I love you commentaries. Keep up the good work. And I hardly noticed any audio issues. So please keep the commented stuff coming. I’ve learned a lot about the mechanics of this game from your commented videos, that I would have never known without them.
excellent! i could never play as Chris because i found it too hard, both in the 1996 and REmake. on top of that, invisible enemy is pure brainhurting so well done! very impressive and excellent commentary. i enjoy your commentary all the time.
Chris ain't that bad... the two less item slots does suck, he does have to explore more rooms than Jill due to having to find small keys to unlock doors that Jill can lockpick, no skipping the plant 42 fight, and no grenade launcher. But he can take more damage than Jill and has additional opportunities to heal when Rebecca is in the serum room or the chemical room after plant 42.
@@LIONREV7not true, you still have to fight the plant if Richard dies from the snake venom, and you have to have Rebecca make the v-jolt and use it on the roots, but it doesn't kill the plant it only makes it drop Chris, then you still have to fight it.
@@CarcinogenSDA Got it, thanks for the tip. I was shooting the 2 hunters in the cave system next to the elevator and while I was busy with one the other got me.
Nowadays Chris real survivor mode is the only one i enjoy. Jill mode is way too easy with Barry babysiting you and getting the grenade launcher and lockpick. At least Chris is somewhat a challenge.
"You can't see the zombie, but you can see the blood puddles and the blood splatters." BLOOD! It's good that it isn't CHRIS'S BLOOD. HE'S OUR OL' PARTNER, YOU KNOW?
I don't know how players like Carcinogen do these kind of challenges. The constant concentration and nerves to complete this challenge. So much on the line. It amazes me people like Carcinogen can do this repeatedly.
You literally held our hands in the dark, getting through this game with your commentary. It took me years to finally gather the courage to beat it. Thank you. 💪🏾😆
Thank you so much carci! I've been using your runs to help me with real survivor with Jill and Chris, and now you're helping me through invisible enemy! I've been binging a ton of your other no damage runs in my spare time too
They have normal animations. But he spams the movement buttons to cancel the slower stair running animation. Something similar is done in the remake of the second game.
how the heLL do u unLock this mode? i’ve beaten it on normaL (under 5 hours) with JiLL & normaL with Chris. each character maybe 10 times. aLL difficuLties except hard with Chris & no reaL survivaL with either. why isn’t it unLocking?
Picked up this game and did a playthrough as jill and it took 10hrs. Watched your vids and I'm in my fourth playthrough, last run with jill on real survivor was 2 and a half hours. Really upped my game. Your videos are great tutorials and you go into great detail. Thanks so much for your work/help.
Ok so question (and sorry if I sound ignorant for not knowing this) but why arent there any crimson heads in RPD in RE2 or throughout the city in RE3. Why is it only in the mansion for RE1?
at 49:00, the bit you mention with the hunters coming through the windows in that hallway past the save room, they will not jump in until you've collected the yellow gem in the Helmet Key room on top of the stairs.
we passed upon the stairs it said what zombie's said although it wasn't there i shot it in its head which came as some surprise the blood poured from its eyes i wish it'd died alone a long long time ago
@CarcinogenSDA Well I managed to complete it on my second try. Got it beat under 3 & 5 hours, all costumes unlocked, all weapons unlocked, without saving and beat it in invisible mode all in one playthrough. Been a long time coming but I'm finally going to actually get the platinum for this game 🥲
Nice work yet again. I love watching the RE vids you have. You may or may not have much interest in it, but have you ever considered the Dark Souls/Bloodborne series?
That's what i thought at first , but every play you do trains you to know where the enemy is , you only need to memorize every location of enemies and check on reflections and i managed to clear the with both
Okay... Everything you have time to do on the serum run, is that only possible because of the door skip mod? I have done that same run flawlessly several times now, and I fail each time BUT I am on PS4 so no mods.
@@CarcinogenSDA thanks much! New to channel, very much enjoy the content. Especially the Parasite Eve content. I went on a bender and DLed a bunch of retexture mods for RE1 anyway haha; thanks!
I am pretty sure the doorskip mod fucks over everybody that doesn't have it. I've done what you did here on PS4 three times and I can't get the serum to Richard in time.
@@CarcinogenSDA guess I suck or was cutting it extremely close because I followed your exact route and still could not get to Richard in time, ended up doing it another way
pulled from the wiki: "Invisible Enemy" mode is a feature in the 2002 remake of Resident Evil and its HD remaster. It is unlocked after completing Real Survival or completing the game on Normal or Hard difficulty with both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. While playing the mode, all enemies are, as the name suggests, invisible. Completing the mode in under five hours unlocks a congratulatory bonus image, a message from the director, and concepts of unused costumes (see below).[1] The concept was the brainchild of director Shinji Mikami, who thought up the mode as a challenging way to force players into changing their strategy, as well as establishing a more horror-esque environment where the gift of vision does not help.[2]
Oh, you've done it on hard like me, haha! Super! Great gameplay. I'd done it on GameCube, and the movement in that is a bit slower. Still I took some damage, and you didn't. Really, super awesome gameplay!
I see "gamers", the streamers of nowadays, playing RE 2 and RE 3 Remakes, most of them was not even into gaming at all (Sasha Grey), but since those games are more graphical novels (The Last of Resident), it makes for casuals to get views. Now, this and Zero are just graphical upgrades over the GC version, which are great on their on, and I don't see casuals playing around with them. The 2 and 3 remakes are nice but this here and 0 are for people who enjoy Resident Evil.
great run! I've gotta ask, since it's been on my mind lately, are both RE1 scenarios partly canon or is there one that is accepted as more canon than the other? I've always defaulted to Chris being the canon scenario, but I'm not too up to date on RE1 knowledge and how it ties in to the later entries.
Elliott Queen neither is more canon than the other. Capcom should have made saving Barry and Rebecca options in any scenario tbh but both are so non-canonical that they’re canon. weird narrative device.
CarcinogenSDA thanks for replying, man. That is strange narrative speaking. I've been on a big RE kick lately and your videos have been a lot of fun. Finally getting around to beating RE7, so REmake is next for me, so I guess you could say I'm on my own strange narrative beat.
