DO NOT store them with batteries in them. If a battery leaks, there's no salvaging the unit as the body is one peice plastic. Also, don't be rough with the steel cable that retains the battery cap because it's anchored in plastic. They're cool and have a place
The blue light filter can only be used with the shroud pulled up over the light. The shroud helps restrict the flash from enemy view and makes it directional. Blue because no firearm flashes blue when fired so that approaching aircraft will not mistake it for enemy fires.
