Crazy. I used to love this game, but it's gone so far downhill. Base gameplay loop is still great, but everyone that TRULY cared about this game in Respawn is gone. Micro transactions have gotten worse, new battlepass split is probably the worst idea i've seen for a F2P game. idk man, idk,,,,,
Literally, I’m a day 1 player with nearly 8000 hours and I have 12 games played this season. It doesn’t even feel like the same game anymore.. oh the days of dropping sorting factory in season 4 how I miss you 😭
@@NikeyMiniyuh Agreed, which makes me wonder if they’ll do the same thing to apex as they did with overwatch and converting it. Supposedly respawn is working on 2 new games instead of one. It would make sense to rebuild a new game on a better engine that can’t be hacked as easily instead of trying to replace the one we have currently…

As a day 1 player. It’s literally sbmm, it’s too tight and makes the game repetitive on every level, it’s why everyone I know quit. Then cheaters in ranked, and hit regs/servers
I don't think there is ANY SBMM turned on right now (and the last couple seasons). I get Masters and Preds in my lobbies constantly, and I'm no where near that level (honestly). I dearly wish they'd actually turn SBMM back on, because as it is, it's just not fun. Getting aped by 3-stack Masters squads isn't any enjoyable experience. I'd be happy to wait a few minutes between matches if it meant getting a lobby that's my skill level.
It's over, there is no saving Apex. It breaks my heart that a greedy ass company killed such a beautiful franchise. One time I wish either Bathesda or Activision snatched up Apex, probably would have got at something better than what we're getting now

It's sad to see a sunset that didn't need to be. However, there are greener pastures. I found that 'The Finals' is a game that gives me more satisfaction with movement mechanics and feels like they took the best parts of the gaming industry of the last 10 years and packaged it into a unique experience. Since I started playing a couple weeks ago I haven't launched Apex once. Edit: Also, forgot to mention, The Finals does NOT have predatory micro-transactions. You have to earn your weapon and gadget unlocks by PLAYING, not PAYING. Anything you buy has no bearing on the game play and only makes you look cool. The skins and animations have 10x the love of Apex and actually LOOK GOOD. I dropped $40 on a free to play game like The Finals because I genuinely want to support their project.
I swear, we as a community need to find a way to run EA out of business. If they are taking a game we have loved for years, they dont deserve to stay in business. 😔😡

FIFA/EA FC is one that carries EA pretty much I can't say anything about Sims but if next Battlefield is huge success makes more money than Apex then EA gonna prioritise that new Battlefield over Apex and maybe that Apex needs

The real problem with this game is the streamers and content creators always promoting and spending money on the game. Just 7 only 7 people or streamers makes EA over 1,000$ in a event . Now imagine every single person who buys that . The real issue is they tested if it'll work and it worked so they'll keep doing it. The consumers are the ones who set up the limit . As long as is on demand they'll keep pushing. How many streamers be like this is provided by EA and apex . Fuk that if I was a influencer and ea try to make me push their money sht I would just not doing it . The game needs a new engine. The old source engine is prone for exploits and is known for breaches. One of the reasons valve left the old source engine. A new engine will not only make it hardere to breach, but also more stable to handle all the shinsnigans. A stand alone anti cheat. EAC is widley used and comes in different forms. The downside is that the codes are widley known and i have a hard time its hard to come around, paired with a old engine Apex is running. remove unique footsteps, This would remove overall stress of the server and the game. This would also remove the audio clutter and hz mixing of certian audio ques. certification to play (like phone number and or social ID). I think this is self explainitory, the cheating war will never end, but this would make it even harder to cheat. They need to remove splits. For the sole purpose of releavin the devs of huge stress and focus on quality instead of quantity. Minimum 60tickrate server. The fact billion dollar game dont see the benefit of higher tickrate is a straight up lie told by higher ups to lie about. Low rate servers makes it possible to not only exploit higher ping, but also die behind closed doors and walls, latency lag and improper input and bad connection. There is far more i would do to the game. But this is the key things i see would make a huge difference and would bring the spark back. I would also put a team of 10 to search and code every single device used for cheating to be hard banned from the game with only one warning to the users. If qued up to a game again, would result in removal of the account and a IP, hardwere, phonenumber and social id ban, permanent on all games connected to publisher and devs.
same old song and dance every season - and after 5-6 years its inevitable that players will reduce... its hard to keep a game like apex fresh and new without the whole community throwing arms for whatever reason - i believe the community is the worst part about apex.. its not the cheaters or the skins , its the players since day 1 - EXPECTING things when should just play and enjoy what we had/got as things change... its common life law
what apex should do to revive the game is: -improve the servers + reduce the hackers -give a discount for the heirloom recolors if a player already owns the original heirloom -give mad maggie her heirloom -give Gibraltar an heirloom recolor with his town takeover and stories of outlands -do more collaborations like the final fantasy event -never bring milestone events backs -try to introduce a netflix series of the legends
@SorenDresch you mean the splitting of the battle pass? Personally I think it's a good idea, it's easy to complete and gives the players something to grind for.
This was the only game I would play every single day during my ps4 years, but eventually once I got a pc, apex wasn't even a main game I wanted to download to steam, rip to an amazing game.
I wish the game put more effort into its great cast of chars and the great visuals and gameplay loop instead of static skins that you only see the hands of... prolly way too late. R.I.P.
Yeah this channel has turned into just complaining about the game….the titles suck me in sometimes but I usually don’t finish them anymore. We get it, you loved it and now it sucks. Some of us still play and would like content and news.

I remember when each legend had lore, and stories throughout the season. There'd be fun events, with cool missions to go with it. There'd also be new game modes popping in and out of rotation. Now, it's just stale, there's no new content. Hell, most of the legend's lore is left unfinished. It's like they quit focusing on the quality, and started focusing on how many skins they can recolor and sell.
Loved this game sooo much, cosplayed caustic on season 0 era and it was what helped me socialize with others when i was more introverted...its sad that this is happening now
Quitting Apex was the best thing that happened to me years ago. It was sad to see a game with so much hype and excitement. I remember the day I got my first heirloom. When I quit, I started playing other games like story-based ones such as God of War, Persona (3, 4, 5), Final Fantasy, and all the Dark Souls games, Other great games. If you are confused and don’t want to quit Apex, take your time, enjoy it, and try to move on.
Its honestly sad to see this video and see what ea has done to this game. I have played this game since launch and it a shame to see what such a greedy company can do to ruin something so valued among gamers. Shame on ea for ruining everyones experience. I know that apex will never return to its original state and its not even too difficult to fix. They could use a sliver of their money to for example, change the game engine, increase server tick rate, invest in more developers, change the ranked system to make it not a sniper war, change or even create a skill based matchmaking system because god forbid i can have capable randoms on my team who can create full sentences or shoot their guns, and just make the game a whole lot easier on beginner players and make game actually fun and not worry about monetization every dam second. Shame on ea. Shame on respawn for letting this happen.
At the very core, for me at least, there are two big issues right now: 1. The matchmaking is truly horrendous. 2. The dev feedback loop is so slow, and nothing gets communicated. They release stuff broken "to collect a lot of data", and then don't fix it for months (think the mozams for example). There is no real community interaction, no feedback on the issues and complaints. The monetization, the lack of story, etc. yeah it's bad. But the bigger issue is that the game *feels* broken, and that it *feels* as if the devs don't care (They do,at least on an individual level, but they have lost that trust).
they nerfed the mozam... it was an addition to change the gun rotation - people cried for akimbos ... we got them, nope not good enough ... players are the worst part of apex , the community imploded the game itself without EA or Respawn.
@@guyterrifico8293 I know that they nerfed them, but that nerf came about 6 weeks too late. I haven't heard anybody say that they didn't like the addition of akimbos, just that they fucked up the balancing.
GO back to one currency, Decrease the price of everything, Fix the bugs, Add 2 new guns and then fix anti cheat. I feel like that would save the game. Oh also Make a villain legend for everyone to fight and move the story forward.
I haven't played much this season. Ranked is dull and most of my friends who played with me left multiple seasons ago. I held onto hope as long as I could but I've finally admitted the game will be buried soon.
I'm a S1 player that recently came back. I was excited beyond all measure. When i found out that my purchased battle pass ended half way through the season, I only played a game or 2 a day. Im probably done for good now. It's such a shame that the greed and cheaters ruined the only good BR game. I loathe cartoony fortnite and 5TB installation Call of Dookie.
I cant lie, apex hast hit the same since season 8, after that ive only played hoping they would make the game feel like it used to. I also just feel like there arent any new games that hit anymore, when apex came out it was sick and fun, same with fortnite, they were fun. Ever since 2019 with apex dropping i just feel like there hast been any fun games.
It is so heartbreaking too cause I don’t think the game is hard to fix. Improve the servers. Fix matchmaking. Add something like custom rank reactive skins for each legend or all guns. (The skins design would reflect the end of season rank) could alternate reward between different seasons for variety. Kinda like rank charms were like thematic for each season. Like Thordan said give love to the old characters. Bring back arenas one of the worst decisions they made was removing that. The game lost all passion when it was focused on money and it shows.
The game is dying because the devs are pissing us off for years. We wait for next season. Nothing major happens. Then another season still nothing major happens people ARE GIVING UP HOPE. There needs to be change
There’s no stakes involved in these BR’s anymore. You get multiple lives and it’s turned into resurgence or deathmatch. People want high stakes, heart racing gameplay and now these games are kill chases. Strip it down.
Heirloom recolors are simply theft... you put countless hours/money to get an heirloom and then they release it again in a different color for the same price, absolute stupidity

The sad truth is, EA and Respawn will eventually close down Apex when it's bled dry, then they will release Titanfall 3 to try and squeeze and last bit of money they can from the franchise in total then shut everything down, moving on to the next cashcow they can ruin. Only chance apex has is respawn leaving EA and getting the OG devs back
The best idea for a company that is interested in Apex's potential would be to wait until it lost all its worth to EA then buy it make to the concept that all the players want.
I think it was about when Arenas dropped that I questioned their content release. Since then it feels like most seasons they see if they can give us less content while pushing more pay for skin content on us. I have sort of always said that Apex new content tends to hit me about half as impactful as I hope it would be. I really do wish they would have more changes to the maps each season than they do.
I liked the idea of having the dive trail for the season… new stuff like the frames they added should make it limited for the season to show off what rank you got to. I used to grind rank just because i know ima get that trail at the end but nowadays the game is so boring. Day 1 player here
I believe EA was pushing the OG devs to do things they didn’t want to do, so they started leaving, and ever since then the new people running respawn they have no reason to continue some of the dev philosophy the OG’s had so now even the DNA of this game is changing. Either way some really greedy out of touch people got too much control.
I put thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars into this game. Started playing during the pre-season era. Played Apex mobile too. The way this game has been handled should be studied. Not that it will. If you had asked me years ago what my favorite game was I would have said Apex. If you had told me that it would have imploded like it has, I would have said you are crazy. So much potential squandered.
from the bottom of my heart, fuck EA and respawn for ruining this amazing game they had. day one player finally coming around to just giving up on the game. the effort isnt there from the devs. you hit really good points on no stories from the outlands and anything really lore related besides the dumb comics every season. it sucks that in the end they can literally give a shit less about us but as long as we keep giving them money, they will just keep fucking us.
I miss the events that rewarded cool skins/emotes/etc. Not the shitty ones like now that don't give you shit except a generic skin. There's nothing to grind towards. You just play for the love of playing. All I mean is... There is nothing to get excited about

The reason Apex Legends failed is because of the proliferation of hackers. Nothing more, nothing less. When you can't play a game without some scumbag aimbotting and seeing through walls, the game is finished.
Fr. My dad died right before pandemic. I couldn’t process it so I escaped. I just had me, my cat and my games. I met amazing people along the way though. Currently in bed with my sleeping duo in apex and in life. We just got engaged so apex did its job and I can say good bye.
Apex will never recover as long as they are under EA. Those who made Apex special have left because of EA. EA wanting to please their greedy shareholders always backfires and thus they managed to kill off their cash cow because they are so narrow sighted and always think they need to milk something to death which is what actually kills these games.

as a 4300-hour day one player I've quit the game about 2 to 3 seasons back they've just ruined the lore with so much sweet baby inc type shit, and they refused to fix the servers same with the hacker problem. for me apex is dead until they do a massive reset or make an apex legend 2 with a new engine just to get me excited about apex again EA REALLY JUST SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe if respawn gets bought out by Microsoft or something just fuck EA
Been playing since season 1 with some breaks between seasons 3-4. I have stopped playing Apex after the release of the second split in this season. I don’t think I will be going back after playing these other great single games being released. Apex is finished and I don’t think they can pull anything to be what they used to be in the first 6 seasons
Honestly the first they should probably do is bring back arenas I mean it’s the main thing people were playing then and they should probably find a way to remove cheaters from the game then instead of universal heirlooms they death boxes they should be fixing the lore and maybe come out with legend heirlooms instead I mean legends that have been out for seasons still don’t have one I mean it would be refreshing to see ea bring back some of these things
I hate seeing games I used to love turn into trash, but these days that's all I see. Apex started feeling like a chore when I got tired of live service games but it was still pretty fun to pick up and play. But the more I look at what they've done, I realize I'm better off not coming back to it. EA can go to hell. Everything they touch gets worse.
