The cave fire erupted in Santa Barbara, California overnight and scorched more than 3,000 acres forcing mandatory evacuations. #ABCNews #SantaBarbara #CaveFire
Leonard Washington - You are 100% correct ! Jane Tande, videotaped a small, white plane flying low, in the hills. She recorded the fires, the plane was starting, with their lasers !!!!!! She is too afraid to report to police... cause she knows exactly how corrupt law enforcement is...
Someone "lignts" most of the fires. Flicking a butt out the window during green/damp/calm conditions normally won't spread or even ignite. During brown/dry/windy conditions, the SAME flick will result in a 100 acre fire in just a few minutes. It's not global warming; it's Cal. climate. Class dismissed.
You don't find it weird these fires are happening to just cailforionia you know how much it takes to start a fire out here in Georgia a 3x3 fire pit would take you 30 mins to start here lol Im wondering if they are happening because they want people to leave California after all cailforionia probably has the most illegals in the United states and they want Americans out that way they can clean up the nasty mess of illegals
Need to bring back strategic logging permits that decades ago created breaks in forestry. Activist and current leaderships let it burn policys are failing. 30 years ago a prior they had much better fire prevention in the state.
@@merbst oh course your one of does people that believe that the fires are because of climate change you realize how many more places around the u.s would be on fire if they did not have controlled burns.
You don't do "strategic logging" in chaparral. It doesn't work, and mastication is also proven ineffective. The areas where your strategic logging would possibly work are areas that are burning less than historic norms, so there is still the problem of existing dead and down. In other words, logging is a miniscule part of a much larger problem driven mostly by new housing in wilderness areas (WUI), fire suppression, and climate change.
Cut the insults.... people are losing their homes....and most of us in the comment sections seem to feel content throwing insults....Cmon Man....Happy Thanksgiving....be kind enough to be grateful! And help if you can. PLEASE. Eric Underwood class of 81 Downey High
I grew up in Santa Barbara/Goleta and I well remember the Coyote Fire that was in the 60s. I remember several things first the water was shut off so we couldn't go to school. Next the Boaray Bombers and that reddish pink fire retardant was everywhere. And third this was the 60s....communications between responders like fire, police, and Medical ( no paramedics then) was coordinated by tv and radio. My Dad was a radio DJ so he was gone for three days helping to coordinate this fire. It's listed on a Google search as one of the top 20 biggest fires in CA.
Don't forget to contact your Church to see if there is anything in short supply like water, clothes, food or diapers. It's about to be Thanksgiving and people are losing their homes.
Our weather is different from the rest of the nation. Back in 1987, we had a hot season that lasted from June to November. The same thing is happening this year. The rainy season should be coming soon, though.
Omg. God please help them all. I hope that everyone makes it out ok. My brother is over there. I cannot even start to imagine what it feels like to be awoke by an emergency like a fire and not go into anxiety attacks. May everyone be safe and may pplz home be safe too for it's not easy in this weather or season to loose your home NEVERTHELESS anything. Wth is going on w Cali? It's like hell over there... literally. Oh. Be safe....EVERYONE! 😵🥺😢
Couldn't be the high number of transients (how PC) that you have camping out all over the state... Having campfires, not caring if they extinguish properly or burn down half the state...
This is just a horrible fire that has plagued California. This occurs way too much to be called a natural fire. This has to be done by arsonists or a singular arsonist. Once again to the Santa Barbara, CA you are in people's prayer. To all of the animals that are kept on the premises to get them rescued as well. To all of the wild animals and birds and many wildlife that is also killed and harmed. May God help you as well as us.
Regardless of how they start, fires become unmanageable very quickly due to, not only the winds, but due to the amounts of materials that feed the fires. California used to clean out dead undergrowth as well as cut down sections for fire breaks. All fires have embers but when small and/or dead underbrush, the small pieces turn to embers and float igniting other areas. I think all the government officials that stopped the fire safety procedures should be held accountable for the deaths and destruction caused by these fires!
I'm born and raised in L.A we never seen so many fires like this before I believe there's poor forest management going on, I think there protecting animal habitats and not raking the trees I like squirrels but people's safety first
@Tom Jenkins climate change has nothing to do with this California has always been on fire it won't stop either because there is no controlled burns and also I'm not a denire I'm just saying this has noting to do with climate change its Californias fault.
For the price of one nuclear ballistic missile, we could have a national wild fire fighting force. It would include 300 helicopters. 50 water bombers. and 1500 fire fighters on call. We should be able to drown any fire anywhere, very quickly. No...we need the nukes. So glad we the people have a say in how our money is spent.
I live there so i have firsthand experience with all of this. Yall need to shut the hell up about this being intentionally done. it may have been started by a person accidentally, but theres no “agenda” behind this.
Why not use desalination and freakin use the water to setup forest sprinkler system or something. Like fuck the car emissions these fires are just burning all year long like wtf all the innovations and a fire can’t be put out something is sketchy about that
THE INSURANCE COMPANIES CHARGE PEOPLE I N CITIES FOR THE LOSE FROM THE FIRES BY RAISING HOME INSURANCE AND THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE FIRE'S. THE PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN THESE FIRE AREA'S NEED TO BE FORCED TO TAKE OUT MORE FIRE INSURANCE SO THE BURDEN DOESN'T PASS ON TO OTHER HOME OWNER'S WHO CHOSE TO LIVE IN THESE FIRE DANGER AREA'S.
Because many people that live there aren't....very bright. Like most area near major cities. But California is full of morons, just look at it's large population, the highest in the country. (Not saying everyone in California is an idiot obviously, most people are normal, good people)
@@fmj1337 Funny how liberals are more educated compared to conservatives yet you imply you are the smart one- ignoring the fact that people who boast to be smart are statistically far more likely to be below average intelligence.
@@nathanielmathews2617 I see you're attempting to belittle me and call me an idiot conservative. Nice try but you failed. First of all, how would you know I'm not a liberal? How do you know I'm not actually a resident of California? The main point of my previous comment is that California consists of many idiots, considering how such a large, diverse amount of people live there. It's the most populated state in the US, and combined with the accurate reputations it has for its gangs, bad drivers, the trashy reputations that Hollywood has, Compton, watts, etc, there are, indeed, probably the most idiots in the country. Most people in California are great people, but its large population along with the accurate stereotypes mean there are a lot of idiots that live there. Same with New York and every other major city....
@@nathanielmathews2617 by the way, most liberals I've met are very uneducated compared to conservatives on average. You ever talked to one of the thousands, if not millions of liberal college girls? The ones that protest about things they know absolutely nothing about. The ones that literally don't believe in the first amendment
@@fmj1337 Good job resorting to biased anecdotes instead of a substantive argument. I inferred you were conservative based on a hate for California and immediately resorting to using intelligence as an argument like conservatives usually do. Over 60% of college graduates are liberal, they are statistically guaranteed to be smarter whether you like it or not. And no, it isn't just gender studies bullshit, this expands across all degrees including STEM because most conservative ideas fail against serious scrutiny. Conservatism tends to fail with critical thinking, hence why in Texas there was a period of time where officially schools were supposed to limit critical thinking and focus on just jamming kids with information instead of teaching them how to learn information from their environment. Also, I very rarely find people anti-first amendment, most people that claim they are just believe that you should never have consequences for your speech, however that is not and should not be the case. If you say racist shit, people can speak out against you and if you get fired for being racist, that is just a consequence for your speech. Protests are not anti-free speech, they are simply against what is being said and making their voices heard as a means to fight speech via speech. Also why in the hell do you immediately go to college girls? Probably because you still think tumblr as the haven of liberalism instead of actually recognizing it for what it is you need to intentionally dumb people down just so you can give a coherent argument.
Rev_9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
People built their homes right in the middle of fire country and now they want to blame arsonists? Try blaming county planners and the developers who pay them.
Another stupid ABC News exaggeration. Fire season will not last until end of the year. FIre season will be over Wednesday as 2-3 inches of rain is on the way.
Another Fire. How convenient! A true man of God predicted California will Burn! His name..Dimitri Deuterman..in 1984 he had come from Communist Romania after spending 14 yrs. in prison and being tortured for his Christian beliefs..he miraculously came to America to California which at that time he asked God, "why did you send me here, this is a Sodom n Gomorrah"! His testimony is on RU-vid. It's amazing n his grandson had to interpret for him..if anyone cares to hear what this man had to say..he even predicted America would be invaded from South America. 🙏ers to all the people and firefighters and the poor innocent animals. This is just horrible!😢
Firefighting methods & machines can't put these fires out. With magnet-to-magnet motors, 1000gal tanks, nozzles & can MIST large areas, "Fat Boy" hovercraft tankers can fly to the ground and bounce off trees to kill hot spots with the least water. These are 4500-5500hp class machines the power head separate, useful for SAR in mountains, bounce off cliffs, forest restoration work was the first inspiration. Then, with fire-net drones 120x60ft each to catch flares and tankers both sides of the firefront & comm/thermal drones for all-weathers, all-winds -> you can put them out. No funding, a squadron of 50 Fat Boys a few bucks to banksters, tough love on small biz loans works really well keeping things burning. When the central banksters are jailed we can get back to reality, not till then, nobody's working on this, nobody's going to fund it. Meanwhile, try these, a magnet-powered generator having a half-century no-inputs warranty, the magnets 90% power in 1000yrs, the 1-Mw/1300hp unit fits a container to ship anywhere, military-spec, sparkless. Flip substations off-grid, cars on up that never need refueling or recharging for the LIFETIME of the owner. Bleeding edge, globally I found only 2 companies are ready for assembly-line design, the long-term R&D done: technokontrol.com/en/current-projects/generator.php & infinitysav.com/magneticgenerator No funding is intended by the banksters, that's a problem I can't solve. So, you WEALTHY do it, I'm on fixed income, my job is done and the results ready for CAD/CAM and JIT ... $124bn goes into REPO by the Fed each day to insolvent banksters in one day, more to come. The strong easterlies are from a major shift in jetstream patterns, cold is confined by OCEANS too warm, so, the planet balances equatorial overheating by increasing the volume of cold air over LAND. This causes the extreme Easterlies, they aren't Santa Ana's, 90% of excess heat gained goes into the oceans.
