As someone with a background in art... wow these guns have so much charm. There's a lot of greeble but at the same time it just fits. From a gameplay balance perspective, man these guns have a lot of capacity and very fast reloads. The upgrades are hit or miss i think, but i havent played this in ages. A return for this game would be really nice, perhaps with some more intense inspiration from things like Hunt or similar challenging games. Then again i remember the game being power trip focused, so maybe not. Just rambling at this point lol
God what i wouldn't give for a modern Survival horror of this series, I love the setting, the Chimera are such a cool foe, and the gore oh the gore of watching a long legs flaying through the air after being killed and turning into gore mid air
Solid game series that sadly had a big consistency problem. R1: Timesplitters/Halo style run and gun. R2: CoD4/Gears/Half Life 2 hybrid. R3: mix of R1 and 2. Plus the story is all over the place. R1's was basic but solid. R2 got WAY too big for its britches, such that R3 was always gonna be disappointing no matter what. And R3's story is... Fine. It's not total garbage, it's not amazing. It's just obvious the writers wanted to make 3 the last one and were in a rush. Where these games succeed IMO are the weapon and alien designs. Nothing less than expected from the Ratchet and Clank folks!
It's an alien invasion game where a homogenous alien race called the Chimera invade earth in the 1950s to add humanity to their caste. You usually play the part of a resistance fighter against the aliens, using their tech to fight back. It only ever came out on playstation games, it's basically Sony's answer to Gears of War
I think this game about alien who colonized earth million years ago, and build large number of housing called conversion tower. But this alien fought war with another alien, and forced to abandoned earth, deactived their tower. The aliens returned to earth in 1900 and discovered that human become the "owner" of planet earth, so the alien decided to reclaim it former colony by war, extermination, and changing human into human alien hybrid started from russia to western europe, asia, and america
It looks like a simple reload. Probably hitting a release lever. But the animation is done in an odd way. I always had the head cannon where it reloads like the M14 in Black Ops 1
Jesus that M5A2 reload, why do games insist on reloading weapons at Mach 10000, God forbid the player has to be strategic and careful with their shots, they might get bored or something 🙄
In game development you tune the reload speed of weapons to the type of gameplay being offered. In this particular game, enemies are fast, aggressive, and numerous almost in all scenarios. They can easily overwhelm you. Short reload times keeps things fair for the player.
