I think he just absolutely fumbled the wording. To me, it seems like he meant "I can't fault the game for losing some of it's scare factor because they want you to feel powerful as the game progresses, and you do."

I liked RE6 mostly because of the characters and fun gameplay. I would've liked RE7 too, but the fact that it's an FPS just kills it instantly for me. I really love how they successfully brought back the RE1 feel, but I would've loved it more if they got the fixated camera angles or even the third person camera. Now THAT would be a big return to its roots.

I loved RE6. I’m also currently playing through the Gold Edition and I love it for a completely different reason so far, the feeling of helplessness and having to hide and defend yourself from the bakers only if necessary is awesome. I also think the First Person view adds a new level of intensity to it personally. So much so that when the tension ramps up I forget I’m playing a video game and am fighting as a character named Ethan I think I’m thrown into this hellhole many years down the road when I am married. I hope to god that when I am married I never have to go through a hellish nightmare like this lol

To me, since the games, ever since RE1, always had some level of surreal over-the-top action going on, going from survival-horror to survival-action, was an evoltion that made total sense to me. Things evolve, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, but Resident Evil, although "abandoning horror" always stuck true to its core theme of zombie mutations and corny one liners, that the series has always been known for. Unlike Sonic, where the games HAVE become worse and worse throughout the years, and is now a series I very much consider dead, unless Project 2017 can spark some life back in it, Resident Evil has always done what it has been best known for, while upping the antics a bit for every generation. To me, this new game, is Resident Evil in name only.

PikaLink91 It's definitely RE to me. It has puzzles, great atmosphere, the Baker's seem like great B.O.W.s. We finally got another great survival horror title in RE. And there are connections to previous games.

In my opinion the demo was not implemented nearly as well as it could have been. Core elements of classic Resident Evil are absent in the demo but present in the final game, while some of the demo's interesting features are not included in the final game at all (multiple endings that aren't influenced by a stupidly obvious binary decision). Not to mention all the paranormal stuff in the demo which was stripped from the final game. Capcom developers sort of shot themselves in the foot by turning off old fans not engaged enough to overlook the oddities of the demo and play the final release (which I highly recommend you do, particularly on PSVR as this sort of justifies the first-person perspective).

Its on PC already though, unless you mean the VR aspect. PC wont have VR but most likely will a year after release.

Chumanuma​ PSVR biggest title is this RE 7. If this game was poor then VR face a certain slow death for sure. But this game is amazing. Two or three big AAA title like this surely now make VR a big hit. If u r planning to buy any VR then my suggestion will be to get PSVR. Not HTC or Oculus or any other VR.
