So that's a no on a lets play of House flipper because doing it in a game and real life is too much? Also on a more serious note, How about some kind of Greek/Atlantis ruins or even non ruins. Or how about some kind of underwater themed stuff. I love the building design, I can almost imagine seeing it driving around a town or something.
Hey Rovlemhage! Yes its been a busy few months, episode 2-4 are almost done and will be released soon. Thank you for the suggestions definately will notate them.
most amusement parks (Disney, Universal, etc.) have cool scenery you fly by when you are on a ride and they theme different areas. It’d be cool to see something similar in a video. Was a great tutorial!
Watercooler - OpenRCT2 I don’t have discord but a good example would be Avatar World at Universal or Tomorrow Land at Disney World. For rides you can think of Dudley do Rights Ripsaw Falls, or The Mummy (though that’s a indoor coaster).
I'm taken back because my history with RCT always surrounded struggling with the isometric perspective and trying to decipher small details when wanting to build really unique areas. Set dressing like this is just amazing; thank you for making these!
Really helpful tutorial on custom theming/scenery, there are so many pieces it seems overwhelming. But you showed me it's not actually that bad. Also, pretty funny that the black bear diner photo you used for reference in the top right is actually the diner that's literally down the street from where I live here in Cali. Fun fact, it used to be a generic island themed tiki restaurant before closing down, black bear moved into the vacant building shortly after.
This is great tutorial, I should try making some OpenRCT2 scenary myself sometime considering im pretty good at architecture and scenary in other games like Minecraft, Terraria, The Sims, and Classic Doom Map Making
@@Watercooler92 I don't know, some way for the game to take a snapshot of the build and be like "does this look sensible?" but it really seems like an insanely complicated problem
Can you do a video for beginners for controls and tools? I’m over here thinking paths have to be removed one square at a time... how do you get elevation to the various components? The purple squares? Thanks!
Hey Delia, unfortunately all videos are on hold for the forseeable future as I have way too much going on. I recommend checking out Deurklinks tutorials, you might even be able to request this from him.
Earned yourself a new sub with all of that incredible detailing! Looking forward to more. Is there any way to make regular paths and queue lines look better? I’m thinking separate from a roller coaster station but a tutorial on that would be nice as well :) Great work, and I eagerly await your next tutorial!
Great tutorial. Been watching some videos bij Marcel and Royr and now yours. Getting stoked to start playing open RCT 2 myself, this also means im a total n00b. The main question I have right now is... what is a bench? Is that the collection of custom scenery that we've seen in this video? Because when I look at the names of the scenery it seems to be from different packs/creators. All the props/scenery that you've used in this video seem to be perfect as a base scenery collection. Is it possible to download and install the full bench that you used? Can you explain how? Remember I'm completely new to this...
No problem, a bench is an empty park download. You can find it in the link. You download it and put it into your save folder. Open it and now you have all custom scenery from that save (workbench) in your game. You can find other benches on our Discord.
How do you place that roof section around 3:34? you seem to hold control to place it at the same height but then manage to shift it up a little bit without the game thinking you're trying to place it on the floor behind. I've tried holding control and shift at the same time but I can't get it working
So, I'm not sure you'll see this on the older video and such, but I want to get into custom scenery, and can't find a RU-vid video covering how to install it. I'm under the impression that the RC&F discord has some guides or something like that, but the links are invalid. I need to download a workbench right? How do I put that in the right RCT folder?
Thank you! If you are talking about trackitexture I am undecided right now as I'm not the best with it. However I will be creating tutorials with custom scenery stations on coasters.
Hey check out my most recent video of Silver Lion, you can find a link to my community there and if you still want to join RCF there is an invite in my community
