Wisdom is a quality attributed to someone who possesses a large amount of knowledge and is distinguished by using it prudently and sensibly. I liked the way he responded to questions. Excellent video.👍👍👍

I unite with everyone here who's standing with Chan Sifu. I'd like to say that watching Mr Yueng and his inheritor, Sifu Smith, I always feel something coming off them and going into my spirit. The asker and I might have watched the same videos but I think our intentions differ. If anyone watches Andy Dale with Mr Yueng it brings out their current level of practice and consciousness. I hope he finds himself because some of us are starting to move beyond our ego and selfishness and it is liberating. Thank you Chan Sifu and the ones that produced you. Steve Smith is a legend, listen and watch him in order to understand yourself better.

Really good video. I Teach Guitar, and my experience completely parallels what you said about other teachers. Its frustrating. But I love to teach. Seeing that lightbulb moment and seeing the progress. Takes alot of patience.

Loved the quote from Sonny at the end.

I completely understand what you are after here. It's more about respect. When I spar with my teacher he wants me to try to hit him in a sparring sense, not an "I want to hurt you" sense. Not doing that is disrespectful in a way, but not in the "you got nothin" or trying to hit in a more real world attempt to hurt way.

This commenter...I honestly don't get why people have to make comments like this. Bruce's earliest students spoke of Mr Yueng and so did his wife. Personal assumptions mean nothing. People who think like this...I don't get it and I don't want to. Adam, I am very thankful for you putting yourself, your teaching and your thoughts out there. Always appreciate what you offer as well as the wisdom you point to(Jessie Glover, Steve Smith, Ed Hart, thoughts on other arts etc) Thank you sir.

If you go find the original comment. He starts it with "no disrespect" and what's very telling is, Steve Smith replied to it with, "none taken, thank you." Or something close to it.

Hi Sifu I follow your podcast and I think you are doing great job explaining ancient kung fu styles. I have read on internet that kung fu styles differ from each other by the breathing methods and training methods, can you please explain more about those ? Best regards

This is a very emotional response to a fool. I understand it, too. Ignorance drives me crazy too. It takes a lot for me to resist correcting someone. But there is a quote i like, "When arguing with fools, make sure he isn't doing the same."

There is a graph out there that shows a distribution that is found all over the world, and Adam just talked about it. The top of any field has almost all the talent of resources.

This reminds me of that video of some JKD kid who basically said thr same thing to this wing chun teacher in his own wing chun class.

That guy was no JKD guy. He might have had a lesson or two but I don’t think that guy had a clue what he was doing. It’s people like him and concepts guy that give Bruce’s martial art a bad reputation.

I’ve encountered this same shit with my Karate. Like what do I gain by “proving to you” its effectiveness if you already have an assumption about it

The best fighters are not necessarily the best teachers. The best teachers are not necessarily the best fighters. As a young man I was better than old me but as sure as hell I understand a whole lot deeper now which makes me a better teacher. If someone can teach me and am willing to do so, I am grateful. I dont consider whether I can hurt them . Why would I. To me martial arts are about not getting hurt. As one of my teachers told me fighting is bad only losing is worse. I am in my 70s now and learned something yesterday and I am looking to learn something tomorrow. If you have a go at me I might surprise you.

I’ve seen videos of Steve and he does look very skilled. However, I did see a couple videos where they seem to be a little woo woo intertwined in a few things. Similar to that of certain tai chi people where the student goes along and acts like it’s some mystical chi mambo jumbo. But I think he’s very skilled at the same time.

He's highly trained in meditation stuff and harder styles. He's good at what he is good at, and the best part of the comment is his misunderstanding of display and real skills. Dunning-kruger is in effect with him. I went back and read it. The original comment talks down Steve and Fook and praises Jesse and Ed, but Steve worked with Ed some and he was very close friends with Jesse. So it's pretty funny.

Adam this is a trap you have fallen for…. You have wasted time trying to explain to others who troll you about your abilities as a teacher. Fuck em all…. Do your thing…. If a students drop out, it’s life. Not everyone reaches the top levels. Let them all be. Follow your own journey and spread the knowledge. I enjoy your journey and I think you are a great teacher even if I have never met you. Onwards and Upwards.

Hearing this makes me think about all those so called Martial artist. Here on youtube, that say certain martial arts don't work. When they themselves don't practice the art. Nor do they find some one who does, so they can experience it for themselves. Instead they just arrogantly assume that it doesn't work.
