the airway resistance is highest in the medium sized bronchi , can someone please tell me the anatomical location of medium sized bronchi? is it referring secondary or lobar bronchi as medium sized bronchi? zack skipped it calling it large sized and didn’t explain the parallel pathway low resistance theory as well

Hey Ninja Nerds, @16:40 could it be that the effect of epinephrine/norepinephrine and acetylcholine got interchanged ? If not, why does acetylcholin lead to vasoconstriction? Pls be gentle, im not a med student

What about blood circulation? We are taught that because of the total cross sectional area, that capillaries cause a low flow rate, and therefore high resistance...?

OK, folks, spoiler alert. It's not friction that increases resistance, but just the narrowing of the airway. A French guy by the name of Pouiseille discovered this law so don't kill the messenger. Otherwise, excellent lecture.

Gas flow ie directly proportional to ∆ pressure. It is inversly proportional to resistance. By the end of terminal bronchioles gas flow stops, and by the beginning of respiratory bronchioles diffusion of gases occurs.

great work done ninjer nerd,my concern was, histamine its not the one responsible for causing asthmatic constriction, I think its the slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis(which is a mixture of leukotrienes

how did lungs separate oxygen component from the inhaled air? because blood only carry oxygen, so how it filtered out from all the gasses present in air?

u r the best but one thing about asthma ..I think asthma patient have a problem with expiring the air out ..they get easily air in but expiration is the problem ..
