The bloopers with the tricorder bring to mind how the early TNG tricorders (From at least for the first two or three seasons) had a spring-loaded latch to keep them closed until the actor wants it open.

Oh yeah curse those tricorders and curse those doors it's the first time I seen tricorders go off in a blooper in any Star Trek fan fan thanks for the laughs.
