This is an 18" H Faux Bamboo side table in pretty good nick but I did some touch up to make it a little more presentable.
Leave any questions below for me to answer. I could use some likes if you will. Thanks.

I have now been educated by a Master in the judicious application of an ebonizing rubber. Thank you, Zeke!

Questions: 1) What is the magic stuff in the one quart white bottle that you used to charge the rubber? 2) I guess there is a cotton ball in the middle of the rubber. Is the outside anything special or just a piece of cloth? For the gold accents, how about a gold sharpie marker?

The 'rubber' can be any absorbent material. Cotton balls work. The outer cloth in this particular case is an old 600 thread count sheet. The magic, as you call it, is simply a French polish. One recipe calls for 1/3 shellac, 1/3 turpentine and 1/3 denatured alcohol. Some of the store bought stuff has quite a few distilled petroleum products in them.
