The parent companies that own these drugstore brands also on the high-end brands. They will pass down formulas after a certain amount of time to their drugstore brands, so a lot of what we are seeing now was once high-end! Just re-packaged essentially. I believe this is why overtime, drugstore make up, continues to improve, but the price is also go up with it. I remember I used to be able to take $50 into the drugstore to restart a full face of basic items but now that wouldn’t cover it. Of course, we have to take into account inflation as well, but since we are also getting better quality, I find that I tend to buy less and use up the things I get, since it does cost a little more.

Annie can you suggest a drugstore brand powder highlighter? Or if anybody else has suggestions would be much appreciated. I just bought one for $40 but i think im gonna take it back and get something lower price range😊

I’m not Annie but the Essence Pure Nude highlighter is excellent. Even here in Canada 🇨🇦 it’s really cheap. But a very popular powder highlighter because it’s absolutely beautiful.
