Hello 👋 how are you doing? Hope you’re having a good day I was dropping a comment when I come across your profile, I liked what you shared , but we are not friends on here . May the lord be with you and your family 🙏🕊
To this beautiful, intelligent lady: I am so sorry this happened to you. Massive crimes were committed to indigenous people and still are! You who are talking about this are doing the right thing, we all need to hear this.
@@b.bailey8244 Why do you lie? Parents could visit their kids if they chose. The bands approved of the schools. Your lies are getting wilder by the day. Or you believe lies told to you. Get educated.
What about Anglican, Methodist, United and Presbyterian Churches and nondenominational organizations that ran far more schools together than what the Catholic church did? Are you not ashamed of them also?

Thank you so much, Elder for your poignant story. Sending love to all survivors. No words, just tears of shame over the atrocities committed to such a beautiful people from mainstream white society.
My dad told us he was in an orphanage and he had chicken pox a nun took a wire brush to his back side he said he was in agony and the sores bled and he had scares on is back from that
Omg that's absolutely evil. Infuriating that these atrocities were committed by " people of god" and in the name of religion. Those people were evil demons and did the opposite of being Christ like. I could go on and on. Sorry he had to endure that physical and psychological pain
You sweet, lovely lady. I am so sorry for all the pain and suffering that you, and the countless men, women, and children endured and still endure. Such unbelievable cruelty and gross injustice! It's TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE! I hope that the entire universe conspires in your favour, and the Great Eternal Spirit supports you in all you do. My hope is that this situation turns around very soon. God bless you my dear.
😢 I'm so sorry this ever happened. Ugh...I cannot believe no one's been prosecuted for these crimes against lil innocent babies and children. I feel so sad for the 1st nations people. I just want peace for them.
It didn't happen, not to the extent the victim industry would like you to believe. Child abuse has always been a crime and some people in some schools were convicted. Today these cases are wildly magnified to garner a never-ending stream of money from taxpayers to lawyers and their aides.
it happened to those in the states, specifically Michigan in the 60's.. The nuns never denied or demanded a cessation of speaking the anishnaebemowin. Just as well as most didn't speak the traditional tongue.. The student body was barely over 1/2 real Indian. Today we are mixed bloods of most 1/4 in my tribe. Today I see Truth is they were some mean bitches, save but 1,2. But what is notable is the hate for some as I. Never understood the job choice, never understood their motivation.BITCHES !! I often wonder what others went through up to today. But they did put in our heads, my head this silly, sad notion of good jesus. Jesus is impossible and as evil as the nuns. And that's not hard to say,as it was/is my reality
Those days where the hell were all the social workers🤬 of course they were probably in it to Christian hypocrites use God for forgiveness I got jacked up but a wire clothes hanger at boarding school back in the 70's
First of all I bring my sadness and regrets that you all had to be gone through this Disgusting, Inhuman, Racist and White Supremacy!!!!!! I am myself from an Island where we have been Slave from the White supremacy!!!!!! I Hope today you as a Nation who own this Land as Canadian will find your Peace!!!!! All my Support to you all and the feeling that you have been gone through!!!! The WORLD is watching! 🇨🇦💜
Hearing and seeing a sweet elder lady recount childhood trauma is worse than just reading about it. f this had happened to either of my grandmothers in their childhoods I would not forgive it if I learned of it. I'd rather it happen to me than my grandparents or parents, and I'm sure everyone feels like that about their elders. I think this might be why elders are looked down on overall now in mainstream north American culture compared to other cultures around the world including of first gen immigrants who just came here .. a sort of curse for a country which broke so many families and childhoods intentionally.
Like all Indigenous people just bad stories my people Revolt of 1680 my people ran to Lincoln New Mexico my grandparents we’re the Regulars in Lincoln all my grandparents are all marked anglos including my parents and me I am a Geronimo how can I be anglo my grandmothers and grandfathers were Geronimos never enrolled we’re all anglos critical race theory There’s more but I hold my tongue
The residential schools were no different than any other Roman Catholic School at the time, strict, cold and quick to hand out a beating/strapping. I do feel for the ones who it was very hard for but “White” Catholic kids lived through these schools everyday and as a society we need to start having the hard conversations because for too long the “White Man” has been the scapegoat but it’s over with now and we need to realize what the writing on the wall was for the Natives, alcoholic parents that were early in their drinking life and getting worse. The parents tried hard to get their kids into these schools and if you look at all the pics you’ll see a physically healthy and very light skinned Native children and they mostly didn’t show up to the schools in good health. I understand they were awful places but the narrative being pushed is a systemic attack on Native Americans but it was exactly the opposite and they were put into the same school system as The White kids except with a majority first nations attendance and even better educators (intelligence wise I’m not saying they had punishment easier) as the government really wanted it to be a success story, everyone did really.
@@hmckenzie9444 They were how am I to know names of teachers, but they wanted the students to be success stories and get good jobs in society and so they needed their best. It’s all victim mentality and anti White racism and government agenda pushes it on certain groups to cause divides and certain groups play their part to a T.
Getting so sick of the lucrative victim industry trotting out these 'victims'. A good story can earn a lot of money for the lawyers. No doubt that a lot of abuse took place but what has that got to do with today's taxpayers? Go after the perps. Countless apologies and tens of thousands of dollars to each former student never seem to be enough. Move on. Time to end this scam.
Are you really so stupid as to think you can fool everybody with your scams? I've noticed FN's enjoy their toys and houses. They don't want to go back to their way of life when existence was a daily struggle. You're welcome for the fact that you are not in the stone age, although I had nothing to do with that just as I had nothing to do with your great grandfather having a tough time at school (assuming he went because most fn kids did not attend res school). See, I know more than you.
