I so appreciate your intentionality in parenting (and seemingly, everything!) you approach. We also seek to practice that concept of allowing and acknowledging all feelings, but not allowing all behaviors. Recently we've been having a lot of conversations about how some things he has to do are hard, but he CAN do hard things. Language development is so important on the road to getting past tantrums.
Thank you for your lovely comment as always. It is so true that frustration is ok and it's so helpful to give toddlers the space to achieve things on their own. I think it really helps to build self-confidence and resilience. ❤️
Thanks Claire. I have had one of these weeks too. I had wanted to watch your skincare video for ages but it has been a busy week being the end of the Easter holidays and making the most of the sun! Great that you use lots of these techniques too. ❤️
Hi I love this video. We really dislike the term "terrible twos" as well and have adopted a peaceful, respectful parenting approach. We also do not believe in "time out". Instead we have a "time in" approach 😊 Thanks for this awesome video.
'Time in' is such a great name for it! It's one of the times they need our calm presence most. Thanks for your lovely comment as always. You can see how your little ones are blossoming because of your respectful approach. ❤️
Thank you both for this video. We are implementing respectful parenting with our d 20 months old daughter and we love it even thought it's a hard job to stay calm in some situations :D But it works so well. Just not all the people get why we do a lot of things differently. Mostly dealing with tantrums and sharing things. Love your videos and take care!
Thank you for your lovely comment. Absolutely, it's a shift in parenting for many people but I feel, as I'm sure you do too, so secure in our choices and see the positive impact daily. Our relationships with our little ones will continue to blossom. Parenting is hard but it's also so rewarding. Sending mummy love! ❤️
