The Thomson family is the wealthiest family in Canada and they own a controlling stake in Thomson Reuters (largest news service in world), the Globe & Mail (largest news paper in Canada), and a significant portion of Bell Media (parent company of CTV) amongst other news companies. The true power in this world is the propaganda, as it is through propaganda that consent is manufactured. Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister of Canada happens to have worked at both Reuters & the Globe & Mail, & she represents the extremely wealthy downtown Toronto riding of Rosedale where the Thomson family lives. She also has a family history in the industry as her grandfather was a high ranking Nazi propagandist in Ukraine. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum and has a close relationship with George Soros. One example of a conflict of interest can be found in the fact that the ex-CEO of Thomson Reuters, Jim Smith, now sits on the board of Pfizer and is involved with multiple initiatives with the World Economic Forum. A prime example of the Thomson family attempting to control the narrative can be found in Thomson Reuters firing their head of data science for the crime of pointing out that the data does not demonstrate disproportionate targeting of blacks by police. They can't have this truth come out because it would destroy the narrative they have created to keep us divided based on falsehoods. They need to keep us divided so as that we don't unite against our true enemies. You can read up on the Thomson family in a Maclean's article online which talks about how the Thomson family likes to spend Christmas with the Rothschilds and how Mayor of Toronto, John Tory, is the son of Ken Thomson's right hand man. And also how David Thomson admits to being "a secret member of a secret order". The Thomson's spent $115 million in 2002 to purchase "The Massacre of the Innocents" a painting depicting the biblical scene in which Herod king of Judea, orders the execution of all male children two years old and under in an attempt to murder Jesus. I will let you speculate as to why the Thomsons felt the need to purchase this extremely graphic painting. Here's to hoping this all becomes common knowledge soon! Please spread the word far and wide!

It's not a bad idea if it helps the poor.But there are always people who will pretend to be something as a cover for something else.But I respect the genuine people who want to improve living conditions for the people who have nothing who are victims of corporations who dont care about things like living and working conditions and exploit people who have no rights.These days with the housing crisis and fake Covid virus and made up climate crisis there has been a greater need for a true representation for the poor.

Unfortunately man is too evil for it to work. There will always be evil ppl in high places. Yet ppl want to give more control & power over their lives instead of less. There's no easy road in life, u pay one way or another, either by working hard or by being abused by evil in high places. The less power they have over our lives the better. They have way too much as it is, we need less gov't & not more. I can't help but to feel like ppl who are naive enough to think this can work in a fallen world are sheltered & lack having learned hard lessons in life, to their detriment.

@@LouLouLion And the alleged pandemic is a good example of what you're saying about people giving away too much power to authority in order to be protected. My interpretation of the Fabians had been about the people who wanted to overthrow an oppressive system through various means such as the wolf in sheep clothing like the Troan Horse though a democratic or collective uniform ideology, therefore, the individual or the outsider especially the ones with property or wealth are either insane or at least the enemy of the state. The individual who's the outsider could be in the same position as Jesus as opposed to Rome and the Pharisees or the Jewish religious order of the time. The thing I disagree with about the socialist democratic collective is that they despise the free-thinking individual I think there has to be a balance Buddism is a good ideology I'd say based on the middle way but even then there' are times when someone must choose either one way or another in total either yes or no rather than on the fence undecided. But when it's an enforced collective policy then its totalitarianism and individual choice are thrown out which isn't good. Like there was for example everyone forced into the war and the ones that refused to fight were imprisoned which is wrong. The way it's getting now with the World Economic Forum the real reason for the pandemic I believe is to restructure society and it's very much a product of Communist ideology I would say as is climate change that; is also a scam if the world was hot through the sun in Roman times centuries before petrol and industry then its a scam.

I'm about 2/3 way through the same book (paperback), which brought me here in search of any podcasts by or with Ratiu himself. Very well researched exposé on The Milner-Fabian Conspiracy.
