In this video, I share our tips and experience of wild camping and hiking with a two-year old in Scotland. We love experiencing family outdoor adventures together and the May holiday weekend took us to Galloway Forest Park where we hiked the highest hill in the region, the Merrick. We had an amazing time and I hope the video gives some useful advice as we share our experiences and a little inspiration to get your little ones outdoors!

I’ve just found your channel and obsessed! We are blessed to live on Dartmoor but when had our now 2 year olds daughter thought our hikes and wild camps had to stop. Aww loved this! We love camping with our two littles! We’ve yet to go hiking but with a 1 and 2 year old I’m taking it slow haha! Ben is such a cutie! 🥰❤️

Awww Ben is so sweet with his wee hike 😊 Leo always eats the cheese when he helps me too 😆 Stick bread looks really interesting I’ll have to tell my brother about it as he’s always wild camping somewhere he may fancy trying it. Scotland is great for there light late nights and very light early mornings Leo woke up at 3.30am thinking it was time to get up and play 😮 Oooh i really want banana bread 😍😍 I’ve loved watching this vlog it was really well put together and just made me amazed and how much amazing things you can do in Scotland 😊

*Really enjoyed this video. Think its amazing that you can just wild camp in Scotland. Our Sophie was a nightmare the first night we camped out, she didnt sleep a wink, I had to take her a drive around the lakes at 4:00am to get her have some sleep. Second night she slept a full 12 hours. Ive heard the midges can be really bad in Scotland. Love the bobble around the sleeping bag.*

I know, we are so lucky to be able to camp like this. There are lots of people ruining at the moment though by not cleaning up after themselves! Oh my goodness, that sounds like much more of an ordeal than we had. He was actually asleep by 10.30. It's just too exciting. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
