I really like that we're seeing a rendition of Megatron that's trying the redemption thing. One that's decided that he's done with war, that the old cause is no longer relevant. One that actually sees value in humans, and will fight to protect them. It's a daring character choice that we haven't really seen before.
Now that this is mentioned, it really does harken back to animated megatron. The way his fusion cannon splits for the copter mode sorta feels like a reference to the canceled upgraded triple changer animated Megs (I still really wish we had gotten that, the the prototype looked awesome).
@@porakiyadraekojin3390 You actually can, there's renders of him you can 3D print and although you'll have to assemble it yourself you too can have a Marauder Megatron figure in your Animated collection and it's fully transformable too.
Stellar review! Flipable V-TOL blades & a rotation waist would have been sweet. Overall, the figure still looks cool for an 'evolution-style' display featuring various Deluxe-sized Megatrons over the decades.
I'd personally go with the show version of the cannon myself because it looks more natural, the flat end looks like it has an area that an imaginary energy blast could emerge from, and it is how it is in the show. this would be if I actually own the figure which I don't
I typically like Megatron as a Voyager class and up figure because he always looked different in every major show in the 2000s, so it doesn't feel like I'm getting the same figure multiple times. That's my biggest complaint about Megatron since Prime. It's great that they're finally giving him a different look than the old silver block man G1 style megatron has been all throughout the last decade. However, i feel they're playing it too safe by making Megatron his G1 self with some ugly plane parts on him. I hope they'll go all out next time
Balt I have a serious question are his Knees loose Because it appears that some figures are the same quality in plastic and Cyberverse and my bumblebee and Optimus both have very loose knees
I'm hoping a Chinese 3P company will do an upscaled version of him. Which they probably won't. I just cannot accept the evergreen kid's cartoon now has Bumblebee at the same height with OP and Megs. I just can't deal with that.
What annoys me with this is that it doesn't seem like one can turn the propellers to make it a proper v-tal? Well, if you extend the arms to point straight out, but doesn't feel right?
The figure looks cool, I'm not big on the animation of the show. And is Megatron a good guy? Anyway it's ok currently I'm trying to focus on studio series, some legacy and also adventuring into 3rd part when my bank account allows me to lol. It really is a great time to be a transformers fan/collector with so many options available
According to what I’ve read, yes Megatron is a good guy working with the Autobots. Kinda odd to see Megs as a good guy but I suppose this is inspiration from Prime’s storyline where Megatron disbands the Decepticons
Megatron is a good guy in the show, and actually served alongside the mom around 15 years prior to the show. There's hints to a "Battle of the Bay" where Lt. Malto (the mom) and her infantry platoon fought alongside Megatron against deceptions. That said, he's not exactly GHOST's biggest fan, believing their methods and control over the deceptions that are captured to be horrible (as he tells Optimus, "this is not freedom"). But when the chips are down, he's solidly on the side of humanity for the simple reason that it's also the best chance for survival now that the transformers on earth can't connect back to Cybertron.
@@scottsummers5994 Fair enough and it does take awhile to get going but by the end I was enjoying it and there are some returning VAs from Prime like Daran Norris and Steve Blum. I just like this new version of Megatron. He's changed though he's not afraid of voicing his displeasure at how GHOST treats his former troops.
Wow, the show is so bad that even the figures are this bad. Damn... Well this is what happens when people go woke go broke. Other than that, LOVE your other videos. Really helpful in deciding transformers toys.
@@FoxyPercival714 Depends on you really. If you're gonna bring up Nightshade I'm not exactly going to be very receptive. It was an awkward introduction but otherwise I'm fine with it.
