Nice plug for Frostadamus! You are two of my favorite vanilla content creators. Super appreciate the in-depth and broad view you are bringing to Druid.
Thanks mate, great vid! Would also like to see how you farm Lashers, which I assume will be easier in classic WoW as it there wont be any of those added packs with extra speed as per ND/Anathema etc. Looking forward to the vid about PROs and CONS - Trying to decide on playing one atm! Subbed and liked.
Definitely, I'd like to see how classic servers have DM set up and if they have systems in place to try to stop/hinder players from farming gold there.
Not sure that it will work on a Lashers, since Hurricane is a nature spell and these mobs seem to have high nature resistance. Mob resistances in fact very important for any spell-aoe farming and actual values in Classic may be quite different from pservers - so it is a big question for gold farming.
@@Ebbnflow anyway thanks for this video - I was also thinking about AOE farming as a Moonkin during 44-60 level bracket - this actually might be quite fast. Basically whole trick is to get Barskin ability on 44 and you good to go! And Moonkin form gives you same armor boost as Dire Bear form so you could tank several mobs in melee while using Hurricane - thus is could be a valid strategy, but as you point out - we need to wait and test it on the real Classic servers)) I'm currently working on the leveling guide for Druid and you are more than welcome to discuss, when it will be done!
heyho i play this build but can u tell me what is Heal prio for classic? 1 video tell me: HealingP mp5 spell crit int spirit and the other guy on the homepage writing:HealingP INT SPIRIT Mana per5, Crit
Gonna try this out on classic. I'm resto spec as I love farming dungeons with friends and healing is my fave thing to do, but when I do wanna q by myself it tends to get a little slow. I've found sticking to green quests/mobs and picking up 3 or 4 at a time then going bear WORKS but takes time, the bonus to that is there's no down time. Also no idea how nelf druids function doing farming the way I do because warstomp into regro/reju is such an integral part of my rotation lol. Without warstomp I'd be fucked.
Basically t0 and t0.5 with its procs made for aoe farm. It can help increase number of mobs you are killing at single pull from 3-4 to 6-7. Depends on other pieces of gear ofc.
Blade of Eternal Darkness can proc on each singular hit on the mobs while casting hurricane, make you much better at lasting mana throughout. And this epic dagger is easily solo-farmed as a Druid in Maraudon. Hell, you can farm this dagger even if you are 7 levels below Princess.
Yeah, most of what he says about classic is pretty accurate - but I heard that and I've heard a lot of players struggle to farm gold on healers so I felt I should share how I tackle gold farming. Glad you liked it!
I seem to remember the AOE method w/Insect Swarm and Hurricane on my Druid back in the old days (Vanilla up through Burning Crusade). Of course, I was full Balance and not Resto....
holy shit, not even with Blink that Mage was able to run? cool stuff... I didn't know Druid was capable of this... slowly leveling my first Druid character in private server... lots of fun so far... lack of AoE abilities suck sometimes, but it seems like it will be all worth it later on for the Lvl 40 abilities onwards
I'm primarily interested in world pvp as a druid but I also want to raid which means I'll most likely have to run resto. How do resto druids fare in world pvp compared to balance or feral? Will I still be able to raid and do well in pvp as resto?
@@russelladams9147 yea with all the guides out nowadays, everywhere is gonna be war. I feel like I need to power level to 60 just to get anything out of the farming spots or level something that can farm dungeons.
I would be interested if people ever set as a goal to go on Groups and Dungeons as Druid party only. Did anyone ever do that? I feel like that it would be fun challenge to play... I also thought if that was possible previously when I was leveling a Priest character on different server. Slow painfully slow leveling but so much fun, almost tactical survival at times
WOooo wooooot lets get it! I am very close to rerolling druid instead of Rogue for classic. I mained a druid in vanilla, but changed to rogue around cataclysm.
Remember that in classic there are no armor bonuses so many caster druids will be wearing cloth which tends to have a better selection of MP5 and spirit. This will help a lot with gearing.
Boy I played a Druid but i did stay as cool as you. Jumped around to much and i was a clicker. Each time i pull a aoe fam off it felt like luck. Thank for your videos. Might roll druid again
Although not very ethical/legal, I was able to 'sell' padre's trouser on ND as a druid by stealthing all the way up to the boss with the bear, aggroing it and jumping off, and the buyer would always be a healer so he would heal me while on the ledge. Druids can do a lot of stuff in all different kinds of specs and its an amazing class!
@@Ebbnflow have you tried boosting people's exp for gold with aoe mobtagging? When I do is as a paladin I get about 80g/hour, but I'm pretty sure druids can do that too.
feral for life (started BC)... but looks like everything in vanilla is caster for druid. What spec do you use for FC? That may be only thing that sucks me back in... miss those old days before every single class had amazing mobility.
I'm leveling (and plan on staying) as moonkin, and was thinking whether I should get insect swarm, that can't be used in moonkin, or the last point in improved thorns as my last talent. I think you persuaded me to go for swarm, even if just for farming Silithus cultists. Not sure if it's a good idea on bosses though.
You are a brave man to level as balance!! My suggestion is to level as feral until your late 30s to early 40s so you at least have access to some better abilities and gear from dungeons with intellect and spell power. Balance is a strong spec, moonkin is just a bummer since you can only use select abilities while in moonkin form. So I think getting insect swarm would be a good call!
Zeratul Rus I play balance in PvP and I’d recommend forgetting about moonkin. You’re a lot more versatile if you play with out it and take your points for some resto action!
Hey man have you thought about rolling on Deviate Delight server? It’s a fresh movement on classic no transfers allowed and a fresh economy. I really want to roll Druid and love to have a mentor as I’ve never played one before
what is your experience as a druid on horde with pve? I wanted to roll a druid for feral tanking or dps with all the new information private servers have given us like using the manual crowd pummeler, but it seems like alliance druids are just plain better in this regard. For dps having bow from a paladin seems very helpful since you are constantly shifting, and for tanking feral tanks cant proc windfurry so a fury prot warr will have an advantage with threat.
Yeah as a dps druid NE is your best bet. I raided one MC as feral and it wasn't really for me, too much prep just to do average dps. I enjoy healing though, so raiding as a resto druid is fun for me. Feral dps/tanking can definitely be good, just need to find a guild that will welcome you for the role you want to fill - I'd recommend checking out Skarm Tank on youtube. He has awesome tank/druid content!
I want to do these farms on HC. Is it worth going full balance to be a bit safer? Feel like it would be too sketchy, going regular moonglow spec otherwise. Of course you'd prolly have to respec for group content since noone likes the lazer chickens
@Ebbnflow No no, I'm not talking about SoD, just for the regular HC servers, I recently hit 60 on my druid and just don't wanna die tryna do these farms 😅
in my vanilla experience, that felwood spot was highly contested, to the point people who suck at pvp (alliance) would rather group up to deny a single person from farming it, even if it meant they had to stand around and wait for respawns for most of the time...
An update to this video from classic, mobs are weaker in general compared to private servers, druid aoe farming is way more efficient than showcased on the video.
aww, too bad. I really want to go druid tank but I am really into changing talents depending on what I'd do. For example if i I wanted to farm gold I could do this, but if I wanted to tank in a dungeon I could just swap back.
You don't aoe farm as well as a Mage but you can still aoe farm. They ether have to be lower level mobs or you could farm higher level mobs if you have good gear.
My biggest ugg is that we still aren't sure how classic is going to be tuned beyond 40 right now. I really wish Blizz would output some more data for us looking to really dig into Classic, like so far ive seen a few videos showing how dungeons and the 1-6lvl mobs are MUCH easier for melee than on Pservers. Will that play out through the whole of the experience or is it just the beta or what? GIVE US MORE DATA BLIZZ
@@sandrof100 see that's where your wrong, Blizz is "attempting to recreate a vanilla like experience". I.E they are winging it just as much as the Pserver teams have had to do.
I don't mind a group/multibox of druids farming or even botting unless they sit in a quest area and prevent anyone else from being able to complete the quest. If you're a druid, it's an incredibly rude thing to do if you're disrupting gameplay. There are plenty of places to farm that are outside of quest areas.
Subbed? Check. Liked? Check. Sitting at the edge of your seat in anticipation of the next video because this guy is one of the main reasons you can't wait to roll Druid in classic? Check.
@@Ebbnflow lol true but it added the skill of mana managment. and on the plus side you will actually be able to sell mana and health potions again on the ah
Cool video! But the part about druids being the best at this is BS a frostmage would wipe the floor with the speed to kill and pull sizes while taking less damage.
Now show this with some actual gear. The gear u show is very minimal, i asume that much more is possible if u spend a little gold on the AH (which will be used all expansion so a good investment). Or even a specific set that can include divers variety of items, as u are also taking the dmg there is more to it then just +spelldmg. Also this may open up aoe on higher lvl mobs , closer to lvl 60 or even some elites (even dungeons perhaps). I mained a mage in vanilla and going to do so again in classic, find the aoe farming but actually tanking mobs very interesting (played pala tank and moonkin as alts in expansions and did some myself). Great video with some new and fresh classic content, give us version 2 plz. Never played a private servers so soaking up all classic content is all i (nd many more) can do.
Btw , i do realise that the making gold thing is mostly a isue for fresh 60's. So a video with minimal gear is very usefull (and something more youtubers should do). But a small investment of gold farming or crafting can up the gear quite easy. And its just interesting to think about what u can do with higher gear and what is best , doing more dmg , taking less dmg , a combination of both. Mayby a specific set that u can get fairly easy can consist of spelldmg/tanking gear. Most people will do a large variety of things after hitting 60 and will see a large variety of drops and items. Most will go for specific items and "ignore" others. This whole style of farming u show could potentially make great use of those offset items to create a specific random set. This theory crafting is what we all love from vanilla, exploring the unknown and making use of all the weird and non streamlined things in the game. Again : awsome video for making people think outside the box.
