Ps 12:7 KJV Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Do you believe Jesus when He said: Matt 24:35 KJV Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. If you do believe, then where are HIS words which are true, pure, and preserved words, so we could read it today? Ps 119:160 KJV Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

No, His word is pure and true and to be magnified. We get to know Jesus Christ ONLY from His word. When the modern perversions mess with the correct words of God, they are messing with Jesus Christ Himself, the salvation message and what God expects from us as believers. Yes, I believe in God and I believe God when He says His words will last forever and they are true and pure. I found that in the KJB. Where do you find God's perfect pure, true preserved words?

Dear sister, my thoughts on these passages about "absence" and "presence" refer to CHRIST also i.e. while Jesus being absent we have the Bible to read. 2Cor 13:1-2: "This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. I told you before, and foretell you, *as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now* I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, *that, if I come again, I will not spare:"* (= like: judgement?) 🤔

@@Corinna_Schuett_GER Well, regarding "absence" and "presence" here, I've always had the distinct impression that Paul was talking about his own actual bodily presence in person, that he didn't look like he sounded in his letters. He had been shipwrecked, beaten up, imprisoned, hungry, etc., and his poor body would reflect that with arthritis at the very least, probably even with Luke being with him to tend to his physical needs (?) I'm thinking that some of those who had never seen him before might even have been shocked at his bad physical shape for all he had been through in his travels.
