I saw a TV playing some horrible action scene where it cut every 5 seconds. I thought it was some mediocre Netflix action film until I saw Tom Holland's face and I realized it was Uncharted.
I liked that scene in Uncharted 1 when Nate and Sully are searching for El Dorado and Nate turns to Sully and says “Sully, we’re in uncharted territory.” Truly one of the video games of all time.
Ngl your Uncharted video made me really want to play the games. I always thought the games were just "generic AAA adventure game lol", but seeing all the stuff you said about it made me really invested. Thanks a lot!

Uncharted: The Movie was a masterpiece wdym??? It was CLEARLY taking inspiration from those made during the Writers Strike and I believe it succeeded in every aspect in recreating some of the absolute DOGSHIT written during that time. Truly the movie of all time.
The only thing that majorly bothered me about the movie when I saw it in theatres was that the Scottish villain was named Scotty but that’s only because of two things. 1) I’m from Scotland, and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves it when people make fun of our culture and Uncharted felt like a step too far and 2) The film was so boring that it was the only thing that was noteworthy enough to mention
His portrayal was a bit off-putting but I couldn't really pin my finger on why, as someone who has written a Scottish character named Scottie and a Swedish character named Sweden this is probably something I had to hear lol. At least none of my trans OCs are named "Sirona Ryan."
I personally love how in a very honest way you explained how you on the Internet is different from you IRL. Some people need to get this deep inside their heads sometimes.
Biggest disgrace this film caused is Tom Holland's version of Drake to be his default appearance in Fortnite, while the UC4 one is just an extra, leaving him out of the Gaming Legends Series which has DOOM, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, God of War, Street Fighter, and more.
I love the Cut the Rope gameplay, I'm kinda just focusing on it throughout the entire video and Dumbsville's voice is just random background noise in my head. I've never been so invested in this
I feel like nearly all the people who like the uncharted movie haven't even played the actual games and that's why they can't understand why it's a bad adaptation. What confuses me though is that Dumbsville clearly explained why it didn't follow the actual games, so maybe they just watched two seconds of the review and started commenting.
Tbh these comment replies videos are pretty good motivation to actually write structured and cohesive comments in criticism, also people see dumbsville exaggerate getting angry to emphasize his point and make an entertaining video (something avgn had been doing since the dawn of time) and treat it like def noodles
It's funny you mentioned that you think if you showed the Uncharted movie to someone unfamiliar with the game series that they wouldn't get the appeal, because that's exactly what happened with my parents lol. My parents don't know much about the games (aside from me talking about it with them occasionally) and when they had watched the movie they both said it sucked.
Next time you review *established title* I'm going to leave a comment going something like "I haven't seen the video yet but *established title* is ACTUALLY good" and then make up a reason why it is. Just for fun

If the game did something good and the movie does it worse, pointing out how the game does it better makes sense because it shows how they could have done better, and it overall improves your argument. Bayonetta anime film, Mario anime, Sonic 2 film, and the CGI Resident Evil films are more closer the original source material they’re adapting from any other of the animated video game films and live action video game films from Hollywood.
Thank god, there’s no “life is strange” movie because dumbsville would’ve had a world record of having the best review ( talking about the worst movie) with the worst comments in history. Also I want to say, as much that I hated the movie. It was nice to see Nolan North have a cameo, If only they made it sooner.
4:52 I hope that guy never watches a gaming magik video, he got FAR angrier in his toy story 4 and Incredibles 2 videos than you ever have. It's good stuff by the way. But my god the guy who commented that is so silly. It would have been far less embarrassing if he said something like "I agree with your points but perhaps you could have toned down your anger a bit, it makes your arguments harder to take seriously" (still would have been a bad take but it's significantly less idiotic)
What I hate more than the poor writing, casting, and cinematography of Uncharted, is that it pretty much validated all of my cynical feelings towards Hollywood. Can't wait for good movies to be mainstream again...

My overall opinion towards the movie is neutral, and people only defend it so harshly because Tom Holland is starring as Nathan Drake. It's kind of hilarious seeing all these people all like "nuh uh your opinion is wrong because I said so" Also for real dumbsy should review the Descendants movies. I saw them like last month or something for the first time and they're right up his alley, bullshit-wise.
I’m going to be honest Dumbsville. I only played the third game in the series so I’m not as connected to the series but I loved the hell out of it and I was pretty pissed when the plane scene was lame and the desert scene was completely lacking in gorgeous music or sweeping shots or Nathan Drake being Nathan Drake. So if I was mad at the representation of that one scene, I can barely comprehend your rage at the whole movie. You’re awesome and I wish you a good day
1:05 may i explain. This fine gentleman uses a profile picture of Puss in Boots, a spanish character. And the pronunciation of "L" is "El", which is the spanish word for "The". So with that in mind and the fact that he likes puss in boots. My theory is that his keyboard broke in the middle of the sentence and instead he meant to say "El pussy."
1:43 - 1:46 The female in this movie was the Antagonist. Of course, she's going to put down man. It's a very common villainous trope. The villain that put down others, usually either their subordinates or the protagonist. I know women putting down men has become a more common in media, as a lazy way for Hollywood movies to shoehorn "female empowerment", but that wasn't the case with this movie. Nate and Sauley still beat her in the end.
Mobile games are underrated. No one talks about any of them unless it’s Angry Birds or Plants vs. Zombies. What about Cut the Rope (Connection to the Video) or Temple Run or Where’s my Water.
Honestly, that movie was more like a Tom Holland edit to 15yo who have a crush on him than a real adaptation of the original source, I don't understand how someone who played the games can actually enjoy that movie.

It's saying something when the co-president of the company basically disowned the movie he said something along these line like it was in development hell for so long that it was a lost cause and and they nearly screwed TLOU over as well but they managed to wrestle the control back and become the TV show like it is now
"Wrong opinion" is an oxymoron. Anyone who thinks otherwise likely thinks the only right opinion is their own and are probably not worth arguing with. Also, I think your intro is very much a worthy replacement for its predecessor.
