It’s not LTMs that will bring players back. It’s matchmaking that doesn’t stomp the casual into wanting to play something else. Which is exactly where we are. When the numbers drop, it’s the casuals leaving. Which leaves the player base to top tier and cheaters.
Season 4 apex legends man. take me back to those simpler times with none these bs universal heirlooms cash grabs. and a proper lore that was updated and worked on regularly.
Every one of these videos has multiple people saying “FIX MATCHMAKING” and every time it’s completely ignored. Apex and pros stand by “studies show EBMM keeps more players…” but the reality is long term people can’t stand it and leave. What’s it take to wake up? Get rid of EBMM and make it solely SBMM and you even will fix the cheater problem. As they will end up playing in the level their cheats allow them to. In other words all masters and preds. But instead we are having preds in GOLD lobbies, how dumb is this??
Ive returned to apex for this seasson just to play with my friends, I use to be plat but im hard stuck gold now, every single game I die it is to a master or a pred, just a few days ago I died to a rank 6 pred, like Im 4 tiers bellow him, how can I enjoy a game that uses me for others enjoyment
EA has to stop worrying about all this flashy stuff in stores and worry more about server fixes, region locking servers, and a bunch of other things so that they have retainability of players.
They absolutely need to make the solo experience better. Ranked diamond or higher is utterly unplayable solo. Ranked is in a terrible place right now IMO.

Yeah like another comment said basically. The game hasn’t progressed much in the future yet to even take us back to an “OG” experience. They’ve done like 2 or 3 big updates since the launch of the game everything else is just a cosmetic event or a nerf to a pre existing mechanic. They’re copying Fortnite’s game-plan, play-for-play because they want the same success they have. When will people realize that Apex having an OG season is not an original idea. They’re just trying something that has been proven to work on other games in effort to save theirs because they have no creativity left to do it themselves. Also note: it’s crazy Thordan has been talking about the events being considered “bad” by the player base since season 2.
At this point, they should just sunset Apex and call it quits. They are doing a terrible job maintaining this game, and I am tired of people getting their hopes up
Wish i could get back into this game. I just cant do it anymore lol. It just got so bad. I hope it does get better. Id love to play it like i used too.

The constant "meta" shift with all these BR games is ruining the game. What if every weapon was equally good and everyone just got to use what they wanted. That's what made MW3 (2011) so great!
OG weapons are only gonna lose players. Most of the guns were busted or useless, also the OG maps had a bunch of issues too. It was fun then but it wont be now.
Neither an OG event or Lifeline Reborn would bring people back. Revenant Reborn didn't do much, and he was reworked more. Everytime they make old maps playable, it's hit with everyone realizing how bad they used to be, and want the new versions back.
Apex keeps nerfing and changing everything we loved for literally no reasonable reason and expectations for lack of people not playing this game anymore. So what do they expect on why people would play this game still if they don't try and save it.

At this point, i think we shouldn't be spending any money on apex, because anyday EA can shut down it and we will lose all our collections, so untill respawn fix the game issues, we should sit tight and wait.
Upgrade servers, fix match making, have duo trio quads and a more competitive version of Arenas. When I first played Apex Arenas helped me get into the combat and team play as a newbie. All they have to do is remove the barriers that people crossing over from other games have like squad size, ways to practice and learn... fair match making. You want new players... cater to new players...OG mode is the last thing you do before a game dies to cash in. We'll know their intentions if this OG mode actually drops

It's not an enjoyable experience to go up against sweat lords with 20+k kills per legend especially as a casual or new player. Now add server issues, no SBMM and hardware/software cheaters and you've got the recipe for a failing game.
How can people suck at aiming? The controller aims for me every time. I might switch to MnK though to see if it's harder because with controller it's getting boring because I never miss.
Personally as a OG’ish player the reason I stopped was all the huge changes the game had from the ballistic and up and every is just way to overwhelming for me to get back to playing apex again, I do try but it’s just to overstimulating and boring to play

The biggest issues are never resolved. No amount of maps, legends and game modes will change the player count. Consumers aren’t dumb. Treating them as such will hurt the product
Personally I lost a lot of passion for the game when they kept removing my favorite pois, nerfing my favorite weapons constantly, the meta changes and imbalances and then nerfing controller, then cheating and hacking was like the nail in the coffin, I loved this game and still play from time to time but I am so tired of working all day and logging in to see a new update that shits on my night, like their player base has grown in age we don’t have time to go over patch notes and bs constantly like if I load up and pick up the r99 I need it to work as usual not some bs recoil changes and dmg nerfs ffs
I once couldn’t go a week without spending money on apex. I actually wanted to spend money because of the fun I was having. As someone who spent thousands on the game to not wanting to spend a dime says a lot .. nothing can revive this game unfortunately. all the bad patches, nerfing, bad matchmaking drove those that enjoyed this game away.
OG apex wont give them more money. The issue is within the framework of what they do. They dont care anymore about anything except skins. A game this old can only be revived by constant bi-weekly updates.
OG mode isn't enough to save the game. They need to update the engine and deal with the cheaters and matchmaking. If they would just put effort into those things the game would rebound

I loved Apex, but this is what I see.. EA: to fix the game we're gonna blah blah blah, and we're also going to blah blah blah, and we'll end with blah blah blah, and it all goes into effect tomorrow! Then we log in tomorrow and.......... Same old cheaters, horrible MM, but new overprice cosmetics. I'm convinced EA don't want to ban cheaters/hackers cause there's more of them (and they spend $) then honest players on PC now.
Half the problem is, everything gets fixed 'next season'... I understand things take time, but come on... cosmetics drop constantly, prices are stupid high, problems have persisted for SEASONS... Other big games, fortnite, call of duty, overwatch etc fix issues, listen to players and try hard for their supporters... Apex have this old argument of EA being the bully overseers... apex devs are letting us down equally, as they are apparently the guys with ears to the ground, yet dont care enough to make a difference for us... Apex had the promise to be amazing, at times it achieved, but greed, poor support and not listening to what fans want or keeping constant fresh updates... it's time this game was put to bed... I don't even trust the devs at this point
SBMM is a disaster especially now the player base dropped. I always get into impossible lobbies (my k/d is 1.5) for me ranked is way easier than pubs. This is not normal, in any game ranked are harder than casual matches....
I think they need to bring back season five ranked. But a lot of people also left because of the dive trails being taken away Playing ranked doesn’thave a feel that makes you want to grind. It also takes way too long.
In terms of attracting new players, if Apex made the 'Bot Royal' mode as good as the firing range, I think this would go a long way. I am a new player myself and I was interested in using the 'Bot Royal' mode to become familiar with the game - im not confident to just jump straight into BR. But the 'Bot Royal' mode at present is just sad. Give us the option to change the bot difficulty level, and to play the mode solo/no fill, without the annoying team bots getting in the way. Also, just let us play on all the full maps and choose which map to play on! Is it really that too much of an ask??? Want new players, give them a solid mode to practice in and become familiar with the maps and game!!! Call of Duty offers this for the MP maps, and Fortnite has its creative mode. Apex firing range is amazing, and if they offered a solid 'Bot Royal' mode, it would put it above both Call of Duty and Fortnite in terms of quality practice modes.
Going back to how things were Is a cheap and lazy way to completely ignore why apex is so stale: they’ve largely stopped giving us NEW content, opting for recycled gamemodes and collection events. Less characters, less guns, less unique gamemodes, less story. Reverting back to OG apex isn’t going to bring people back and retain them because it isn’t actually bringing change.
I have no interest in going back to the way the game played. The game plays better now honestly. People don’t miss the crap loot pool. People don’t miss unbalanced legend/gun meta. People just miss the freshness of Apex. Things were fun when it was new and we were all learning. And the cheating- its literally cancer for this game right now. But I’m not falling for the “restoring the changes” play.

They should definitely keep game modes in the game, like arenas and other ltm modes , who cares if it splits up your player base , as long as people are playing your game

OG isn't it. Back then Apex was new and BR was relatively new. Everyone was new and everyone was bad. Bringing back the old balance and/ or maps won't do anything because the players are still the same
it may work for a while, but bringing the game back to 2019 is definitely not the solution. the player base is not the same as 2019. They need to move forward, not back

Bro OG will not be saving this game there's too many issues with the game server issues, low tick rate, SBMM, cheaters, too many nerfs instead of buffs and its all thanks to EA being cheap as hell
Some things I would be ok with and some I wouldn't. I HATE our current weapon balance meta so I think seeing R99, Prowler, and even 301 back to usable would be really nice. I hate wingman and wraith meta though. Pathfinder might also be super popular depending on exactly when they revert to.
It would need to be something which would bring new players in, and in large quantities, with good match-making, to save the game... It does not matter if you make awesome changes which will make players return or new players come in if they quit after a day because they get absolutely stumped on match after match... At the moment there are only previous Master's and Preds in the platinum lobbies. Not a fun experience and one which will deter new players.
i miss legends heirlooms. They have to give every Legend they are releasing a original character specific Heirloom. Otherwise it would be VERY unfair and unprofessional.

People (pros) need to stop complaining about weapons they don’t like. Mozam meta is fun imo. And removing the Mozam would make the game even more dead than it’s turning out to be. The joy and elation I get when I find hammer points for my Mozam’s is immeasurable 😈…meanwhile the R-301 beams like a hot knife cutting through butter from0.5 miles away and pros ain’t saying shit about it 👿
Return of og heirlooms means no heirlooms 🤔 also only thing in missing a train on worlds edge, and worlds edge was added like in season 3, kings canyon is good map as it is, i don't miss skull town, you can play almost skull town in tdm now
