Yep and don't grippers lose some strength from their rgc rating over a 2-4 yr period. So a 212 rgc Close.might have been a 207-208 close? Still elite and fantastic by Ivan none the less. Anyone knows how long these heavy Coc grippers holds strength and say it's 1-3 yrs old.from the last rgc rating.. I have a 205 rgc rated coc 4 thats not quite a year old from CPW. And I wonder what the rgc will be say in 2024-2025? Will the strength rating fall a few pounds or remain the same? Anyone got info on this ?
Awesome video, Grip Brother!! It's good to see you're still at it, and I'm glad we have a real grip master explaining the differences. I remember when Paul closed the 4 years ago but that Ivan kid is a beast. DIES🐱L!
I believe him…you can not tell by looks( forearm size )…all the muscles involved in the close are deep and under other muscles in the arm …he’s young but I bet his training age is several years deep…takes a long time to build the tendon strength…this is awesome for him and you should be proud he basically said Jedd Johnson inspired him along with John call(jujimufu)
@@Torsdagskvallsmys definitely agree brother. I can do alot that I seen big roided look guys can't. Tendon and grip strength building is awesome. Saw a guy who's a pro bodybuilder having trouble with Dumbells 60lbs with fatgrip pros cool beans. And I not only can do that easily at 245 and this dude is near 300 lbs of muscle and roided, but I add those 26lb Russian training bags on arm with 45 dbs with fatgrips Pros on em. Ivan can probably throw a big guy's who outweighs him a bunch thanks to his years of grip and Strongman training. I wonder what Ivan weighs nowadays.
Ivan is a great athlete. I wonder why so many people questioned him but never decided to look him up or see that he has plenty of proof of his strength
I heard a couple times about a fella named Wes peart who was another young gripper star like Ivan. I believe someone said he closed a narrow pro or around there. It's hard to find data on him. Do you think he still trains and would rival Ivan or did he move on from grippers like Paul knight
sup jed great response to the coc 4 close..just wondering do you think ironmind might consider adding a coc 4.5 in the future as the bar is being set so high...i mean a teenager closing a coc 4 is just totally insane regardless of the setting method...thnx bro.
I don't think they will, personally. It's been brought up for years. But I could be wrong. We shall see. There's already plenty of grippers out on the market that are tight than the #4, anyway.
There's a kid on youtube who bought the beast gripper. It's about twice the size of a normal gripper and takes 1800lbs to close. No human could ever close it but somebody made it as a gimmick apparently.
@@jamesnm21 same with Cannonpowerwork's Unobtainium gripper. It's just as you described and uncloseable. They said themselves that the spring is so strong that it even if it could close by normal means, the handles would more than likely be damaged
@@Anemptybox These guys are in a different league to qianchen, He's all about doing whatever it takes to make the handles touch, Ivan can TNS a 180 rgc 3.5
everybody knew he was going to close a #4. I've been watching his videos since he first close a #3 a 17, and it was clear that he was going to close a #4 without an excessive set within a few years. Within the next year or so, I'm pretty sure he will be able to click it several times in a row like we humans do with a #2 and #2.5 for warm up..
@@gripstrength yeah. You just never know. I wonder if Mark felix trained he could certify with the 4. Suppose to have one of the strongests grips of all time in some categories. You rem him all?
Going to real tuff to close a strong 4 out of a package, but Ivan looks ready to pull it off Jedd. How many trys they allow for certification. Is it one gripper and then Ivan would have to try again if it's failed attempt?
@@gripstrength I got you. I just thought you might have checked with the interest in grippers and grip training and grippers training features in martial arts and gun videos seeming to pick up lately. . I know its gotta to be way tuffer now since they want make sure you cant tamper with the gripper as rumours abound now with Kinney and others that they may not have legitmately closed #4s . I do see what youve been saying brother on you don't fully trust cerfied closers when no witnesses and the gripper not.shown opening up and of course a few of them never closed #4s in a public setting or out of a package again after certification with a reputable witnesses etc. Definitely suspect. Now maybe we see a real recognized and legit powerhouse Coc#4 certification with a few folks trying for it. 🥊👍
HI jedd indeed Ivan is legitimate. Hes doing some amazing things. Like a no set 3.5 and Ivan can definitely close some strong #4. Now coc#4s out of the package are hitting more than 215-230 out of the package. So he can do it if he builds more strength and do it easy if he gets a gripper that's in the 205-212 range. I would think you have to be able to close at least 218-220 something to have the best shot at cc.close out of the package. So going to be interesting to see who does it first Jedd and everyone. Nice Larry gave Ivan huge platform to showcase what could be the most powerful known gripper and crushing strength in a young strength athlete. Also I wonder is this the era someone closes a.ghp10 with a 250-280 rgc or better 🤔
Larry Wheels if you are our there, please please change your technique, and take lessons from Ivan. Its painful to watch you close any gripper. If I can get as close to closing a 3.5 as you, there is something wrong, brother. Add technique and Larry will smash the 3.5.
Curious but slightly stupid question. When you are talking about the rating for the CoC grippers not done by Iron mind (like when you said that the #4 was around 208) is that done in lbs or kilos?
@@fresem how that even possible? when the 4 is rated for 365 lbs. and hows what youre saying dif than i poundage rating on the gripometer. surely a guy off the street can squeeze like a 110 and a world class guy isnt just twice as strong?
@@gripstrength I mean that it is necessary to use certain doping substances to be able to close the heavier clamps like the coc. n. 3.5 or 4 (obviously in combination with good technique) or is it just specific forearm and grip training?
@viktorjerez5459 you absolutely do NOT have to use doping substances to choose a 3.5 or 4. It's a matter of technique and training methods (like I teach in my products) over the long haul.
Are you sure about that, because this is the most recent cert video and he used a card: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yzm8aNULVJ4.html
I am a subscriber of Ivan Cuk since early 2021 and I can tell you.......Ivan is fricking strong and powerful at this point. Check out his channel, he's really reach far.
@@gripstrength No my friend I didn't mean anything. It was really for the persons on the comment section to have an open mind, that's all. Don't need to exaggerate buddy. Oh and I actually comment on him that he could be an arm wrestler when he met John Brzenk back in 2021 and he wasn't interested but as you can see he wants to try it when he visit Larry Wheels which you mentioned about how he does hold CoC grippers which is totally off.
Those guys are all pretty much little dudes with superior relative grip strength. I'm a sense of absolute grip strength, I've got them big time. But as far as being able to handle my own bodyweight, flying around, catch myself, scaling obstacles, there just ain't any way I could hang with them
@@gripstrength so where does the 375 lbs come from? I watched your video but I don’t understand why they don’t just say what they are? There is a hell of a difference between 375 and 202
Why are we discussing Let’s give him the no4 which Magnus closed And let him get the certificate The coc certificate will prove these numbers Simple solution
