Now that SKYDANCE is part of the Paramount Trek production company My hope is SKYDance will allow fan films more than the 30 minutes fan films can air without threat of a lawsuit.
I WISH this comment could go to ALL ALL fan flick creators----Paramount Dims the Lights: After announcing an agreement to be sold to Skydance, Paramount says it’s cutting 15% of its U.S. workforce, about 800 employees, to save $500 million. The news is little surprise as these are tough times for the entertainment business. Last week, Paramount reported a sharp slowdown in its linear TV business and wrote down more than $6 billion on the value of its cable unit. -----My fondest hope is NOW you guys with Skydance will get the green light to go an hour or more in your productions. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! There are two other stories "Outbreak" and "Resistance" in this series, which can be found on our channel. We'd love to make more, unfortunately they take quite a bit of time and money, so we shall see what the future brings.
Beautiful - all the ones I have seen here and so many other sites. The fans are really outdoing the "official" Trek these days, though Prodigy is very good too. ❤❤❤
I can’t stand people like that idiot lieutenant. If you can’t abide by star fleets rules don’t freakin join. That guy should be thrown out of officer corp because he doesn’t have what it takes to me command level. He’s the type who would sacrifice his crew for his morals whether the crew agrees with them or not. It’s similar to how janeway got her entire crew stranded in the delta quadrant because she followed her morals instead of getting her crew safely home which is what should be every captains priority. Not only that they had an entire episode where she sulks about it and goes into Whiney baby mode. Oooo it’s my fault we are all here!!!! It’s too late for that janeway get back on the horse you chose I ride out that journey.

The subtitles are no good and I can't make out the captain's final line as we see the ship fly away. What does she say there, please? And is there any chance you will repost this with real subtitles? Or post it with a cooler mix of music and voice?
Very nice. In many fan productions, the actors seem more like people chosen maybe because they donated time/money for the project. Here though, they are good actors, believable with screen presence. Well done!
I don't believe CBS hold the same open unsolicited script programme that Paramount did in the 90s. Best way to get our stories seen by the right people is by viewers sharing them :) Thanks
This is outstanding on so many fronts: story, plot, acting, pacing, sound, vfx, sets, costumes, etc. I am still trying to figure out how this is merely a fan production. Kudos to all involved

You need to teach CBS, Netflix and other wanna-be-Star-Trek movie/series creators how make real Star Trek! -This is the first real Star Trek I've seen since Voyager, Enterprise and Renegade. I really wish CBS wouldn't have put length restrictions on fan-films. Thank you for your good work - to everyone who have been involved with making this movie. Your actors are good, the uniforms are perfectly made, the scenery is right, the story is well written (unfortunately a little short, but that's not the writer's fault), the CGI looks very natural. I'm gonna hunt down every episode on your YT-channel and watch them - one-by-one!! 😃 Edit: And the audio is excellent - this is actually the most important thing in a movie/video!!
Are these 3 films set at specific dates? They look like they take place between 2371 and 2373. I'd love to add them into a chronological order viewing list.
Great question. I don't think we gave a stardate for "Beyond the Sun", but "Outbreak" and "Resistance" both have Logs which are set during VOY Season 3. Hope that helps :)
@@voyagesfanfilm That's kind of what I was thinking. Some point in 2373 concurrent with early Voyager season 3 and DS9 season 5 before the switch to First Contact uniforms. I notice they're on your playlist in a different order than they were released. Does that mean this is the first one in the story?
Hmm, the Stardate on "Resistance" places it concurrent with Voyager "Macrocosm", but that's after the switch to the new uniforms on DS9. But Stardates are confusing anyway. There's already a problem in that same area of the chronology where the Stardate in the film "First Contact" places it long after the events of the DS9 episode "In Purgatory's Shadow" which references the fact that the events of the film had just happened. Guess I'll just ignore the Stardates and put these in my list wherever they feel appropriate.
