1. The quickest and easiest method to reframe a landscape edit for portrait delivery is to first duplicate your timeline.
2. Rename this new sequence, right click and go to sequence settings.
3. Next change the frame size to your chosen portrait resolution, here we will use vertical 9:16,1080 by 1920 pixels.
4. Right click on the portrait timeline again and select 'Auto Reframe Sequence', ensuring you match the target aspect ratio to your chosen portrait resolution, so here we'll select vertical 9:16.
5. Premiere will now automatically resize and reframe your edit around what it thinks is the best framing for each shot.
6. It's often very reliable, but if you need to readjust any clips go to effect controls, where you can adjust the position in the auto reframe settings, or if necessary turn auto-reframe off to give you complete manual control.
