Not just that, but when the bullets travel, you can see that they are in fact not bullets, but rather miniature rocket-propelled grenades, just like in the lore!
It's never fully explained what the spinning cylinder is actually on primaris guns, it could serve for cooling (on energy/heat based weapons) or it could be an autoloader (for bolt firing weapons), or it could be just there to spin for amusement/chagrin, it's anyone's guess.
@@ivanivanovic5586 my personnal interpretation is that is some kind of mechanism that absorb part of the recoil because it seem to spin after the firing. Got nothing to prove it but it's what i think.
Oh.. these guns DAKKA good. They DAKKA very good - Canon lore for functioning weapon sounds and mechanics are usually up to the artist to interpret (for the more “fiddly” bits like R.O.F, ammunition capacity, fire effect..) understanding what the weapons do is easy) I hope these become the staple for what the guns should be like in action.
In a way though, they are quite different and fill roles of different weapon categories in other games. For example the ones on the Tactical: Bolt Carbine - SMG Auto Bolt Rifle - Assault rifle Bolt Rifle - battle/automatic rifle Heavy Bolt Rifle - SAW/light machinegun Stalker Bolt Rifle - DMR
Boring Primaris are boring. Where are the missile launchers, the flamers, the power axes, the assault marines with lightning claws, the option for the beaky helmet. Why can't we make a proper Raven Guard or Space Wolf. Why is it Cadians and not some unknown guard regiment. It's all so fucking dull.
These guns are cool, but the lack of a vengeance launcher or any missile launcher is kinda disappointing. I hope Saber will add them in the future for the game.
GW seems to have forced them to exclusively use shitmarine gear so they can advertise their most overpriced kits, so I doubt we'll see any decent heavy or special weapons.
@@asteroidrules Is there any truth to this? Because this reeks of being GW wanting to sell dolls. Like this is Primaris Ultramarines with their boring weapons, and the guardmens are of course Cadians, it doesnt get more vanilla or boring than this.
@@michaelhansen2309 There is pretty much never going to be a way to know for sure, but you would have to be really naive to think otherwise. We lost the chance to ever have another Space Marine game about actual Space Marines. It's over. 10 BOLTER VARIATIONS. Boltgun will be the last one ever so you better treasure that.
A Boltgun uses a two stage system. A conventional charge to shoot the round of the barrel hence the brass casing and once it’s out of the barrel the rocket activates propelling the round. Gyrojets fire the whole round using the propellant as its escape mechanism
@@unclesam5230 Fun fact: While we believe Bolter are inspired by Gyrojet, in real life the Gyrojet (or rather, rocket charge ammunition) wasn't successful in small arms... However, the modern artillery do have rocket assist for increasing range Overall, a rocket assist weapon still a successful ammunition design... For large caliber batteries, for now...
I hate it. It makes the standard bolter into a weaker weapon just by existing. It's the definition of redundant. Don't let me rain on your parade tho, I'm just a broken Space Marine player who hates Primaris Marines.
@@theredcomet5670 I can understand your situation, and, frankly, i was surprised it was only available to the tactical class. I expected it to only be available to the heavy class, like the tabletop rules.
@@GaryHamad im sure they could, but because a lot of things that are too much to explain, researching and developing new things is a big no-no in the imperium, thats why STCs are so important, also the fact that old stuff is from the dark age of technology so they are stronger that anything the current imperium could make But to give you a realistic answer, belisarius cawl COULD do it, but GW being GW it hasnt even crossed their minds
I wish the bolters had a similar full-auto function to the Heavy Bolter, where the entire mag could be depleted in half a second with a severe accuracy penalty, but insane burst dps for a target in close proximity.
Knowing a bit about the lore behind the WH 40K universe, all of these weapons would be larger, heavier, and have stronger recoil than many modern real world light weapons (paradoxically in military terminology light weapons are on the smallest end of the big and heavy emplaced/mounted weapon scale, but too large and heavy for regular carrying and use by human foot soldiers, as light weapons are one tier up from the hand-held small arms infantry are typically equipped with), but can still be hand-wielded by these Goliath sized men in heavy exoskeleton battle armor.
Pyroblaster probably works well against close combat targets... Plus it's lethal damage works at extreme close range, make it an awkward position in PVP where both side primary weapons are ranged Bolters
@@Truck_Kun_Driverwell vengeance launcher is a graian product that wasn't yet in mass production, it'd be more of a relic weapon due to what happened on graia. The storm bolter I agree on though. The bolt carbine just ain't the same... But still a fun lil gun
Storm Bolter actually it's specific to Terminator units. Normal Marines might felt unweldy because it's extreme recoil and weight. Upon Vengeance Launcher, Vengeance Launcher was a prototype relic weapon specific at Graia. In SM2 probably similar counterpart is Grenade launcher. Well, the Bolt-Rifle do have a grenade launcher mount underslung the Bolt-Rifle (A Combi-weapon). However, possible in the next season pass might have a Grenade Launcher specific for certain class Fun fact: If the Storm Bolter has come out, for Heretic Astrates it will be Combi-Bolter (Two Boltgun wield into one)
Vengeance Launcher actually more similar as Grenade Launcher part, so in SM2 probably might have a different pattern of Grenade Launcher Although Bolt-Rifle do have a underslung Grenade Launcher (hence the Combi-weapon)
Kinda sad we didnt get the deathwatch combat shotgun or the vulkite caliver. Or even the vengeance launcher from the last game. Ah well I guess they couldn’t get to everybody’s weapon.
Kinda silly, but the only thing that makes me curious is why they decided to use the OLD Plasma Incenerator miniture model (kinda), with the (sorta) butt stock. Afaik, the stock on the Plas Incenerator was basically phased out, same with the Bolt Rifle without scope (normal one, not Auto bolt rifle with the drum mag).
Actually, for PVE you can get the Bolt-Rifle with Underslung Grenade Launcher (Combi-weapon) However, that was unique or rare skin type (so work hard to get upon that)
As for the Regular Bolt Pistol i. 0:01, what kind of Pattern of the Pistol they were called, since most of the Primaris Marines with the rank of Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain use a Heavy Bolt Pistol with a long handguard?
These are definitely badass, but I only have one question: why do most of them have scopes? Don't space marine helmets have built in targeting systems?
If it has BOLT in the name, it's usually a newer model made by Bellisarius Cawl for the Primaris Marines. If it has BOLTER in the name then it's a older model. That's my understanding anyway.
Different specifications. Bolters are an old weapon type that's been in use since the reclamation of earth and before. Newer bolt weapons are intended for fights at longer ranges rather than just being used to kill "literally anything" like was the original intent of the Bolters
In PVP, it does have a specific difference between Loyalist and Heretics Boltgun can be various patterns, however most patterns either relic or already phased out by Imperium standards. Most Heretic Boltgun are less common calibre used by Imperium standards. Bolt-Rifle on the other hand, is a new, modular design specific for Primaris Space Marines. It's unique pattern that allows one base pattern switch to different designs and roles. The calibre of this Bolter use standard .75 calibre.
@@leekaijit36 That's pretty funny to hear. "phased out by imperium standards" as if the Imperium has a cohesive military. Pretty much every Bolt gun patterned for the Astartes has to be the quality of a Relic (In the undying artefact sort of sense) as it's the space marines that would have to be using them. Further, I've never heard of Astartes pattern bolt guns having caliber differences, othet than say between a heavy and regular bolters.
There are way too many redundant weapons. Why are there 10 variations of the Boltgun now? Where is the flamer, missile launcher, lighting claws, lascannon, shotgun, inferno pistol, grav gun, autocannon, assault cannon, and power axe? Could they have maybe cut out shit like the "heavy bolt rifle" (like a standard bolter isn't heavy enough) or fused the auto bolt rife and the bolt rife into one weapon called the "bolt rifle" or better yet a "Bolter"? What the fuck is a "melta rifle"? Do they rifle the melta barrels now? Is this your brain on Primaris Marines?
The heavy plasma is disappointing. It's never been a grenade weapon. Like they are supposed to be a mid ranged weapon, a more beefy version of a plasma rifle. Also where are the power axes in this game? And no flamers in Operations? So few weapon options and customizations.
All of these bolters sound heavy and satisfying. The reloading and you can hear the mechanics working within the guns. It’s so good!!! Plus you can’t got all of the hammer. 🤌🏻⚡️🌩️
Holy shit, the weapons design is so off in this game. Like wtf are those frag grenades supposed to be? Firecrackers? Or the meltas... Or why does a normal bolt pistol in the hands of a space marine in POWER ARMOR show strong muzzle climb due to recoil? This is supposed to be 40k. Those are supposed to be space marines. Not COD.
Who gives a fuck it’s a video game chud , we should be happy soylenthammer is getting any love especially with this budget and polish. Y’all really cry about everything
@@plot6520 I don't know why they changed Our beloved Ultramarine that their fighting performance on Tyranid look so weak compared to it's previous game how Titus having fun the Shit out of the Orks and wwhen in extrme combat sistuation with thunder hammer or power axe etc...., but right now this game show he and other astartes brother in arms , it also show the game mechanically have no power earth shaking or heavy impact on movement of things or environment surrounding like he's walking, shooting , in melee combat or sth .. , he got that point, also I think they could have add more weapons in time, but apart from that, no shotgun or vengeance grenade launcher or even strpm bolter which is quite sad, i was expecting they could've added more like flamers, to heavy flamer , heavy assault canon as well or even riding a Terminator armor so that game can have more variety of utulizing more on exererince on killing foes and so on , it blow up, but hey, i may think this stuff can have another faction to play as i remembered
