Pretty sure they don’t. As in, they don’t double dip. You get 400 resil bonus once only.

Mine has just done BG and Heroics, but ret paladin feels stupid clunky. I plan to keep the paladin around for giggles but I've moved onto leveling a new class for now.

Rets are sooo good in Cata. WOG (word of glory) can heal for 80k.

Rets have a talent "Acts of Sacrifice" that allows them to Cleanse movement impairing effects. They also get 15% movement speed from talents and 45% movement speed for 4 seconds when they judge someone 15 yards away. They be movin.

Rets win games off the ghost they summon and a passive dot doing 70% of their damage. So they are allowed to trinket air.
