I think this was the best back workout I’ve tried so far! REALLY felt it all. Plus I really appreciated the good mornings cause I have a crap lower back!
First time using one of your videos and I'd give it 10/10, it was perfect for somebody stuck at home with only bands. I really liked the no-nonsense approach and thought your choice of movements was spot on. You asked for feedback on the dead-rows; personally I had to modify so that I was rowing while at the bottom of the deadlift to get a useful amount of tension in both parts of the exercise, but perhaps that's just a product of using different types of bands.
Great advice and thanks. I need to put together my "road workout" for strength because I'm sick of hassling with getting day passes at gyms. I can just take the bands along and get most of what I need done. Thanks!
Hola Ramsey, estoy de acuerdo. Para la gente que le cuesta hacer ejercicio yo recomendaría empezar solo 1 vez por semana. Pero ejercicio de fuerza y de ahí ir construyendo el hábito a 2 y 3 veces.
I think I like the dead rows. I need more practice with them to get the right tension and starting the row motion in the part of the deadlift that feel right. Keep humming a couple bars of "can't touch this" at some point during very vid with hammer curls...it would not be the same without that 🙂
I was humming it after reading your comment!!! The dead rows are next level and for whatever reason create such a killer burn in the back. They are one of my new favorites. The movement does take a little getting used to with bands though.
Love the dead rows. Doing concentration curls this way hurt my hands - I know you said to try to avoid that but I don't know how. Anyway, great workout! Thanks for doing these videos! Edit: I went back and watched the concentration curls again carefully. I think I got it now.
the dead rows feels kinda weird, but it certainly looks like a killer excercise when done right. havent found that mind - muscle connection for that one yet the rest are awesome!
I use a pair of padded biking gloves for exercises where I need to choke up on the bands. Saves the heck out of my hands, and they seeeem to be okay on the bands...? :P
Hey! I just started to get into taking care of me body and spent 3 months in Florida where I had access to a gym but now back home in Canada and got meself some resistance bands. I already subscribed to your videos and they’re really helpful. Only thing I have a hard time with is what weight resistance bands are you using for each exercise, just so I have an idea, and adjust to what I can do. Right now, I’m not sure how many pounds you’re using, and then I can adjust accordingly to what I’m capable of doing. Thanks.
The whole workouts are good but the only thing I can comment is not to pressure on your knee cap whenever doing the single arm row. Put it on thigh but not on knee caps. Thanks
Half way through the 2nd set i finally got it. I see you doing in more fluids so tried. It got better. Ill have to revisit that. Are bands supposed to have the weight amount on? Mine don't. I know which one is heavy vs light.
As long as you know which band to use you're good to go. Some bands, like ours have the weight listed, the ones we used before we started making our own did not have the weight so we just went by color.
Not to toot my own horn, but the bands i have ar3 easy. At that point do i try to move to a bigger heavier one? I've been latching all 3 together for more risistence.
