lodged in the housing assembly and there is a possibility that it will get stuck. I have used chainsaws before and had to fix them when get a buildup of chain oil and sawdust and leaves sometimes when using a pole trimmer for branch trimming. The chain can also get out of alignment and will need to be reset. When I was doing this stuff, I was really glad there weren't any zombies around. Having enough spare parts and tools to fix problems is another concern. The blades go dull and that can mean increased risk of getting stuck, so you'll need to replace those periodically. Then there's chainoil and gas and it would be really silly if you just ran out of gas. Blunt weapon? I would prefer a katana, some backup knives, utility belt to set up jerry-rigged traps, and things that go boom. Redneck ninja. Any solution where there's not a lot of moving parts, you can quickly do repairs/sharpening yourself and use stuff that's laying around are all good options, I think. Survival horror means you have to play the long game.

9:09 if that were true Andy, then divers would face the same problem. they ARE facing creatures with some of the most powerful bites on the planet, after all. The reason is, that iron/steel is not elastic, so while the bite MIGHT pull apart flimsy chain armor, the properly made stuff would just retain its shape. Blunt strikes - different story, but even then it wouldn't be dramatic.
