Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am trying out Let'sResin Resin.
This is a new product from Let'sResin and I was sent some to try and hopefully make a video about.
I have never used any of Let'sResin resins, so I had nothing to compare it to. But I have used plenty of different resin brands to understand what is good and what is not.

You have been so helpful. I was about to send all my resin stuff I just bought to start making resin jewelry because I didn’t know I could resin year around. 😢I was going to repurchase it in the summer when I could work in my hot garage. 🥵I am just shocked I found your channel and it answered all my questions. I don’t have to wait till summer, I don’t have to work in a hot 🥵garage and I don’t have to worry about toxic 🤢fumes. 😮What’s more surprising, I had the same heat mat, the same resin, lots of stuff. Now I can keep all my stuff and start projects. I am definitely going with the resin you demonstrated, so if you would please keep a resin link in all your post so I can buy it when I need it from you as an affiliate. I noticed you put a plastic lid on your mat, that was a helpful tip too. Did you get any sweat from the lid? You are amazing, Keep bringing us helpful information please. ❤

Thank you for this comment 😀😀 I’m glad it has helped you 😀 I use a lid to cover resin while it’s curing, but if it’s on a heat mat during the cold weather then I make sure it’s has a vent or it will sweat and that’s not good. All resin is not good while curing and fumes are still fumes. I would always wear a mask and keep it in a separate room. I am just saying that you can develop an allergic reaction to it so best stay away if you can. Hey Wendy I also have used let's resin resin and it is good but I also use liquid diamonds and in my opinion they're just as great if not better then let's resin just because liquid diamonds is less expensive Have a happy day

Almost a year later now, wondering if you still use this product and do you feel the same way about it. Do you do any deeper molds with it? What was that white fibrous material that you put in the bottom of the letters before pouring? That turned out cool looking!!!

Thank you 😀😀 Yes I do still use it and still absolutely love it ❤️❤️❤️ Let’sResin make a deep pour resin which is great for deeper projects. The silicone druzy was the inlay that I used. The resin is fantastic for me😀😀

That’s great Wendy! I bought some Designer epoxy last summer because it was a thin viscosity and it’s been good.. until now.. the part B has suddenly started to yellow significantly. It’s a 2-1 resin so, it isn’t terribly noticeable yet. But, I did add a little blue alcohol ink to it last time. What is the working time with Let’s resin? I typically need as long as I can get.😂

It stated 30-35 minutes If I remember correctly. The only thing you can do with the yellowing is add colour I’m afraid. All resin yellows over time. It’s best kept out of the sunlight and at room temperature, but it does yellow 😞😞 Some yellow quicker than others though. 🤷‍♀️😊😀

@@Toonpish Yeah I keep it in a closet where the door is closed. It’s about 8 months old but, I still think it shouldn’t yellow that badly in that length of time. Especially because it has been in a dark closet, unless I’m pouring and even then I put it away right after I’ve mixed. I have other resins that I bought prior to Designer epoxy that haven’t yellowed that much so, I don’t think I’ll buy it again. Jim Sprague uses it and loves it but, all of his pieces are all heavily dosed with mica and he uses the Deep Pour which I also bought and it hasn’t yellowed as much as their Pro Series. Out of the several resins I’ve tried so far the Unicone has been the best. But, I’m still looking for that Unicorn🦄resin that has low viscosity, a 1-1 mix, an hour or more working time, no bubbles and non yellowing.😂 I’m hard to please!🤣🤣Thanks for the video Wendy.. absolutely no bubbles is a big deal! I might try it.. sometimes it’s a longer working time than it states. I do love their alcohol inks and molds.

I do love their products as I don’t think they charge the earth for quality 😊 It sounds like you do want that all singing and dancing resin 😂😂 but why not 🤷‍♀️ We all look for the best and that’s what makes companies work hard to get better products. Maybe one day you will find your unicorn 🦄

I LOVE Lkkp j😊I ET'S RESIN products… the ONLY thing they put out that I have tried that I do not like is their little electric hand drill… that things SUCKS… it’s not even Really theirs! They got one of the drills that are all over Amazon, took it and put a three jaw Chuck on it and call it good… well, it sucks… it aggravates me because I bought one and it was the same exact drill I got from a different t seller… it just had a bigger Chuck in it! For the first time in my resin journey with Let's Resin, I wrote a 1 star review on Amazon… but their resin is AWESOME… and their uv resin is my favorite! Over all, their products are top notch!

What is the best resin for deep pours like the dragon egg.?

Wayne I can’t answer that. The reason is a deep pour resin practically always goes in the pressure pot and therefore won’t have bubbles. However if you don’t have a pressure pot then you would do better using a longer cure resin like resincolour deepcast. If you are in a country other than the uk You will have different options 😀👍❤️ I really hope that helps 😀😀😀

You should try Puduo resin, it has no bubbles either if you let it sit for 5 minutes. It’s very clear. I love let’s resin products.

Yes I do. But….. All resins yellow overtime 🤔🤷‍♀️ And paintings last a long time. 🤔 If you do, then keep it out of sunlight, it will last longer 😀👍❤️

They say there is no odour but there is a slight one and even if you can’t smell it, it doesn’t mean it’s not in the air, please people use your safety equipment. I use Lets Resin deep mold resin

Thanks for showing this. I got some of the dye (ink? They call it dye so I don't know) I haven't used it yet and now it looks like I might be ordering some of their resin in the future. Love the druzy bits on the letters. They turned out amazing. I wonder if some kind of tacky glue would work to hold the silicone druzy in place and not let the resin seap under it. Not sure how it would effect the silicone or resin but it might help.

Druzy is a silicone inlay with a pattern on it 😀😀 There are plenty of types around these days but this one makes it look like crystal 😀😀

It would depend if you are breathing the fumes and if you are hyper sensitive to it. You could still get a reaction from it. But it less of a must. However if you bring pieces inside to cure, they will still give off vapour while curing. I hope that helps 😀👍

Wow, How long does it take for the resin to fully cure to a rock hard state without any flex and unable to mark it with your fingernail?

Roughly 24-72 hours depending on a few factors. The more you colour it, the temperature and humidity and a couple of other things. But all resin carries on curing for 3weeks and is not fully cured until after that. Hope this helps 😀😀😀

Hi bubbles can be your worst enemy or your best friend,,, depending on the project,,, if doing a sealife project it can look great for a water bubble scene,,, I made a paperweight sphere a year or two ago and it was supposed to be a Galaxy effect which it was but had a lot of big bubbles high and low in the sphere but it added dimension to it and looked like clear alien space ships, so thought actually its not bad at all, no cracks in it just a story line!!! Of friendly aliens in a Galaxy that resin is truly awesome, it does what it says not many resins like that around,,,, I've had problems with thick UV resin when it comes out of the bottle🥴,,and wasn't sure what to do about it ,,and found it got quite hot, 🔥😬🙄so tryed again by putting the piece in an old saucepan, as its cold, ❄ and curing that way and it worked,,,, 😃but had a smell to it as most of them do,,except the let's resin one,, wish I had known that they did that resin,, I would most definitely have bought it anyway sorry for long comment, Stay Safe and well ,,,,,😘
