He is also way more violent in the Remake, too. Maybe it's the black-robed one that came after us, this time? If the black-robed one is Isidro, maybe Pesanta, the red-obed Verdugo we faced in the original, will show up in Separate Ways, as people say.
I think the old taunt is a better hint that you should probably try something else but I do love that all of them are basically just DMC taunts. His REmake taunt is literally the DMC1 taunt
kind of sums up the differences between the original and remake IMO. the original requires a different kind of focus/control due to the lack of movement while shooting, while the remake is a more aggressive experience overall.
Yes, I love how in the remake the enemies are more aggressive and intelligent. Mainly the Ganados, these are about 3x harder. I'm doing a challenge to play without using the knife parry in the professional and it's hell to face the groups of ganados. haha h
I really love how faithful this boss fight was, the design, the fight itself, and the setting. It was a perfect fight so it didn't need to be altered much other than the parry for light attacks. And to think some of us thought this boss would get cut.
aside from the fact that "Parry" makes no sense given that we're talking about a creature that would rip your hand off, and maybe even your entire arm based on how much strength it has, it would be like a boxer trying to parry a blow from a grizzly bear.
While I love the remake design, I also love the OG’s almost human-like proportions. It truly looks like a person who’s modded and morphed their body to take the capabilities of a human to the extreme.
The speed animations on the old one really spooked me. I recently replayed OG RE4 and tried beating the Verdugo without an RPG and eventually I ran out of nitrogen so I was just in the elevator room shooting him up. He tanked all my shots and that was the first time I saw him do the “no no no” animation and I was like FUUUUUUUU 😂. I reloaded the game with a RPG this time and then froze him and shot the RPG, but it hit his back, to which I then discovered he fkn tanked that shot too, I pretty much lost my shit with that, bro is an absolute beast. One more reload and this time I hit him in the chest when he was frozen to which he blew up. That OG Verdugo was almost unkillable without the RPG, its why I feared him a lot growing up
@@submerged7640 iirc Isidro and "Pesanta" were both infected with the type of plaga genetically enhanced to keep the host's higher brain functions active, the same one injected onto Ashley, to get her to be able to manipulate her father and not be just...you know, a dumb Ganado like the villagers. What caused them to become like this was exposure to the black liquid being injected onto their veins, which caused this mutation. So in summary, really smart Xenomorph - Predator - Insect hybrid things.
His classic look is so elegant, almost feminine in a way but like others have said, controlled. The blur effects when he runs in OG looks super menacing and same goes for his eyes being so prominently lit up during attacks and such. His body language is just so reserved and elegant like the way he sort of rolls his shoulders or has a subtle hand movement at the end of certain animations, it gives him so much more personality while also being a menacing predator. Like a proud hunter who knows exactly what its doing. The remakes body language/design is more beastly. I get what they were going for but I think the subtlety of its behavior along with certain lighting/blur effects work so much better and the original design got it right the first time
In the remake, you missed a lot of animations, these are the dodge, both in the matrix, and the tail strike and his reaction when stunned, as well as the 3rd type of tail strike on Leon.
Do you know a video where the matrix-like dodge can be seen? I swear I saw the Remake Verdugo do it at one point in my playthrough, and I don't wanna believe it's a delusion of mine.
@@user-zi7qd1fy7d i don't know any re4 remake videos about the matrix dodge yet but your best hope of seeing it in a video is to comment on a video and hope that you get a response or you could wait and hope that the video comes out.
Missing alot of things. He can kick leon by raising his leg and slamming it down. He can do the leaning back matrix dodge thing but he also swipes you with his tail at your legs while leaning back. He also can grab you which is new. You can stab him or break free or he can kill you in that animation. Few new death animations too. He can stab you in the head with his tail or swipe and cut your head off.
@@alexeipinchen2025 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bypdFrvq9jw.html He does it here. He does a few other cool things in this video. He only does certain things based on how you are playing.
I didnt know he taunts you lol. I was too cautious on using ammo. In the original, he taunts you. In the remake, he acts cocky. I never even knew Verdugo has a personality.
They are smart fuckers. The Chronics of Pursuit reveal that they are smart because they aren't regular experiments, but super soldiers created through the injection of that black liquid we see in the pool room in the castle directly onto a person's bloodstream. They were both also _possibly_ infected with the dominant Las Plagas beforehand.
New design shows a true nemesis. It also shows more monster-like aura. While the old version was simply a goat. Semi-resembles a human. Attitude is colder than the ice of antartica.
Of courae overall movement, animation and graphic is better in the remake but i like the bullet Dodge way more in OG and i like the frozen animation more in the OG aswell
I didn't know he taunted in the original game and I've had it for over 15 years. I saw him taunt in the remake and I was thinking 'I guess the producers still have a sense of humor for this game.
The original took inspiration of what was popular at the time like the matrix with his moves and the terminator with his taunt but i like the take of the remake, a beast thirsty for blood and more aggressive with his moves. Even the remake makes more enfasis on his personality with the notes that were left by the Verdugo before he transformed while the original only had one note left by the verdugo.
Even though the original was an evolution when it comes to survival horror, the remake really nailed scenary, mechanics, it really add waaay refined animations, which helped a lot the overall atmosphere.
