This is absolutely gorgeous Suzana, love the way the pigment spread in the resin. I am a total beginner and I was a bit suspect when you poured the line of black, but it moved beautifully and was just the perfect separation of colours. Thanks for the inspiration.
At first I wasn't sure about the black, it looked so harsh when you put it on, but then your experience and skill showed even stronger. You know your products, how to work with them and push their limits. The final result is stunning. It's earthy and organic-feeling. Something I don't see often in resin art pieces.
You can’t do anything wrong with art, it is all exciting and experimental work helps us grow with our art. Well done Susana, in my opinion you never fail. This is lovely work, the colours are magical. I would love to have your creative brain. You are an inspiration. Raine.
That color combination is absolutely gorgeous!! I'm so glad you mentioned how to reuse the pipettes. I've been reluctant to use the ones I have because I always thought that they are a little too expensive to only be able to use them once.
Hey Suzana loved the grey pigment and what it created. I find magenta pinks and turquoise heat up very quickly before I get chance to pour them, I love your combination of colours in this geode. Thought it was a new tutorial but see it's about a year old I am itching to try a geode, Petra does some amazing ones just waiting for my Crystal's to grow, but love your tip about bracelets...cheap as chips on our markets here. I'm sure I have some old necklaces that I could breakup, not a waste when used in a forever piece of artwork.....watch this space 😁😘😘 much love from Debs in Spain xxx
Oh my goodness!! This is THE coolest thing I have ever seen!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING about this-the colors, the stones, the glitter and the high gloss of the resin! I have never worked with resin or these pigments. I’m new to your site. Do u have a tutorial for beginners about resin-safety, mixing, materials...? Thank you! I want to learn to create something like this👏👏👏
Love your work. Im learning a lot from you as im going to move from acrylic to resin or at least at first cover some of my pours with resin Keep up the great work. From Canada
"begginers technique tutorial" I expected to see or hear a list of materials, as a beginner I don't have idea of types of resins, pigment, and so on...
C’est magnifique, et j’aime votre façon de « jouer »avec ce qui se produit, d’aller dans le sens choisi par la matière... J’espère pouvoir un jour faire quelque chose de semblable. Encore Bravo!!!
Hello love your videos and I have just come accros this style of art work and I really want to try however I cant find so after you finish do you add a seal to coat the top?
Hey Suzana I was wondering if you’ve ever used masterCast 1-2-1 resin,as I’ve just ordered some and did not know what resin would be good,it had some good reviews but I was wondering if you knew about it or have tried it if you get it there in Australia? And what resin do you prefer?
What a lovely art ! every time you added resin it changed the whole look WOW ! I'm a new subbie, and I have a question ...if I may ? this 2 part resin... is it completely safe for outdoor use ? I'm going to make some yard art items using glass, sand, shells and glass glitter and wondered if I could possibly use this type of resin ? Your work is so beautiful !
That is a big WOW, I would interested to look into the cost of the 3 color pigments you used, the purple, blue and the "runaway" grey, that grey is awesome! The pour is out of this world........Thank you!
i kept thinking, if you used black in the center, you'd have an eye. it was beautiful. didnt care for so many gems in the middle.before you added the gems, it looked like a feathery flower. but its still very pretty
Suzana, thank you for posting your art work! I appreciate your talent and the colors/pigments in this particular video are exactly what I’m looking for to remodel my countertops and for a coffee table top for a metal frame my daughter made me (I plan to add some crystal gems around the outer edges of that project). My questions for your personal & professional opinions and those of other experienced artists in epoxy are; 1:Can I put another layer of clear resin on top and if so when? 2: I don’t prepare or eat directly off my countertops but should I use a special resin FDA approved or something? 3: What resin allows to heat again? 4: How do I determine the amount of resin per area? Sorry for so many questions! I do appreciate yours and anyone’s time to answer though! Thanks again Suzana you’re awesome!
You should look into the color shifting pigments! It comes in a powder pigment and it usually has 4-5 different colors. Whichever way you look at the piece, you can see a different color or a nice mixture of colors. Check it out on eBay! They have "trial" sizes of 5 grams for around $3. I also bought some other pigments from China for hella cheap lol... I do have a question, does silicone work with resin? All I want is a few cells!!!! The very FIRST time I messed with resin art, I got some really amazing "cells" or they really looked like jellyfish. Since then, nothing..... help me 😱😱😱😂😂😂😢😢😢👍 Amazing piece of art as always!!!
You did a very nice video I was not able to catch where you got your gems from your real crystals and I do not see a link so if you could let me know I would greatly appreciate where you got the crystals like that in bulk
What kind of pigment powders do you use I assume they are a mica but are they a specific type of mica like automotive, soap making or ??? I think your piece is beautiful no matter what others think, you're very creative and you think outside the box! :)
I live this pour I think it was the mention of Amathus that caught my eye as I’m not into acrylic pours 🤔🤔 To make it easier for your setup of resin get some pumps that can be placed on each of the large bottles, 😹😹I wish it was only 30°c but we hit 48°c yesterday and due to hit it again today🙀 so it’s working in the house which I hate rather be in the workshop but no air-con yet.
Angela Herremans 48 degrees!? We had that one time last month after having all week of 40 -45 and it was horrible! Thank you so much for the tip. Duh, why didn't I think of that?🤔 lol. I do acrylic pours and traditional art in winter but Love resin! Thanks again for watching ⚘💗💖❤💓
Suzana Dancks lol I know we have a whole week of it this week they say it will brake by Friday oh I hope so I am stuck indoors and hating it 😹😹😹but have gotten a lot of beading done as well as YouTubing 😹😹😹I find it so interesting at what pops up on my suggestion lists 🙀 that’s how I found yours I have looked at a few of yours and was thinking of seeing if I can do this for my dollhouse might be interesting to see if it can be miniaturised 😹😹😹 I’m glad you like the tip one of the wood turners I watch does resin work as well and he put pumps on his A and B mixes lol
Great job. In the future, don't move the gemstones, once you've laid them down. That way, you leave the natural colour and shine. Also glitter is not necessary when using real gemstones.
In reference to the last comment from...."Terrie"...I happen to think this is more authentic to natural colors and does very much look like a crystal rock cut in half. I think it is totally beautiful. So if you don't have constructive criticism....what good are your words? By adding the crystals you've made a drusy crystal! I'm glad for the people that are not afraid to experiment in their arts - it is always about learning and trying new things. Keep those videos coming! Thank you for your creative courage Suzana! xoox
Thank you so much. That's so lovely of you to say. I haven't even seen that person's comment and now I'm glad that I missed it.lol. I really appreciate your supportive words. 💜💛💚💙🤗
Suzana, I don't think Terrie's comment was so terrible, and she complimented your work. She just didn't like this particular one. Alice K is just making trouble for no reason, like a person who passes on gossip hurting everyone's feelings. It's OK for people to not like every single thing we do. Doesn't detract from the joy we have in our own work or the intrinsic beauty of what has been made.
Hi Penny, if you can kjeep the cat out of the room at all times, it's safe for her/him. To protect yourself from toxic fumes, you need to have your work area super ventilated with good air flow while working with resin. Respirator is advisable although I don't use it as I can't create with it on my face! 😉
You scared the daylights out of me when you put the black lines down. After you heated it up, it still looked like it had been ruined. BUT!! Being the awesome professional artist that you are.... you added the texture by 'stitching' the line up. Thoughts of the final product... absolutely STUNNING! The black really added tons of dimension to it. I love it!! I would love to know what pigment products you used. Also, where do you get your boards? Are they wood or what exactly and how do you prepare them for your pourings? I am dying to try doing this! Sorry, but one more question... I see you have a few different torches or heat guns. Could you walk us through the ones you have and why/how you use them. Sorry... but if I am going to try this... I want to learn from the master herself! ♥ Thanks Suzana!
VickiEs Designs Hi Vicki, thank you so much for your wonderful review and your thoughts are absolutely appreciated. The pigments that I've used in this piece are my own line " Le'Rez Expressions". You can find them here if interested: www.suzanadancks.com/online-store/Le-Rez-Mica-Pigments-c27926804 I have 3 torches of diferent size and I use them depending on the size of my artwork. The heat gun is just a cheap one from the hardware store. Hope this answered your questions. 💜💛💙💙❤
I also thought it looked like an eye!! Just needed a pupil in the center. Would have loved that! However the grey after a while spreaded too much in my opinion, shame... it looked so tripy when you just poured it !
Liz London I can tell you what I use. For the powder pigments, I have jacquard Pearl Ex. The board, your best bet is at the big name hardware store. I know that you can purchase some on eBay but I haven't seen them that big,10" is usually the largest. Priming the piece I will either use Gesso or just the spray paint primer. You may need to do some sanding and possibly a second coat. You may also check out artiesue.co.au (or something like that lol) and she's got some really nice powder pigments, resin tints, and the resin inks. If you don't live in Australia, you may still need to contact Sue Rosenberg directly to order from her store.
PUKA & MALALA The stones are real Amethyst chrystal. You can find them on ebay if you search crystal chips. I got them from a bracelet that I bought cheap at a second hand store.
Looks nothing like a geode how about me giving you the key ... If you would recess the Crystal where the would it would look 3D because yours looks like a seed like a big purple peach pit . and not so round they have points where the Crystal's get closer to the outside of the stone if you look how your paint moves or stretches toward the outside let your crystals move just like the paint. And I'm not telling you what to do lord knows I'm not no artist but I am a geologist . I just heard you saying at the beginning of the film you said this was your second attempt . I just assumed the first one did not look right eather . Please let me know if this helps I'm sure that if you will try it you will be delighted with the result's . just thought I could help ..... God bless you and yours and have a wonderful day ! Ps. Even if it did not look like a geode it was BEAUTIFUL . Looking forward to hearing from you .
